The first half of Ergo Proxy was impeccable, especially regarding character development. Pino is absolutely adorable and serves to blur the line between human and machine. Vincent's attempts to find out what he is juxtaposes beautifully with Re-L's attempts to find out the nature of where she had lived her entire life.
However, alarm bells first went off when exposition was provided in the most asinine manner possible. The worst part is that particular episode, believe it or not, was CANNON.
