Welcome to a "The wizard of Oz" not targeted at kids, but teens, that slapped the tag comedy on itself and is holding onto it for dear life, because there is nothing here besides a below average setting, below average characters, below average action, and "comedy" that stops being funny after ep 2 due to how forced and predictable it is.
We've got 4 main characters. Each of them has 1 trait. The main characters are the most unilinear, least thought-out background characters of any good series if their author had snorted a mile and thought of putting them in before dying of OD.
The MC is
...
one of those that actually make the anime worse, due to how cringy their lack of substance is. (like Yuuki from Mirai Nikki)
Over the course of 6 years, I tried watching this sh!t 3 times. I never got past episode 4.
If you don't laugh at your own finger if you point it at yourself, and are above 14, there is no way you are going to prefer watching this to doing anything else, from reading a book to going out and picking up the garbage in your neighborhood.

So I picked this up after being persuaded by reddit, and that is the first red flag.
I decided to give it a chance, and watch a few episodes, but it honestly does NOT get progressively better.
If you are into absolutely sh!thead mc's (no action he takes is ever thought-out, at MOST it's due to strong emotions) that barely evolve, sparse, low-hanging, forced humour, 15 year olds that look like they should have finished uni at least 5 years prior to the scenes they are in and a world where policemen are just information brokers, well this is the anime for you.
The only other reason I
...
can think of for liking this is if you are in the mc's situation; an uneducated virgin 26 year-old with no friends, and you imagine how cool it would be for this to happen to you.
The pacing is decent, but every "plot twist" early on is predictable. (Early on meaning up till episode 6, because that's how long I held onto hope before dropping this over-hyped disappointment of a show)
The only thing this anime did well is the female character for which the whole action takes place, and the wholesome close highschool-buddy moments. The anime does remind you of how nice some parts of a highschool life were.
Conclusion?
Waifu of the year? Maybe
Anime of the year? If there were no other series that came out this year, yeah, you could say so.
It's honestly a 4/10 if I were to rate it fairly. I can't give it a 1, because I could still watch it if someone held a gun to my head, but I see people giving it 10 so i have to lower the average so others know what they get themselves into when starting this.

Redo of healer is certainly in the top 5 best isekai shows. In a world of repetitive, predictable hero anime's, we finally get a protagonist that is human. Completely, filled with negative emotions and feelings, as disgustingly human is it gets.
After being tortured and abused for years on end, he doesn't just "forgive his enemy, because he is morally superior" or any idealistic bullshit like that(so implicitly, given that this isn't your typical male antagonist, happy ideal hero bollocks, this show is not for crybabies). This guy makes a plan and commits. And boy the things he commits in order to get what he wants!
Yes,
...
he seems extremely overpowered at the start, but if you took the time to consider what it takes to use his power, you would find the philosophy of how he has to throw away his humanity in order to gain power (because, you know, you can't stay sane after living through every feeling a person had since losing their legs up until they were fully recovered in an instant) and therefore the price he has to pay balances out his power.
If you actually pay attention to the show and read a tiny bit into it, you realize the MC kind of has the post-torture Kaneki vibes;
COMPARISON [CONTAINS SPOILER, skip paragraph if you don't want to know them] - fingers scene (healer) with Kaneki leg spin kick (Tokyo ghoul) - Kaneki's leg is completely stuck in the grasp of Yakuto. What does he do? he spins around, making a mush out of his bones, and kicks the guy with his other leg, sending him flying. "Do you think after all i've been through, this much hurts?" Asks Kaneki.
Healer boi breaks each of Ms. Inhuman Scum one by one, and at the last one he heals them up, feeling the pain of those 9 fingers breaking himself. Same thinking - after 4 and a half years of daily torture, having 9 fingers broken is not enough to even make him flinch.
[END OF SPOILER]
I like how every one of the ignorant brats that rate this anime a 1 only talk about the rape, like it's the worst thing that happened. Idk about u, but I'd gladly take a 10-inch schlong instead of having my hands/legs cut off, eyes gouged out etc. every day of the week. What Hero boi does to Ms. Inhuman scum is the least he could do, it barely scratches the surface. I thought of worse things to do to my teacher when she'd complain about my homework in 6th grade.
Note, this anime scores bonus points on my list for the balls it has for showing everything that it does. It is a breath of fresh air in a world of *punch/talk to bad guy, take him to prison, smile at photo/memory of people bad guy has killed. Realize he was not the baddest of the guys. Repeat*
Conclusion: This show is mainly good, save for the things that have to do with budget. Don't expect anything like Saber's fight scenes in Unlimited Blade Works, or happy, kid content (like say, Naruto talk no jutsu, Shield Hero forgiveness) and you will be fairly happy with what you get.
