Here's more or less an old review I posted at time of watching this.
It's pretty underwhelming. There's not significant spoilers only a mention of which themes are explored and how they could have done it better.
5/10 It can be funny but that's about it.
Any seriousness is quickly ruined for me by simply bad writing.
The weird PS2 graphics 3D animations are kinda weird.
It's obviously not the worst show ever but Average 5/10 or at best 6/10 seems justified.
Not sure how the hell this has an 8.54/10 over here. Even 7/10 MAL seems high.
Bonus points for some of the music and soundtracks I guess those were pretty
...
neat.
The MC himself is also fun enough so there's that without that I'd have not even come back to the show after leaving for a while due to simply bad writing being painful.
The elf girl is also fine, it's really just the story, plot points, and world building that are honestly just bad and stereotypical at best. It reinforces a ton of the worst and unjustified tropes, has a poor understanding of slavery of practically any kind and is generally full of holes and things that don't make a lot of sense if you think about it for more than 2 seconds. It's partially not it's fault that the same "bad writing" being repeated in other shows again and again just makes it leave a worse taste every time I mean "Shield Hero" commits a lot of the same "sins" but that simply cancelled it out with other writing that actually did have some weight and quality to it. This show just doesn't. It's writing is "Okay" at best and simply "Bad" at it's worst. If you oversimplify and unrealistically present something like slavery again and again and again at some point it just becomes silly. There's a clear lack of motivation, cause and effect and general logic.
And it even had the gall to compare such an inaccurate representation to "the age of exploration" or whatever.
Now if he'd said that after seeing Elves capture and sell other Elves to humans, in a world where these humans are the only species that actually ended slavery but because they are Elves they use it as a good/bad excuse to buy them anyway and break the rules cuz "they're not human"
Now that would be a somewhat valid comparison.
Or maybe if there was a race they'd never been in contact with and they infected them and a ton of them died and they also treated them badly, and there was colonization and many crimes that go with it like r-word even that would be a valid comparison.
Although both of these comparisons would still benefit from a larger and more varied world, like how in war among most cultures and peoples in general "r-word" and slavery were the standard not the exception.
You could also switch the roles however you want and heck I encourage them to do so.
If you want to create a race of orc's that's actually the most civilized and closest to getting rid of things like slavery. Go ahead that'd be amazing though you'd have to also account for the problems they would face like elevating themselves above other races because they are civilized, and don't have slavery nor r-word their enemies, but also like how some orcs in particular those looking for money would ultimately find a way to somehow have r-word and slavery anyway.
And then if you have even more balls you'd also show a completely different socially functioning way of slavery and how all the people of a certain race including the slaves will defend that system when another group or race or the MC is trying to impose that they should end slavery.
Slavery plots don't have to be bad. But you're making them bad by not even thinking about them or being creative whatsoever.
I mean look at bloody One Piece, they got it right, the bad/worst kind of slavery isn't even really about race although it might be used as an additional excuse, it's mostly about Class. And even One Piece really only captures one kind of slavery.
I'm going on a tangent that was obviously far from the only thing the show lacked but it was just an example.

Bland, Boring and Disappointing. It can be funny sometimes but pretty much nothing really happens the whole show. And from what I heard it doesn't really do it's source material much justice. It's not completely terrible but it's very mediocre. The animation and pacing are bad in particular but there's also some plot holes or holes in the characters and world building that don't make a ton of sense.
Clearly copying parts of other shows like Mukoshu is one thing but this is just poorly executed.
Heck even the whole "the magic academy will come later I will become and adventurer first is copying the same
...
story structure. Except without the whole tragic event.
I'm sure that if made by a more capable team it could be just as good as Mukoshu at least from what I heard people say about the LN/Manwha/Webcomic and better in the fact that it's less weird. But as far as the story telling goes it's done poorly in this anime and the lack of action and animation in general just leaves it with very little.

Impressively Bad Writing, inconsistent as all hell, I guess I gotta do this spoiler free although I dislike doing that.
It's impressive that a story that's just a copy paste of the same story that's been told a 100 times already, that you still managed to mess it up. It's like not even being able to make the simplest dish without ruining it.
The power levels/abilities are inconsistent and they forget they can do things all the time.
They never really get back to his "back story/village" it's constantly mentioned in his head but it's never a plot point. Not even in the final episodes which it seemed
...
to build up towards but it just dropped the ball completely on that.
The characters aren't even that terrible but it's just literally everything else, it's full of holes. Oh well and of course the thing I mentioned right away is that the implication of him "taming" them is lowkey kind of sus and messed up. Like the start defenitly sounds more like a villain origin story. I'd defenitly say the show got worse the longer it went on. Tania and Runa were the only characters that seemed slightly better/funnier than the rest. (though I did end up being mad at Tania/the writer for again simply forgetting completely she can certain things, which she only uses like once throughout the whole show.) If you're gonna make characters unreasonably OP, COMMIT, you can't just pull back after one episode and be like "whoops we went too far let's never repeat that ever again" and then pretend the villians are somehow still supposed to be a threat.

The only thing this show excels at is being horny.
Most characters are flatter than Yue's chest, especially the side characters.
I came here in the naive hope that maybe they'd take it a step up from season 2 and actually get some character development going for the side characters. But nope this whole season is 100% completely predictable and happens exactly how you think it would happen all characters stay essentially the same Especially Koki which is their biggest fumble when it comes to writing.
Imagine writing such an inherently flawed and hateable character but turning away every single opportunity to try and change or improve him
...
the moment with Eri was probably the biggest one but in this season again there were again a few major easy opportunities and the writing is just absolutely soulless and unrealistic. If the character is a male then by definition the writing is non existent, and even for the MC it's still not even that good. This show was maybe like a 7 back in episode 1 of season 1 but it's gone steadily down overtime and over these seasons and episode. Actually I'd say it pretty much stagnated already halfway season 1, and stagnation is the same as getting worse.
Eri is uninteresting, boring and an ass villain as well. Should have died a whole season ago and yet they are still keep trumping her up.
At least we didn't have to deal with actual children being in sexual situations this season but somehow it's still not any better than season 2 and season 2 was already pretty awful.
I already quickly started to dislike this show for even a part of season 1 but it's just become worse and worse. Not worth a season 4 but at this point nothing surprises me if they make one.. any sane person can already write down exactly what will happen in season 4 and the worst part is that you know it's going to be true because this show never, ever does something unexpected or any major form of character development. There's always that 1% chance but I've been disappointed time and time again watching them fumble every single opportunity to have better character writing.
The story and world building isn't really any better but I can pass that off as normal or mediocre if the characters had been good.
But they are not they are just bland even the ones they do give attention range from a 6~7/10 when it comes to writing.
With probably the bunny being the least boring SOMEHOW even though she has such a simple character already, somehow that simplicity makes it the only character that feel half decent.
I get that it's a brainless isekai Harem anime but that doesn't excuse it being this bad. They literally just ignore 90% of the classmates and the ones that they don't ignore and give screen time they somehow still mostly ignore.
Every resolution and conclusion is unsatisfying and bad. Koki is such a punching bag for the writer that it practically makes you nauseous, bro got SA'd had a classmate killed in front of him and by the person that harassed him and still there's no change in his character, the sole reason for his existence is so the writer can kick him down. And the only other male present who's emptier than a sheet of paper (I still don't get why they didn't just take the assassin guy along even he was more interesting) and yet somehow watching him is less frustrating because at least he also doesn't really get any attention and screen time so at least the writer isn't even pretending with that one. I hope to all that is Holy that writer at least realized the irony of one of his few moments being about "I'm nothing but a side character" because goddamn you're just calling your own writing out at that point. Bro barely qualifies as that he's basically a background character. But at least it's seems somewhat self aware. Koki's writing is just beyond disgustingly bad. "We have Mitsurugi Kyouya at home" headass, bro is a Parody of a Parody to the point where it's Post Ironic garbage. The only reason this show can possibly be rated a 7 on average is HORNY. Because that's literally all it's got even the humor which it kind of had at some points in the beginning of season 1 is 90% misses and just feels weird. 4/10 Because I've seen worse, but I haven't seen many things that are worse.

It's very inconsistent quality and start of extremely bad. But it has some episodes here and there worth of calling a "6/10" but at it's worst it's like "2/10" so on average a 4/10 seemed fair.
First I'll say the positive things:
-The Intro kind of slaps
-Lena is a W from the start, and kind of stays that way through the series.
-Occasionally there's good writing a like... hints of actual character depth mostly in episodes which include Lena be it a coincidence or not.
-There's decent character design
-The world building is fairly okay as well.
Alright on to all of the problems:
-Lazy (missed opportunity, you could have made it
...
about the MC having to find a creative way to use his seemingly useless skill, instead he never actually uses it again apart from very early on and like 1 other time. Halfway through episode one they already ruined the premise of their own story. But worst of all they don't even execute the lazy solution properly and correctly as they don't have him simply become OP even though there's 0 reason he shouldn't be able to.
I get into detail on my reviews on each episodes specifically but essentially another one of the biggest issues is logical flaws.
Things that quite simply don't make any sense, people having authority they shouldn't, but also just things that make no sense happen all the time.
I don't want to mark my comment as a spoiler but from here on out I'll discuss slightly more detailed things and criticism so if you want to go in completely blind I would recommend you stop reading here.
-You gained the power to solve food shortages and world hunger, obviously there's gonna be a catch but even if there wasn't it defenitly seems like an easy skill just get rich off. Meanwhile he's out here selling weird singular grapes. Like tf, that's not how grapes work. They aren't necessarily a bad choice as they are seen as expensive and wealthy in most ages throughout history but that's not how you grow and harvest them.
-Of course he bloody adopted a child, sure why not.
-Creativity is out of the window lol "eats another fruit and instantly acquires "sword god" undoing the whole plot of the bloody show" There's a 100 different directions you could have taken his skill and plenty of them would have been interesting but "nope."
Also FYI if it's just legal to produce skill fruits like that why did they have to wait for like some silly ceremony thing like... what.
WDYM "two skills" my man are you actually like mentally challenged, the reason I was pissed was because of this silly writing, you can just eat the whole crate of skill fruits and become a demi-god, that's why I was annoyed at the dumb writing. (Nvm the fact that the child used multiple fruits in the food so she should actually be dead but okay)
It's also so silly anyway because being immune to the poison shouldn't make the skill fruit work. That'd mean every single person with some form of poison immunity skill would just be able to eat multiple fruits. Heck just make an antidote for the poison, even if it's cyanide that'd still be somewhat possible I'm sure there's some skill who can do that or even straight up just "heal" the poison. I'm starting to be convinced this was written by AI. B series was way too generous this is like a D series.
-at some point they try to convince you fire doesn't conduct electricity.

It has it's moments but it's pretty average overall.
I took a long break after watching the first 2 episodes, and now just finished it.
It felt both Rushed and Dragged out at the same time.
We've only really scratched the surface of the actual "story" the whole season feels like a prologue. But at that the same time the actual episode and story arcs feel somewhat rushed and predictable, like all the answer become clear right away. It's very predictable.
I'd say the world building and characters is probably it's strongest side... but even the characters are real up and down, even though I like the few characters
...
that they do develop, overall all the "character drama" feels stupid and mostly just a lack of communication.
Without spoilers "the moment with the mother, and the moment with the brother" in particular.
Also apart from that the author/creator is weird AF lol, like the designs are wild, and there's multiple "kinky" things in both designs and moments in the show itself that are very much "suspicious". I mean the characters even straight up call it out at some point.
So I guess if nothing else the Author is just that shameless.
Oh and apart from a few characters most other characters are pretty empty, and I was disappointing to see that the moment the arc of certain character was over they just kind of returned to being a bland background character.
So even if you have fairly well written characters when there's really only 2~3 being put energy into at the time it ends up still feeling very empty and lacking.
It has potential, and maybe the manga is better, but I can not give this show as it is higher than a 6.

I can not in a sane state of mind "recommend" this and especially the start is quite rough.
But overall the episodes get better and more wholesome the longer the show goes on. I do think the writing is actually of quite decent quality. I was frustrated by a few things, don't go in expecting a proper face reveal because even at the end they kind of blue ball you on that.
The Characters are decent though some are mostly annoying (the witch imo even though she's "a good person") and there's not much depth to most of the side characters.
The action is quite decent but I
...
would have like to see more of one particular thing he did about half way through the show which was pretty much the most powerful attack he had though it's understandable that it's not cheap or easy to repeat that but I thought it was very creative.
Also this story better not end without us going to the moon.

As a die-hard One Piece fan...
Obviously the animation and singing was very good but the story was kind of ass and it didn't seem that well written.
So visuals and Audio score pretty high but the overall content I'm just really not feeling it.
So It's good and bad at the same time, leaving it PRETTY MID.
The 3D stuff was kind of goofy as well, a lot of the characters behaviors just didn't feel right and responses were weak.
It felt very bland, including the fight scenes especially it felt very unnatural like "let's show each of these characters doing a move just for the sake of it"
...
I've cried at a lot of one piece but this didn't even come close to making me tear up. It's just very clearly not written by Oda.
Low-key feels like a kind of mediocre fan fiction. Most characters felt off and not quite used right, both their personalities and their moves. The choreography seemed pretty bad most of the time it was very linear.
The plot twists felt more like excuses for bad writing, even the ending doesn't make a lot of sense.

Bearable.
This is what Americans mean when they say "We work more hours though" *Proceeds to spent 50% of the their hours on pointless things like meetings.*
Look it wasn't completely terrible, but compared to season 1 for example it was utter trash.
The world building is "good" but you can't literally just *only* have world building and exposition.
there's funny moments, interesting ideas. But nothing actual which even remotely feels like it poses a threat at any point.
This season felt like the story was over, and now we had to find a way to keep it going with things we hadn't completely resolved yet. It's like someone
...
is writing, but no longer has a Story. Imagine like if at the end of an epic movie you just kept writing "and he went home, he ate lunch, he went to the toilet, he watched the birds, he started thinking about renovating his house," and they turn those few phrases in like 20~30 minuted episode. It's like a Badly written Epilogue. Like as if at the end of the Hobbit, Tolkien had a whole book literally about Bilbo just living a boring Hobbit life, except in Tolkien fashion he still describes it in excruciating detail. They even messed up the most easy W in anime history "a fight/tournament arc" like... how do you mess that up this badly.

Probably being a bit generous here but yeah let's start with the positives.
+ Fast/Good Pacing
+ Can be fairly funny sometimes
+ Not bad in a "discomforting way" just a typical B series.
+ Iris is a mood, also DIO (even in a show this "meh" there's still good VA's)
+ It can have "charm" kind of like how Fairy Tail is "Charm > Writing" except unlike Fairy Tail it doesn't pretend to have good writing which does make it less "frustrating" to watch than a B show that pretends to be an A or an S.
Aight, here's the bad things:
-The "good pacing" is sadly because of an utter
...
lack of writing.
-Kind of anti-climax/bad ending.
-The best parts were in the middle of the show, not the end nor the start which... is generally the opposite of what you want.
- World Building = 0 Nor does it make any sense
- I know the top review says "Show don't Tell" but it doesn't Tell the things it should either. There's one major thing it never explains and it literally cuts away from the explanation and as the show goes on all you can do is assume that "there was no explanation."
-One plot line it kind of just "forgets about?" (I know crazy considering it barely has any plot.
-The overarching plot the series hinges on, is not really explained or solved, or resolved in any way.
-The characters are the only reason I stuck around and they aren't even really good, it's just that they "can be" funny occasionally somehow more so in the outro. Alma feels most of place/empty, it's not that she doesn't do anything it's just that the other can at least be narrowed down into a "relevant" stereotype, whereas this is just "Side/Supporting Character"
Anyway certainly not impossible to get enjoyment out of this but very Cookie Cutter, and not much going on when it comes to writing.
