My opinion
Alright going into this show i had heard soo much about it and was told often how this one to watch, so once i got round to watching it i was looking forward to it and the opening episode did not disappoint.
The opening episode sets the scene of this limbo type of place these individuals find themselves in. Also there was a girl (Nakamura, Yuri) with a massive sniper rifle who was primed and ready to fire, i mean it was pretty cool. So the whole setting for the show had soo much potential to be something fantastic, then it all just sort of fell apart. The story is broken up with filler and i feel didnt really spend enough time really looking at the character and developing them fully. Also the pacing of the show wasn't great and at time i felt i was simply going though the monitions watching this show. The story also just sort of gets confused and i feel like they didnt really know where they wanted to take the show and they ended up with a pretty roughly pieced together show.
I mean i feel i was a little hard on the show there, the ending was very good without revealing anything, i certainly felt satisfied. The show was entertaining, at times i was really really funny. Then there where times where the drama caught up on you and that also really helped draw the viewer into the show. Also the actions scenes did not disappoint one, some of the battle scenes were top class. The characters themselves were also very good, they all had there role to play and they did it fantastically well, some more than others and at times there where characters that were almost cheated of better development and screen time but i understand that there were simply to many to go though them all.
I'd like to make a special mention for the music, the sounds in this show were top class. Anytime there was music played in this show it just made the scene that much better and i think a lot of people who have seen this show would agree. The opening to this show was very good and has a very catchy tune which to honest was the reason why i just wanted to keep going on to the next episode.
In summery my biggest issue with this show is that it didnt know what it wanted to be, one minute it was funny next action packed next drama filled and it just didnt work well together for me.
Though if you were to ask me should i watch this show i would say: The show is entertaining and if you have the ability to just sort of stop thinking about whats happening and just enjoy the show it is good. So yeah go give it a try.

Pros
+Fantastic art style
+Really well developed story
+Well developed characters
+Ticks all the boxers for a really good slice of life anime
+Good pacing, keep you interesting and wanting more.
+The first story i have seen of its kind.
Cons
-The whole show could have been done in 3 or 4 episodes.
...
-The character Poppo was if am honest just sort of throw in on top of the rest of them, he really didn't serve much of a purpose if i am honest.
My opinion
From episode 1 i was fully immersed in this show because of the fantastic art style and outstanding voice acting. I watched the sub and i feel like all the voice actors played there characters fantastically. I cant say much more about the art style bar that it is 100% beautiful.
The story was very well paced, i know i said it could have been done in like 3 or 4 episodes instead of 11. The only reason i say this, is because if you missed the hook and you didn't really care about the characters and how the show developed them, id understand if you found it boring. The show itself isnt made to be full of action but the story is almost inspiring, and really draws on the viewers emotional attachment to the characters, i mean its really hard not to find yourself caring about this little group of friends. I feel if you look into this group of 5 friends you will find yourself and really be able to relate to them and what there going though. Also just to highlight it, this type of story is unique (maybe just to me) i havnt seen anything like it before but if i am honest i normally steer away from the slice of life drama shows.
Id like to give special mention to the main male character, Yadomi, Jinta without giving to much away, he is relate-able to really all people, he really highlights how weak people can be when faced with the big decisions he is faced with.
So to sum it up, Should you watch this show? before i answer that i will say that i am guy i normally would run a mile from a show that was so based on emotions and drama but once the hook was there i simply had to finish the show. So i would 100% recommend you give this show a try to just relax and get sucked in.

Pros
+Art Style Fantastic
+Voice Acting Superb
+Latter Half of the Show Fantastic
+A Well Developed Story
+Fantastic Character's both Lead and Supporting
+Really improved of the first season
Cons
-First Half of the Season Slow Paced
...
-Could have been Seen as boring form the start
-Ending was a little anti climatic
-Similar to First Season, A bit predicable
My Opinion
Alright here goes nothing, i literally finish the second season of Shakugan No Shana maybe 5 minutes ago so this is as fresh as it gets. I reviewed the First season of the show not long ago and it didn't do all to great from me but well enough to make me want to move on to the second season. The second seasons starts with the same issues that plagued the first season, it was really slow, the pacing of the show was really poor but what i will say in defense of the show is that as you go on toward the end of the season you begin to understand why they spent so much time in the first half of the season developing the relationship between characters but you could have had the same effect and only took up 3 episodes rather than 12. It was that slow at the beginning i nearly dropped the show but my love for Kugimiya, Rie as a voice actor kept me going strong.
Alright i spoke about the slow pacing of the first half but once it hits the half way mark it goes 0 - 60 in two seconds. In fact to quote Marchosias (a supporting charater within the show) 'Damn all these things happening one after another. I cant keep up with it all'. That really does say it all. It goes from 12 episodes of filler and stuff that was really uninteresting to holy shit whats going to happen next, how did this happen, why is this happen. The latter half of the show is the saving grace of the show by a long shot. I feel like the show would have been better if A) it was a 14 episode season or B) they started the action around episode 6 and developed the action scenes a little more because they felt rushed at times and there was some much more they could have done if they gave themselves a little more time on the action.
As for the characters my opinion has really stayed the same from my first review, ill give you the short version, Shana is still badass, Yoshida, Kazumi adds that extra twist and tension to the show, though as i said before pretty predicable how that 'love triangle' is going to turn out. Now my opinion of Sakai, Yuuji has changed a little. He is still a very good male lead and he's easy to follow and get behind, but in season two we finally see some weakness from Yuuji which was good to see, the second season did a great job of bringing Yuuji to the realization of the scale of the job that lies before him. Its not like he has a simple walk in the part ahead.
Alright the ending don't worry i keep these spoiler free, talk about an anti climax. We see one of the arc's in the show end around episode 18 leaving 6 or so episodes to go, meaning that there is always something going to happen and its going to be big and you wouldn't be wrong. The previous episodes were action packed and filled with thrills, the last 6 episodes don't disappoint for the most part but again it just felt rushed. How it was going to play out was pretty obvious thanks to the 12 episodes of development we were forced to endure and it really just fell flat right at the end, i honestly though that the ending would be play'd out in a film or something because there was so much that could happen in the last 10 minutes of the show but nothing really super exciting happens. In the end it is all wrapped up with a semi neat bow on top, my reason behind 'semi' is there were a few unanswered question that i assume are going to answered in the third season. If the pattern stay's turn then i can already make out the outlines of how the shows going to finish and i haven't even started season 3 yet.
So the big question, Should you watch this show? My answer if you made it though season 1 and are questioning watching season two, Do it, just grit your teeth and get though the first half of the season because the latter half is well worth it. I give the first half of the show a lot of flack but the fact is it was sort of necessary to fully understand the edge but as i said it could have done with being shorter.

Pros

Cons

-Little predicable

My Opinion
Alright let me kick of this review by saying i love Tsundere characters, especially when there voiced by Kugimiya, Rie, so i went into this show with high hopes and ill say there weren't met to the full but it was still a good show that i enjoy'd for the most part.
So ill start with the story, the story in the first season of Shakugan No Shana is really a lot of explaining and setting the scene for the viewer which is understandable and for the most part i didn't mind listening to story of Shana and how she and Sakai, Yuuji are both coming to term with there new environment. The issue was this is maybe it was a bit to much, i love these shows but even i found myself a little bored at times.
As for lead characters Shana ticks all the boxes for me as a female lead and really doesn't disappoint though out the show, she's funny strong and prefect for main role of this show. Sakai, Yuuji could have turned into a real mess of a character but he takes on the burden of his new responsibility's well and wants to become stronger, which i found would have been better than hiding behind the Stronger characters in the show. As for a three lead i suppose we have Yoshida, Kazumi who for the most part is really only there to add another twist to the relationship between Yuuji and Shana. The issue i always have with a second female lead in these types of the shows the fact that there isn't any competition for the male lead, keeping in mind when i'm writing this i am only half way though the second season, so i could be dead wrong but normally its pretty easy to see who going to come on with the male lead by her side. So yes they develop the characters well but they do rather slowly and it can damage the over pacing of the show and the overall enjoyment.
If you are looking at this show and expecting it to eat your heart out and make you sit on the edge of your sit, your not really going to get it here. The story although interesting isn't anything we haven't seen before so therefore it isn't going to make you jump out of your seat.
So should you watch this show? If your are interested in the type of show and have maybe watch and enjoy'd shows like Zero Louise then yes you should, you will find it still rather entertaining as i did. The show has some heart felt moments and so real fast paced action that you will enjoy but for the most part it can be sort of dry, so if you have seen shows with the same sort of premises as this and haven't enjoy'd it then its a safe bet this isn't for you.

Pros
+Solid art style
+Interesting story
+Female Lead (Gasai, Yuno) could be one of the most interesting charters i'v see
+Good Pacing for the most part
+Intro is awesome
Cons
-Ending was a little to convoluted
-Male Lead was just beyond annoying
...
-Pacing towards the end was poor
My Opinion
Alright let me preface this by saying i should have hated this show, i cant stand when the lead in a show is annoying and whinny, Amano, Yukiteru fits that description almost perfectly, but i do understand that the show couldn't have been what it was without this element. The saving grace was the counter weight to the Yuki and thats Gasai, Yuno, she is simply one of the most well developed characters iv seen in a show in a while. Her crazy personaity and action keep you thinking and make the show more unpredictable that most.
The concept of the story was something interesting to me and the way they laid it out aloud from some really badass scenes between characters. The show kept me interested and for the most part thinking what will they do next? how will they figure this one out? and Yuno never let me down.
Ahh the ending, don't worry i keep my reviews spoiler free but god this show could have used a better one. I feel like i would have rated this show a 9 if i didn't watch the last 6 episodes or so, the pacing was all wrong and the story was already convoluted enough without a whole load of to be honest unnecessary twists and turns.
I feel like i should have a special mention to opening to the show, as it is fantastic and i don't say that lightly, i normally avoid talking about it but i felt like it was a real work of art. It does everything its suppose to and gets me pumped for the show and also a little tease of whats to come
Should you watch this show? Yes the anime although has it flaws is still incredibly entertaining for the most part. I feel like you should most defiantly experience Mirai Nikki for what it is and also without a doubt see Gasai, Yuno in action

Pros
+Art Style is Beautiful
+Animation is Flawless
+Battle Sequences Are Immaculate
+Characters Are Well Developed
+Great Plot
+I could go one forever with pros
Cons
-Pacing of the Show is a little slow to begin with
...
My Opinion
So let me preface this by saying this is my favorite anime by a long shot so my view of the show is clearly going to be a positive one but bear with me and ill explain why it is my favorite.
With Fate/Zero gaining a lot of attention from being the prequel to Fate/Stay Night it had a lot of hype to live up and let me tell Tight moon meet everyone of them for me without a doubt.
The art style is really what sold it to me right off the start, it was simply incredible and put simply just very well done. Watching a battle sequence was like watching a triple A movie it was just gripping and some of the fights had to sitting on the edge of your seat.
The plot is also superb and exciting for the most part, what i will say as it one weakness is that in places it had some poor pacing and could have lead the viewer to get a little bored and a lot that is right at the start where there are explaining a lot of the characters and the backdrop of the show.
Characters development like a lot of things in this show is fantastic, as i said sometimes they would dwell on the details for a little too long but when you characters as badass as Saber, Emiya, Kiritsugu and Kotomine, Kirei you don't mind the extra detail. I could sit hear a go though each character and tell you why i liked each one of them but that wouldn't be a review that would be me having a fangasm. What i say is that you will love character, hate characters and it just makes the whole show just so much better
So should you watch this show? YES. Why haven't you watched this yet? It reignited my love for anime no doubt

Bit behind the time on this one but Ill keep this short a sweet. I am really sick of these anime's,it's just rehashed shit, i'm sorry but that's all it is. I finished this because i don't like having half compete shows on my list. It could not have been any less original if it tried. I mean there some pretty good music in there and that was really it. I could go into each character and pick them apart but whats the point, the fact is there were all just poor and the male lead just... ill say no more.
Should you watch this? NO just save yourself the time

My Opinion
Ahhh god where do i start this anime was just soooo boring, i have no idea why i didn't drop this show. I mean fan service fan service with a sprinkle of fan service on the side, not only is it obnoxious but it is just plain annoying. Even when they tried to add some sort of story to the show they ruined the moment with fan service it really hurt the show overall. Predictable is an understatement, a blind man of a galloping horse could have seen how this show was going to play out. The male lead was just really annoying and whiny, i just couldn't get behind him at all.
So should you watch this? No No No for the love of all that is good don't punish yourself like i did, might be good if your looking to go to sleep i suppose.

My opinion
Alright here's the deal, this anime is one of the funnier anime's i have watched though at times a little obnoxious which the fan service which was poorly placed at times. Honestly i would have dropped this anime pretty quick if i didn't find it so funny, that really was it saving grace. Coming up to the end they really mix some heavy drama which didn't hurt but after the show being so light hearted and chill to super heavy and almost sad at parts, it was just a pretty fast transition. As far as the story goes it wasn't fantastic and didnt really have anything to keep making you want to watch the next episode (apart from the latter half of the show with the heavy drama).
Should you watch this anime? This is a hard one to call, i really enjoyed but i can see why a lot of people would be put off by the first half of the show. Id give it a trial run, if you can make it though the first few episodes and still want to watch on you will not be disappointed as the story does get a little better and more interesting.
Hope my review helped

Apologies for the short pro's and con's list but i watch this show a long time ago and i was pretty impressed. At the time i hadn't seen that sort of twist on the whole zombie idea and it was sort of unique to me which made it all the better. The show itself tells a real nice story about a boy and girl with the whole twist of dead coming into play and they do a good job explaining everything to you so you don't feel like there are any plot holes, though it worked against in some cases where the show sorta got a little boring.
Should you watch this show? Yes i think you should, i feel like the well developed story and fun characters is well enough to watch this show and enjoy it
