Alright so, the main reason I wanted to watch this anime was for sniper mask. He seemed badass and the EVA for legosi played him so obviously I liked him. And of course I understand that with an English dub of an anime I’m gonna run into some cringe and badly translated lines. But I was not prepared to be fed literally everything that was happening to me by the inner monologues of every single character. There was literally no joke a scene that played out like this “Whoa a mask?”
He’s holding a gun
“Is that an automatic rifle?”
The mask then proceeds to aim
...
at them
“Is he gonna shoot us, if he shoots us with that gun we’ll die!”
He proceeds to shoot them
“Ahhhhhh, we’re getting shot at!”
There was literally inner monologues of people as they were dying which I can only assume was the show trying HORRIBLY to be funny? The amount of times the MC goes from being stupid, to being brave, to being smart, to being badass was horrible. One second she’s saying how they have to beat the death game, and LITERALLY one second later she’s crying saying how this death game is cruel! It literally gave me a headache watching it and as much as sniper mask is cool I can’t watch anymore just for him.

*this review contain spoilers*
I’ll put a * around the category that contains major spoilers.
Ok here goes my 2nd anime review, and it’s of probably my all time favorite anime. I’m gonna go over each category and explain why this anime is by far the best romance anime ever made.
Story-10
I gave story a 10/10 because this really has an amazing story. With all the drama and romance and sadness it really pulls you into its icy cold grasps, every now and again it’ll warm up a little but then it goes right back to being icy and cold. But that doesn’t stop you from just
...
absolutely loving every moment of it.
Art-8
You may be confused as to why I gave art an 8/10 which is still high but I gave everything else a 10 so why is there this lonely 8 we’ll let me explain. This is clannad after story, which is obvious. So to really understand the characters and get to know them you need to watch Clannad. And I got to admit it took me 4 tries until on my 5th try I stuck with it and watched all of it.ill go into more detail in my clannad review but it was basically the art that made it hard for me to watch, so that’s why it’s an 8 even though they did a hell of a good job and now I absolutely love the art.
Sound-10
My god do I love the music and VA in this anime. I watch this is Dub which in my opinion is the better of the 2 version. Nagisa as that adorable high pitched voice that’ll just melt your knees, Tomoya has the gruff kinda distant voice that’lllet you know he’s kinda a delinquent and an outcast. And I just think they did an awesome job on choosing their voices. Then you got the music and if it isn’t some of the best anime music I’ve ever heard. In some of the more sad parts the music is one of the main reasons you’ll shed a tear. Don’t get me wrong it’s still sad but without that good old dango family song some scenes wouldn’t hit nearly as hard as they did. This is one of the few anime where I actually looked up the soundtrack to it not just the op but all of it. And am I just so glad that the composer really understands that he’s trying to make you cry. By playing reaccuring themes to get you to remember the characters and just hitting you right in the feels. And don’t even get me started on that op, it just knows that it’s trying to get you to cry every time you listen to it. It’s like that’s it’s whole purpose.
*Character*-10
Oh boy this is gonna be a long ass section. Usually I want to focus on just the 2 main leads of the anime but I feel like there were a lot of characters I loved in this anime so I’ll go over the ones I liked the most. This includes Tomoya Okazaki, Nagisa Furukawa, akio Furukawa, sanae Furukawa, ushio Okazaki, youhei sunohara, and kyou fujibayashi. I felt that all these characters were really important and I just enjoyed them all. So I’ll start with Tomoya of course. And I’ll go over these characters better I’m my Clannad review(like who they are and stuff like that). I’m this season Tomoya has really lighten up’d he’s smiling more he’s looking at life better and he actually has something to live for(nagisa).
This allows you to get even more character development for Tomoya from going to someone who doesn’t really like people or you know life to a guy who just loves his wife and wants her to be happy. I’ve always enjoyed watching this character grow up and become the man he needs to be for nagisa. Nagisa is next and what can I say for nagisa but she is the ultimate Waifu. She’s adorable and just all around nice. Everything she does she does for the people she loves and she’s just the best, that’s the most I can say about nagisa. But she is pretty weak when it comes to illnesses always getting sick(spoiler heavy section up next skip to where I put end of you don’t want to read this) ******and sadly dying from giving child birth which in my opinion is the saddest character death in any anime if you’ve really gotten to love these characters and watched from the beginning. Nagisa dies and gives birth to the adorable little girl called ushio. She’s a spitting image of her mother and acts like it too. She’s a very well behaved little girl and an all around sweet heart. Even after not really seeing her father for 5 years she still loves him and wants to be with him, god she’s just adorable*****.END Man this is getting really really long and if you’ve kept reading all of This than I’m honestly surprised anyways let’s continue on to the side characters. Akio Furukawa which is nagisa’s father is one of the most likable fathers in anime. He’s still has the mind of a teenager, playing video games, playing baseball and dressing up to see his daughter at work. He honestly reminds me of my father and that probably why I love him so much. Sanae Furukawa is the ideal mother, calm, collected, and super helpful she is what gets Tomoya to open up more and she is one of the best characters of clannad after story just by how much she does for everyone. Youhei sunohara is the best friend of Tomoya and he’s the comic relief of this drama heavy series. He does have a very nice arc in this season though that has to do with sisterly love and it honestly can hit hard because the ending and what he and Tomoya do I loved it and really let me like sunohara as a character more. And let’s not forget the unforgettable moments with Tomoyo In season 1. And last but not least is kyou who is my favorite side character and I got to be honest I kinda ship her and Tomoya. After nagisa of course( spoiler )****** when nagisa is “gone” and Tomoya is alone I was honestly hoping kyou and him would get together they just seem so compatible and I just think she would be perfect for him. Sadly that did not happen and I understand why they didn’t do it but they did give us 1 single episode all about if Tomoya got with her so that’s good.******End.
Enjoyment-10
I’d your still reading props to you I’ll make this last category short. I f$&king loved this anime. There we go nice and short
Overall-10
All in all this anime has some of the best characters in anime and some of the best drama in anime as well. I’m sure even if your not into romance anime you’ve heard of how sad clannad is and how no matter who you are you’ll cry in your invested and it’s all true. I highly recommend this anime to anyone looking for good romance. Be sure to watch clannad first though that’s the most important thing to do because if you don’t you won’t be nearly as attached to he characters.
Phew 2nd actual review down and boy was is a long one if you read all of it congrats to you I hoped I gave you good insight on this amazing anime and I hope you liked my opinions on certain things. I wanted to be more specific on things but during the time of me writing this review it is 3 in the morn and it’s gotten really long so my other reviews will be much better.

*This Review contains spoilers*
When I first went in to Tsuki ga Kirei I have to admit I got about 4 episodes in and dropped it for a solid 3 months. It just wasn’t entertaining enough, but then I came back to it when I was craving some romance and SoL. And I will admit again that even though I enjoyed it and liked it a lot there were times I found myself dozing off. But this time I chugged through my drowsyness and finished it and I got to say it was by far one of the best anime I’ve seen in a long time,
...
just because of the ending.
Story-10
The story is pretty simple, boy meets girl, boy likes girl, girl also likes boy, they start dating. Simple, clean, and nice. They actually start dating pretty early on which is always a plus. After that it’s basically just the simple relationship drama with another girl liking the boy another guy liking the girl. But it’s not a drama heavy series with what drama it does have not really making you scared that they are going to break up or anything like that.
Art-7
The art is lackluster at best, there’s no real moments when you just look at it and think to yourself “wow that is some good art” there’s a few and I mean a few moments when the animation is perfection but like most anime they are rare and short.
Sound-6
I got to be honest I’ve never been that picky with sound unless it was like an old anime with bad sound but this has just the same old same old anime sounds. The voice acting is pretty good in my opinion, the VAs really give the characters their well...... character by being quiet, shy, and not all that outgoing.
Character-9
Oh boy how I loved these characters, Kotarō Azumi is a pretty likable guy. He’s pretty quiet and not the most outgoing guy but he’s interesting. He’s attracted to Akane Mizuno pretty early on and actually becomes texting buddies with her fairly quickly. Which in turn let’s you see one of the best character traits I’ve seen in awhile. When he texts with Akane and he gets super happy or asks a big question he’ll jump up from his bed and start “boxing” his light switch that’s hanging down and I always love that, I find it to be very funny and pretty relatiable to be honest.there is some other characters in there that are kinda interesting like the other love interests but they are not part of my review I am only talking about the 2 main characters.
*Spoiler heavy section*
Enjoyment-10
Like I said above I got bored with this series early on and when I came back I still had some boring spots to watch, but where my overall enjoyment of this series comes from, why I’ve given it an outstanding 10/10 on Mal and why I’m even writing a review about it in the first place is the ENDING. And holy crap is it the BEST ending I’ve ever seen in an anime EVER.IF YOU DONT LIKE SPOILERS STOP READING NOW!!! So this anime’s ending isn’t actually what I’m talking about though I’m talking about the ending CREDITS yah that’s right the end credits. The ending itself is pretty good with the girl going away and the boy chasing after the train a yelling out to her while she reads his text explaining how he loves her so so so much. Which in itself is really good but then the creators of this anime go a step further and during the credits(god save you if you missed em) it shows pictures and the texts they send each other throughout their LIVES!!! Yah their whole lives with them having long distance that actually works(SAY WHAT) and then them getting jobs and moving in together and living together and getting MARRIED and having a KID!!!! It’s honestly adorable and the cutest thing ever. And is totally worth watching all of it just for that. It made me happy cry, I cried so hard watching it but of just pure happiness because they truly love each other soooo much and you see that in the end credits. It’s not only the best ending I’ve ever seen but also the most satisfying ending I’ve ever seen you see what happens to these characters you’ve watched for 12 episodes. And you just feel such happiness for them.
*End spoiler section*
Overall-10
like I said before my most enjoyment came from the end credits. That is why I gave this anime a 10/10 and why im even writing a review about it in the first place. I highly recommend this anime to anyone who’s a fan of romance or SoL. You won’t find a more satisfying or happy anime anywhere else and if you’ve already seen it which I’m guessing most of you have. TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!! You may not have the patience to watch a whole anime just for the ending but its definitely worth it and there’s still plenty of good moments in between that really let you get to love the characters.
Phew wow that was my first full length review on an anime and I think I did pretty good(I hope I did at least) I hope I got some people to watch it and I definitely hope I might’ve changed some people’s minds on what they think about it.

I’m just gonna start off and say I didn’t hate this anime and it’s not as if I wouldn’t try to watch it again or recommend it, it’s just that this is a very adult romance anime with adult themes in play, and to be honest it’s the first I’ve ever watched with such real characters in relationships. I’ve watched a lot of romance anime in my time and it’s usually the norm for the couples to get together in the last episode of a 24 episode season because well it’s anime, and when they do get together earlier they are too embarrassed to even
...
hold hands or hug(with some exceptions to this). So when I started watching this expecting a nice romance with some drama here and there I was finding that this was far from that. The characters while some being a little over “animey” are very real. Teenagers in real life do things all the time I mean they are teenagers for Christ sake. The only reason I’m giving it a low score is for that fact that it’s not my cup of tea. The art and the sound are GREAT! I found myself saying wow and widening my eyes when the art was fantastic. I just can’t get over the characters and their choices for why they are doing what they’re doing. I’m definitely gonna have to retry to watch this later when I’m feeling up to a more adult anime but for now I’m dropping it and giving it a bad score.

I got to say the Art style of this anime really discouraged me from watching it but I’m so glad I did, the art style really starts to grow on you and after a bit of watching you seem to forget that it’s semi 3d, so don’t let that discourage you. What I also found interesting is that fact that this anime spends time early in the characters lives to really let you know how close they are, I loved how it’s starts with them in elementary school and ends with them in highschool. I loved the characters (and am an avid Oono fan), and
...
all the little facts about old style video games really had me imagining how it was to live back in the 90s and the time of arcades. I’m excited for episodes 13-15 to come out and will be waiting patiently for them to.
