I always wanted to watch the 90's version, but was only able to find one or two episodes, so I was really pleased to see when this one came out. By episode 30 or 40 I was kind of not caring much for it because it was having a slow pacing, but as the episodes were getting released, the show has got more of my attention with every episode. These final episodes are being a complete masterpiece in my opinion (even though I accidentally read some spoilers); I'm kind of frustrated because I hardly see anyone mentioning it. After the fiasco in the reboot of Adventure, I thought they would get it right this time, and the story in the first few episodes was giving me the hopes for it. However, the show is again stuck in basically a slice-of-life plot and the story doesn't progress at all. Almost every episode has a plot that starts and ends in itself (which is OK for a simple kids show), and almost all of them have the same formula of all being just a misunderstanding in the end.
It's nice that they show some new Digimon and evolutions and all, but I can't avoid comparing it ... |
