Merry Christmas Nori-chan!
I miss a lot of things about Budapest, but most of all I miss spending time with my friends (especially our anime marathons :p). Hope that one day soon we'll all meet up again, but until then take care and hope you have a very happy Christmas and New Years!!
Hey,
Sometimes I forget about mangas I've read too... I've picked up a few and tried to continue where I left off and I was totally confused XD I had to go back a few chapters and rehash my memory. The latest chapter released for Deadman Wonderland is 45, so you have to read about 10 to catch up. That's not too much!
Oh yeah I noticed you still have to finish Michiko to Hatchin! Ghost Hunt and Mushishi are some other good ones you should finish.
It might be good to finish some of the ones you already started, but if you're in the mood to watch a show about vampires, then go for Shiki :D Lately I just watch whatever I'm in the mood for.
Ohhh.... no, I hope that they email it to you before they close down for the summer :S Thanks again for taking care of this for me, I really appreciate it!! I'm also worried about my bank account, since I was unable to close it before I left... apparently they are deducting money every month... bla. I wonder if I can close it or freeze it from here until I come back to Hungary to visit. I'm sorry I haven't been on MSN that much, this week I was busy getting ready for my bro and sis' homecoming. I feel so anti-social since I'm always appearing offline on MSN lol.
Hiyah Nikko-chan! Glad you FINALLY replied! :P lol jk.
I love when the Professor blames things on Sakamoto, like Sakamoto said that, or he told me to do that :P It's something that I would probably do when I was a kid.
I find Nichijou to be really amusing, sometimes the jokes go over my head when they are probably a reference to Japanese culture, but most of the time I find it funny.
Yeah Fractale started out strong and went downhill, I also felt bored near the end but finished it anyways...
The anime with the long title is really good, and only 11 eps. That's all it needed too, it didn't feel rushed to me.
Yeah the death race was in the beginning of Deadman Wonderland, maybe in episode 2 or 3. The show is getting better, now it's at the part where "Owl" goes berserk and the mysterious "Mockingbird" makes his first appearance. I'm not sure how far you've read so I won't go into details :P I think there will be a second season later on, since they definitely can't wrap up the story yet...12 episodes is not enough. Some of the undertakers they've shown are seriously twisted, like the little girl who likes to punish ppl for misbehaving....
Hanasaku Iroha is great, loved the past few episodes that dealt with Ohana's relationship with her mother and Kou. Personally I hope she moves on from Kou because their whole relationship after she moved away was frustrating to watch. I think she would go well with Tohru, but at the same time I feel bad for Minko.
Hey, how do you like Nichijou now that you've caught up? I look forward to new episodes each week, they usually come out on Sundays :D along with Hanasaku Iroha.
The nagashi somen part in episode 10 cracked me up... the girl with the red bowtie in her hair and her "eeeeeehhhhhh....." reactions XDD
What do you think of the love triangle forming in Hanasaku Iroha? Tohru likes Ohana, Kou likes Ohana, Minko likes Tohru, Ohana likes................?
The whole idea of a prison as an amusement park is very twisted. Did you see that scene in the manga with the death race? Prisoners were slaughtered and the crowd was cheering, thinking it was all special effects when it was real.... very disturbing.
The anime with the long name is about a group of friends that were really close when they were younger. One of the girls in the group died in an accident (we still don't know what happened), and even though they are much older now they are still dealing with her death. The main character has become a shut-in, probably because of the deaths of both that girl and his mom. Anyway, this character begins to see the girl that died, thinking it is a hallucination, and she tells him she wants him to grant her wish.... another interesting point is that only he can see her, none of his other friends can.
The show has some really good dramatic moments, the pacing is good with plot developments in every episode. I think it will only be 11 episodes too.
BTW what did you think of Fractale? I hate to say it, but in the end it was forgettable. It started out with so much potential too...
Hey,
Didn't you know that the best animes have longish names :P
Some of the characters are similar to other ones, but I still find them endearing :)
Did you find Hanasaku Iroha to be boring? I like the Onsen Inn setting in a country town in Japan.
I like Deadman Wonderland a lot, I think the story is really interesting. The whole idea to have a prison that is an amusement park is different on its own, nevermind all the other things happening. We saw another side of Shiro, that was shocking... to say the least. The animation isn't as good as this series deserved, but whatever!
I know I still didn't send you the form yet, I'll try my best to do it tomorrow... it's just so crazy here sometimes! ;_;
NORI-CHANNNNNN!!!! I just realized we won't be going to SakuraCon this year :((((((
Even though it wasn't the best animecon, it was still a lot of fun to go together.... I'm really bummed about leaving now... as it gets closer to the date I'm becoming sadder!
Hey,
Yeah I agree that both FMA's were good in their own way. I do kinda like Brotherhood a bit better since the plot was more interesting, and I hated the ending in the first FMA.
Fractale is the show to keep an eye on, because I think it will be the most interesting... we shall see. Only 4 eps out so far, and I think it usually airs on Thursdays.
Another show you should check out thats currently airing thats called Mahou Shoujo Madoka. You may think that this is a cute loli magical girl show, don't be fooled!! There is a lot of dark and disturbing undertones in this show.
Other than that, I really like Level-E, it has a Gintama vibe. The comedy style is quite similar and it's about aliens too. You should give it a look-see and decide if you can get into it or not. I am watching quite a few others, thinking of dropping Yumekui Merry so don't even bother with that one :P
Shiki was great, probably one of the better animes about vampires to come out in recent times. Don't start that until you finish FMA though :P
Don't worry about Fairy Tail, it's a fun watch, but nothing I think you HAAAAAVE to see, like Gintama :P
Heyyy, Nikko-chan finally updated!! :P
I didn't know you were watching Fractale, how do you like it?
And almost done FMA:Brotherhood :D It really has been a fun ride. Do you like it better than the first one or do you like both the same?
Hey! Yep I went up north to visit my aunt and that was wonderful. The best part of my summer so far because it was so beautiful up north. No waterpark so far because it's very expensive, I remember when it used to be like $15 for admission when I was small, and now it's nearly $40. Plus to pay for all 3 of us is a lot of money... sooooo we are planning on going to the beach, there is a nice beach here in Mississauga, the only problem is that the water is cold sometimes. My sis is coming back with me to Budapest, my brother too. I'm really nervous because I have a lot of things to attend to, to help with their registrations as well as deal with what I have to do for school. Damnit, I am not looking forward to coming back for those reasons, although I do want to come back to hang out with you and Zsófi again :D
I haven't been watching as much anime as I usually do, because there are always things to do. I am trying to finish up some shows that I was watching. I was also reading the Ouran Host Club manga and I just love it.
I am on MSN sometimes but usually as appear offline. I haven't seen you though, maybe because it's usually night when I go on and it would be like 3-4 AM there in Hungary :D but if I do happen to see you I will msg you and say HI!
I have also been exercising lately, I hope it will pay off and I lose all that stomache weight!
Yes my mom made yummy welcome home food, macaroni salad and hamburgers... yum :))
How has your summer been? How was it at Balaton??
Heya Nori-chan, if you have some spare time and looking for anime to watch I recommend Angel Beats! It's by the creator of Kanon (and Air, Clannad etc) and it definitely does not disappoint! I just finished the ending today, and man the endings to these shows always makes me teary-eyed :(

It's another favourite of mine from this season.
Nichijou gets better, so keep watching ;)
