Thoughts on Fate/Apocrypha. Episodes seen : 14, Will update when the series gets over.
Trying to type this as spoiler free as possible XD
I am a big fan of Fate/ series and about Apocrypha, i have this to say : It could have been a bit better.
Story-wise this series got the best potential to shine. And the story is good too. But i feel the plot should be more darker like Fate/Zero. The characters are not that intense as in Fate/Zero so its more like on my do to list every "Monday" instead of "must do". Character involvement is also a bit less here. Apocrypha has

Kuzu no Honkai is strictly an anime for grownups.
KnH really stands out cuz it involves relationships with many people instead of the classic 2 people or couples. Each character plays an important role in the story build up n Lerche has shown it in an amazing way. The art is really good. it feels original and the close up frames they do really shows what the characters are feeling in an intimate way.The intimate scenes are on the spot and really draws u into it as u watch them. the sound is also good and syncs well. the pace of the story is ...

Shiki is a slow anime, bear this in mind first.
How slow? the starting 8 episodes u just have to shut up watch. its that slow. But after that the story picks up and is really good. How good? remember Game of Thrones? the one in which u slogged almost till the part where Ned Stark dies and then u were all like OMG!!! ? Shiki is like that. but it's not bad n slow till the end, just the first 8 episodes. Even then the story is a little slow. But this is one of the anime which really stays true to its genre of ...

Just a 1 time watch.
Dont expect too much from this series. u r way better watching 'Kaichowa maid sama' or 'toradora'. this is too stereotypical n kinda bores u with the same stuff. A romantic relation should develop as a series progresses but that's completely lacking here. after watching a few episodes, u kinda get bored seeing hikari's acting. so move on to some other anime if u can. The only god thing in this anime that i can say was the characters. all their story was what kept me pushing to finish off this anime. the humor level is ok though. if it was crappy, ... |
