Hell, it's been a while since the last time I've seen something so bad. The characters spend 80% of their time talking non-stop about boring stuff like "the rules" of the world that don't make any sense at all for several chapters at a time. The worst offenders of this are chapters 11-16 where there is not a single fight to be seen because the protagonists are to busy "planning" how to beat Altair. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi

I had heard a lot about how great was this movie, so I started watching it with high expectations. Big mistake. The plot and characters were quite average with some plot twists out of nowhere, even for a movie directed for a young audience.
The animation and sounds were both good, as it was expected for a Studio Ghibli movie but they aren't enough to give this movie a higher puntation. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to spend the time or so, but if you are looking for a very good movie, you better look in other place.

If you're like me, and you're looking for a proper explanation of all the mysteries the TV's final left unsolved, let me tell you you're in the wrong place.
Like some of you already know, the last two chapters of the TV series took place in shinji's mind and left us all with the feeling of "WTF? That's it? That's the fucking final? This movie on the other hand, although doesn't solve the mysteries, it does explain what was going on outside of Shinji's mind during chapters 24 and 25, showing us what happend with the rest of the characters.
