Mary to Majo no Hana

The main themes are adventure, fantasy and magic, with comedy and friendship in both as well. Both anime exist in similar worlds, where magic exists but is a secret from the rest of the world. The main characters are clumsy but earnest young girls, who become witches and mature when faced with difficulties they must overcome. In Little Witch Academia, Akko (the main character) already aspired to become a witch, whereas for Mary, in Mary to Majo no Hana, it was more of a strike of fate. However for both characters the experiences they have as witches encourages them to become stronger, braver and more considerate.

Koe no Katachi
add

The storylines in the two movies surround themes of depression, suicide and rebirth. In 'Colorful' the rebirth is more literal, bringing in supernatural aspects. The rebirth in 'Koe no Katachi' is more figurative - a choice made by the characters to have a fresh start. The main plot of both movies are similar, where the characters face new relationships and emotions through experiencing life, slowly changing their world-view and getting them to realise how valuable it is. Both are beautiful films and make the watcher reflect on their own self. They should be a must-watch for everyone.

Kakushigoto

Both Fruits Basket and Kakushigoto are chilled, feel-good slice of life anime that have a more emotional underlying story/plot which develops gradually, drawing you in and leaving you wanting to see more. There is a good amount of comedy in both, which keeps the shows balanced and prevents the more dramatic aspects from making the episodes too serious/heavy. Both series do a really good job in investing you in the main plot and I feel that I can relate and, therefore connect, really well with the characters in both as well.
