Some people dislike this anime because they say it's a rip off of Sailor Moon. I will admit that it kind of is (with the addition of animals), but it's really not too bad of a show if you give it a chance.
Story - Ditzy teenage girl Ichigo Momomiya (I will most certainly not call her by her dub name, good lord) is the main character of this anime. She and a few other girls collaborate and make a team to stop aliens from taking over the earth. While protecting the earth, she tries to get a boy named Aoyama to fall in love with
...
her. All girls in the team have an animal that their transformation is based on, Ichigo's being a cat. An alien named Kisshu falls in love with her, so there is a love triangle between her crush, her, and the alien.
Art - The art is cute, girly, glittery, and is all around very fitting for this anime. Nothing too spectacular about it. The transformation and battle scenes are pretty neat, but they do get very repetitive since the same clip is used in numerous episodes. I kind of wish they hadn't been cheap and they had made more battle scenes, that would have made it better.
Sound - The opening is pretty nice, and the ending is too. However, just like the art, it's not that special or anything. The voice acting is the same way (Japanese, of course). In the dub, Aoyama sounds like a 50 year old man. It's really frightening, actually. (The dub for this show was an all around fail, thank goodness it was cancelled!)
Enjoyment - This anime is pretty enjoyable. It has many humorous moments, romantic ones, and kind of deep ones too. But I found it kind of hard to take seriously, considering the fact that it is just a magical girls anime. It's fun, and it probably won't bore the audience too much.
Overall - Tokyo Mew Mew really isn't that bad of an anime. It's silly, repetitive, and a copy of Sailor Moon with a few added things, but if you give it a chance I don't think you'll be too disappointed. You won't get any masterpiece, but TMM is way better than some garbage anime out there. Just don't watch the dub. It sucks. Hard.

Junjou Romantica is not the best anime. However, for whatever reason, I couldn't bring myself to hate it.
Story - This is (obviously) a yaoi anime based on 2 main couples; a tutor flirting with his friend's brother and a teacher who falls in love with a younger guy. There's a 3rd one as well, but it's not quite as important. The first one, Usagi and Misaki, is really the more focused on of all of them. Basically, all the couples do is argue, get all depressed, and then have make up sex. Lather, rinse, repeat. That's the main conflict in this anime, in a nutshell.
Art
...
- Um, to put it bluntly, the art sucks. In my opinion, the worst part of this anime. Seriously, Usagi's chin is awkward and boxy. It looks like someone took a hammer to it and then tried to fix it back to normal with their hands or something. I think someone already pointed this out, but the characters pretty much all look the same but with different hair and eye colors. Very boring designs. Needless to say, the art is absolute crap.
Sound - Opening and ending songs are garbage. Seriously. Background music was bland, didn't do much to enhance some of the more meaningful moments in this anime. Not much more to say about this.
Character - Here's where I'm kind of drawing a blank. The characters aren't bad necessarily... just not the best. They actually do develop, but still. I could predict their every action before they even made it. They're just plain boring. Not sure how else to put it. They're whiney, and the seme of the relationship seemed to be obsessed with exploiting the uke. Same old, same old. However, they have proven to have interesting interactions with each other on occasion. It is kind of amusing to watch the uke being taken advantage of, over and over again.
Enjoyment - Junjou Romantica wasn't all that bad. Repetitive characters, boring plot, ugly art, terrible music. It sounds terrible from how I described it, but if you watch it yourself you'll see that it's kind of a fun anime. It has a lot of issues, but it's still cute. It's entertaining, just not the best thought out show out there.
Overall - I know it seems like this whole review is just bashing JR, but it's not the worst anime out there. There's better, of course. JR just isn't an anime that you can really hate exactly. Yaoi fangirls, if you're looking for porn without a plot, don't watch this. The sex scenes in this aren't explicit, and it actually does have a plot (as lacking as it is...) If you like cute romantic relationships between 2 guys without much substance, then give this a shot. If you can stop staring at Usagi's hideous chin, you may even enjoy this. ^_^

I first watched this when I was around 7 or 8, and I became completely obsessed with it. Since then, I've probably re watched it 20 something times, probably even more. Ever since watching this film, I've been in love with Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli's work.
Story - A young whiny girl named Chihiro is moving. On the way, her parents make a wrong turn in the car and they end up at an abandoned theme park. At night, her parents mysteriously transform into pigs, and Chihiro becomes surrounded by spirits. She meets a boy named Haku who takes her to a bath house ruled by
...
a witch named Yubaba to get a job so that she can stay in the spirit world. This sounds very corny, and hardly does the actual story any justice. Watch the actual movie, and you'll see how great the story is. Throughout this animated film, you witness Chihiro developing into nearly an entirely different character. It's really quite astounding.
Art - The art is absolutely gorgeous. The scenery and backgrounds are amazingly drawn. It's very detailed, and fits the scenes very well. As corny as this sounds, every time the wind blows through the grass, I can nearly feel a gust of wind on my face too! Character designs were great as well, I might add.
Sound - I think this may be the strongest point. The soundtrack is amazing, to put into simple words. It fits so well with each scene, just like the art. Joe Hisaishi is a great composer, and I can tell he really put his heart and soul into the creation of the music. I particularly enjoyed "One Summer's Day" and the ending song, which I don't know the name of.
Character - I love each and every character in this anime, literally. I didn't like Chihiro much at all at first, but I ended up liking her a lot in the end because she changed so much. Each character was unique and likable. Not too often will you see characters like the ones in Spirited Away.
Enjoyment - Basically, I enjoyed this anime and I still do even though I've watched it 20+ times. :P I think this is really one of the best anime out there. I highly recommend it to any anime fan out there. It's great in all aspects. I honestly don't understand anyone who gave this a negative review.

I absolutely adore this anime. I remember being 8 years old and rushing home from school to watch my VHS Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes that my mother borrowed for me from the library. I got teased for being a girl and liking this show. Actually, I still do! :)
Story - A teenage boy named Yugi Mutou solves the Millennium Puzzle, which is an ancient Egyptian artifact. The puzzle is possessed by the spirit of an ancient pharaoh (Atem, Yu-Gi-Oh!, King of Games, etc.) The pharaoh remembers nothing of his past, besides the fact that he previously resided in Egypt. Yugi's grandfather owns a game shop, so he
...
gets his deck of cards from him. The show is basically about a card game (or Duel Monsters). Yugi wants to help the spirit figure out the truth of his past, so he goes on a quest to find all 7 Millennium items and 3 very powerful cards called the Egyptian God Cards.
Along the way, he travels with his group of best friends, defeats great duelists, and even makes some enemies too.
Art - I really like the art in this anime. I think it fits very well with the series. The character designs are very unique, particularly Yugi's. You couldn't mistake that crazy, spiky, multicolored hair for any other anime character, after all. The monster designs are pretty cool, especially the dragon ones. They look pretty awesome, but a lot of others are cool too. The God Cards look pretty badass, even if the Winged Dragon of Ra is a mega ultra chicken (YGOTAS reference! :P)
Sound - I love all of the openings and endings for YGO. Even the 4Kids one is good. The voice acting is awesome too, and this goes for the English dubbed version as well! It's pretty rare that I actually like the dub as much as the original Japanese version. The background music fits very well with the scenes as well.
Character - The characters in this show are great. Yugi's friends are awesome. I think one of the best characters is Seto Kaiba; he's a really cool rival. He may act like a total douche, but I think on the inside he knows that he and Yugi are friends. Anzu/Tea is kind of pathetic, and I think she was only added so that there would be a female in the main cast. But still, it wouldn't be the same without her. Jonouchi/Joey pretty much won most of the time because of sheer luck, but he still developed a lot throughout the series and by the end of the series he learned a lot. Honda/Tristan? Well, I have no idea what his purpose was. I guess to make Yugi look better. But still, like Anzu, it wouldn't be the same without him. As feminine as they were, Pegasus, Marik/Malik, Dartz, and Yami Bakura were badass villains. Of course, I'm sure you could tell by my username, but Mai is my personal favorite character. :P Even if she didn't win a single card game on screen.
Enjoyment - I enjoyed every last second of this anime. Sure, you could argue that there's too many card games and not enough character development, but it is for a younger audience. When I was little, I didn't notice anything wrong besides the fact that Yugi always wins. I enjoyed this anime so much, that I teared up when I watched the last episode. Luckily, I soon discovered GX so I wasn't as depressed. Basically, this is a very fun anime and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Overall - As you've probably gathered from my review, this is one of my favorite anime of all time and I love it to bits and pieces. It may be just because of nostalgia, but still, it's definitely worth your time.

(There may be some mild spoilers in this review. I've tried to tone them down a bit, but they still might be in here.)
For the past four or so years, I've been told by online friends what an amazing, wonderful, beautiful, yet horrifying anime this is. I've also heard people saying that this is "the best anime ever made" or "a masterpiece". This sounded very appealing to me, and I finally decided to watch it just to see if it lived up to its hype. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this anime is a big overrated pile of crap and is definitely not worth watching
...
past the first episode.
Story - A pink haired girl with horns (a species of mutants called the Diclonii) escapes from a facility by brutally murdering the people working there. She's shot in the head (she was wearing a helmet) by a man, but doesn't die, and is instead found at the beach (with blood dripping from her wound) by a boy and his female cousin who desires to have a relationship with him. Unbeknownst to him, she has a split personality and the only thing she can say is, "Nyuu!" She seemingly has forgotten anything about her past. Then, they decide to take her home. Nyuu (as they decide to call her) ends up sitting in a pile of her own urine (which made me crack up, by the way) and then she and the female cousin (Yuka, a very irritating character, but I'll get into that later) take off their clothes and bathe together.
I won't give too many details on the rest; it's all boring anyway. Basically, a bunch of people get murdered or dismembered by Lucy's vectors and people get naked. Fun. Jesus, the writer or animator of this show obviously was very horny while producing this; seriously, a majority of the characters were completely naked at least once throughout the show. It was almost as if they were desperate to get them nude or something.
Anyways, the story is very mediocre. Everything in my opinion seemed rushed, or as if they were trying to force it to happen. There's so many plot holes, I couldn't even begin to name them all. Watch it yourself, and you'll see what I mean.
Art - Actually, the art isn't too shabby. The background scenes are really quite beautiful, and I was impressed with the art in the opening scene. The gore scenes were pretty well done. However, the actual characters in the anime are drawn in a very bland manner that took away the effect that the scenery would have without them. The Diclonious all look nearly identical, besides their clothing. But I guess it's so they look different from regular humans, so I can't really complain.
Sound - Bleh! This was really pathetic. "Lilium", was the opening song that was used many times in the anime itself as background music. It wasn't too bad, but they played it way too many times. It was repetitive and boring, and by the 13th episode, I wanted to bleach my ears whenever I heard it. Nothing too special about the voice acting.
Character - Now, this is truly the worst part of the entire anime. I've honestly never seen such an awful cast of characters. They were unrealistic, and very stupid if you ask me. The writer obviously wanted the viewers to feel some sort of empathy for the characters, but it's really impossible. In this anime, it's somehow rational to go on a mass murdering spree just because you were treated poorly before. I'm sorry, but how is it perfectly acceptable to kill a bunch of innocent people just because of your "sad" past!? It's just so unrealistic. I know it's anime, but really. Everyone in this show is either bat shit crazy, or really dumb.
Enjoyment - I didn't enjoy this anime much at all. The only things I enjoyed were watching Nyuu piss herself (it was pretty damn funny), and the gore was kind of amusing. But other than that, nothing enjoyable about it.
Overall - To sum it all up, this is the most overrated pile of shit I think I've ever seen. It truly does not deserve its reputation. Am I missing something here? I've heard so many words of praise for EL, but I just really don't understand how this is an "excellent anime". How can so many people enjoy this? It sucks! If you haven't watched it, please don't waste your time like I did. Learn from my mistake.
