Kuroko no basket is a sport anime. It may seem boring to watch an anime about a sport if you do not like sports, but at the same time it's not only about the sport itself. It has a great focus on the bonding between the players of each team and it also teaches a lesson, to never give up.
The above phrase describes the whole anime pretty well. The characters want something, they have a gold which they want to complete together and, truth be told, that's the only way to do it. There is trust amongst them and they each believe in each other
...
as well.
Even when everything seem lost, even when they do lose, they always manages to move forward. They cry, and they get disappointed but, they also have been through a lot, and not only at the current time. They have a history, and they carry a lot. All those things are what makes them take another step forward.
Now, for the sport funs, Kuroko no basket may seem more fictional than realistic but, it's not such a bad thing. Because it shows all the great moments of basket in every game, it's more interesting and you get hooked easier. It's intense, the andrenaline is seriously high -and I am not talking about the players'- and there is always the desire for more.
While watching season 1, it's expected to gradually consider the possibility that it cannot go further, that it cannot be better. Well, IT CAN. It always manages to become more awesome, it always manages to go one level up. You see something and you say that's it, that move can't become better, that one player doesn't have a move to defeat the other's player team, this whole thing is over. But, there is always more. Even if one team cannot win, the players always improve.
And yes, the main team is one, Seirin, but it also shows the other teams. It shows their hopes, their ways, their practices... You end up not being able to take one side but with contradicting feelings.
This anime seriously worths the time spending to watch it, even reading the manga. All three seasons are especialy good. They are epic -and I am not exagerrating-.
