Assault Lily Bouquet takes place in a all girls school/ training facility for Lilies.
A Lily's duty is to fight mages, the monsters that are roaming the world and that pose a huge treath to humanity.

The two main characters Yuyu and Riri are very different but still have a strong bond to one another.

Yuyu is a cold, frightening and misterious girl with a sad backstory that does not have many friends.

while Riri is a fun, cheerful and openhearted girl.

As for the other characters there's not much to say, they all have pretty much the same personality and I can't remember a ... single name.

The anime has a shoujo-ai feeling to it and I hope that it actually goes in that direction. As for the story the only thing that I am really intersted in is Yuyu's backstory as nothing else really got me invested, the monsters look like a mixture of the franxx and that pokemon magnemite and they aren't very "cool". None of the characters other than Yuyu really have any depth to them.

The music is great and the OP is a Bop!
The animation is also really good.

And it has very funny moments. My personal favorite line (this far) is “if I were a masochist I’d be over the moon”

I recommend Assault Lily Bouqet, it is cute, fun and simple with a tinyyyyyyy bit of depth to ONE (1) character and it has that "monsters have taken over the world and only teenagers can fight them and those teens only purpose is to fight these monsters and nothing else" feeling that Darling in the franxx and Evangelion has.

Okay so I usually judge a story based on how many emotions it makes me feel and that is the reason why I rated WDTFS a 10/10, this was quite literally an emotional rollercoaster.

The story started off pretty simple but as it got deeper into the backstories and past relationships of the charachters I realised just what I had gotten myself into and there was no turning back at that point.

*****SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON******
I actually was more intrested in everything that included Baek Seju more than the main plot, the relationship between Sumin and Seju is the best portrayal of not ... being able to let go of someones love no matter how much pain they have caused you that I have ever seen, and if the story completely about Seju and Sumins relationship and showed it from start to finnish that would have totally broken me by the end and in my opinion would have made a better story.

You see two people that clearly love eachother and are unable to let go of one another but that also have caused so much pain and hurt to the other.
Yet still they always come back to eachother. In my opinion this is not a story about love neither about recovering relationships, it is a story about letting go.
Both Sumin and Seju only truly find happiness when they let go of eachother.

Seju is supposed to be the bad guy but I couldn't help but feel incredibly bad for her, Sumin was her everything because she had nothing else and the line "why can't I even love one person the way I want to" was something that resonated with me a lot.


When I first started reading WDTFS I didn't like the art at first and because the main focus was on Sumin and Seongji's relationship nothing really stood out to me.
In my opinion the main plot about sumin and Seongji is something that you can find in many other Yuri manghwas but what made me rate this a 10/10 is the subplot about Sumin and Seju.

This is an incredible manghwa that I really recommend, if I would summarise WDTFS in one word that word would be Mature, the relationships between the charachters are some of the most mature ones and humane that I've ever seen in manghwa.
