Caste Heaven (Manga) add
Preliminary (18/48 chp)
Yaoi is not typically my thing but I do read a few. Caste Heaven I say is unique from Yaoi's I've read before and it is definitely not for the faint heart. It's no sunshine and rainbows but instead twisted, yet it's rather interesting. Before reading the manga, better be sure your mind is ready and open.

STORY >>>The plot isn't perfect, but the concept of the game is rather fresh and intriguing. It's a game that raises an eyebrow but nonetheless interesting since it is linked to the Stanford Experiment. Moreover, it's interesting how the game is exploited by the characters in various ways, some ...

Before watching Kingsglaive, if you've never followed the developments of FFXV I suggest you do a little research first about the characters and the story line. This is a prequel of the game so this is important.

STORY >>> The story, I say is quite good. Of course this doesn't shine away from crystals or the typical final fantasy themes of recent years but this has it's own charms and flair. There are a couple of scenes with cheesy lines (kind of, imo) but can be ignored. And the plot has its surprises.

ART >>> WOW! It's fantastic graphics, and shows how much the FF ...

Surely one of the saddest stories ever is Minekura's Saiyuki Gaiden. Generally, it's a little comical, then there's the balanced amount of action and of course, drama.

Story and characters -- I have watched all three Saiyuki series (the animation), then finally read Gaiden (when I saw the anime trailer). The trilogy showed shadows of their past and reading the Gaiden is a very satisfying experience/ explanation how things turned out to be in the trilogy.

The relationship and friendships of the characters is one of the themes of the story and I say, Nataku and Goku's is probably the most gut-wrenching (That's all I'll ...

.hack//Sign (Anime) add
Okay, so before anything else, the plot for this one is not perfect but I gave it an 8 because its the first anime I know that featured characters interacting in an online game that may have inspired other similar works.

The art is certainly not as colorful as the recent ones and the colors maybe a little dull for most, but since it's me who is writing this review, the art is good enough considering that this is an older animation.

The OSTs of this show however, are some of the best I've heard to date and are no doubt very memorable. :)

The heart of ...

Hikaru no Go (Anime) add
Another sport (or game?) that I have recently completed. It's a fresh and entertaining sports overall, but there are some points when it gets annoying like the obsession of "the" rival (reminds me of Naruto seemingly forever chasing Sasuke).

Other than that, the character development of the main protagonist, Hikaru, is slow but steady as he tries to find his own style of playing and not to heavily rely on his ghostly friend, Sai. While Hikaru has an interesting twists and turns in his life, I gotta say his rival doesn't get as much development but his growing obsession, to the point that its annoying. ...

Haikyuu!! (Anime) add
Haikyuu! Okay so I'll say this is a unique anime for me simply because this is the very first volleyball anime I have watched (and I don't know of any other).

I say the art of this series is very good and the tracks are also amazing and spot on with the scenes. The characters are likable, though there are just four that stood out for me.

I generally enjoyed this one but I just don't feel the same amount of "hype" in games that I felt for other sports anime's and there were rare times when I had forced myself to finish watching a ...

Angel Beats! (Anime) add
Angel Beats is a short series but its one of the best I have seen. The premise of the story is not unique but the plot twist make it different, interesting and engaging enough for me. Also, the series present a very strong female lead (which is a huge plus).

The sound tracks from OP to ED are just awesome, adding to the feels of the anime. While some of the characters aren't as round as the others, they are interesting and aren't just there for the sake of being there. A few things also aren't explained well but nonetheless can just be overlooked.

Overall, ...

Preliminary (42/51 eps)
S2 of Diamond no Ace isn't complete yet but I feel like I have watched enough to write a review. Generally, its as good and entertaining as S1. :)

The S1 cast remain intact but are joined by new teams and also new faces. In S2, some character developments are now more obvious than others, while the rest continue to develop slowly. Again, don't get frustrated here (especially with the main protagonist and some people surrounding him) because this is a more realistic anime and imo, the development of the characters steadily depend on their "persona" and their "experiences" ( I hope you get my point ...

While I am not a huge baseball fan, and was actually a little skeptical at first, Diamond no Ace turns out to be one of the most interesting sports anime I've watched.

The story begins slow paced but steady and the hype eventually builds up. What I love the most in this series is that it leans more on the realistic side, rather than being too exaggerated or the supernatural. The games are also really interesting and entertaining to watch, and most of the time the outcome is unpredictable.

I also liked the fact that the series showcases various "aces" / pitchers (and not ...

Free! (Anime) add
First of all, this series isn't "gay" as others might think or as it appears to be. Second, this is a swimming anime hence, the guys here are on their "swimsuits" 80% of the time. Third, this series is about bonds of friendship.

Art: Though I don't give particular attention to the "art" of any animation, I gotta say for the sake of this review that the art in this anime is surely beautiful. The characters, scenery's and even the water are well drawn with colors that pop and thus is visually appealing.

Sound: One of the elements that give life to any animation imo is ...
