This show, in the end, had a sense of fulfillment that most shojo anime lack. Instead of giving us a stressful and tedious "almost romantic" couple, Itazura Kiss shows a growing romance that progresses all the way though that annoying teenage crush phase into Marriage and beyond. But, even with this rare romantic progression, this show quickly becomes one of the most annoying descents into hell that one will ever encounter.
The story progression is really the only saving grace for this show's disastrous main character, Kotoko Aihara. Her antics that were cute in the beginning became less so as she grows older and goes ... |
