All I can say about this series, is that the characters are very well thought out and do not strictly adhere to any cliche character type, and I love how the different characters interact with each other as the story unfolds. What's more is how Tanabe uses humour to great effect without losing the tension of the overall conflict in the story.
The actual pacing of the storytelling has been very even and always gives enough information to move the plot but always leaves some suspense. Thought there is inevitably going to be a large conflict at some point, the story does a great job of ... almost making the main characters seem separate from the main plot, which really leaves you wondering how everything fits together (in a good way).
Overall, worth reading if you are into sci-fi shounen style things with less focus on action (there are still plenty of cool action scenes!), and great attention to details, I see no reason why you wouldn't enjoy this.

note:
The scanlation I read (it is not generally available in my country, and I'm poor) had some translation problems in some chapters, not a huge problem but it did require a bit of attention to make sense of some things.

I got drawn into this manga by its enjoyable opening chapters, but I honestly regret investing my time in it. I would recommend you read this review as a way to judge whether this manga is for you.

Story.

The story base is everything that a good shounen manga should be, and the way it progresses is pleasing to start with. The rivalry that builds between the main protagonist and the main antagonist is very cleverly constructed. Darker themes take the latter half of this series, and in no light sense.

The raw and graphic style of this manga is very impressive, no problems here.

Character.

Many of the characters are great in this, but none more so than the lead antagonist. If ever you wanted to define utterly and irreparably insane, look no further than. Other characters have their own distinct personalities, but the other main development is between our main character and the love interest.

This would have been enjoyable, but the darker element of the story take over far too much, making it utterly detestable at some points. The violent and graphic rape and public humiliation of the female lead really makes you sick. After this scene, it became difficult to read this manga, and I would honestly never recommend it to anyone.
