I was pissed after watching the "no yuutsu" release in 2009 (as you might have noticed from my review) but this movie completely redeemed the series in my eyes.
The plot was brilliant, unexpected, well developed and kept me interested. I won't spoil the movie but it actually wrapped up the series quite nicely. It was slightly open-ended but had good closure compared to most series (far surpassed my expectations in that regard)

I always forget what a task it is watching this series, it can be pretty taxing on you psychologically (though this is from a man's perspective, I've read some blogs from female watchers that seem to find it empowering)
The art and style was remarkably similar to the original series, which I appreciate as it makes more sense to watch it in the new order with the old episodes in between arcs. I always frown at inconsistencies.
