Even though I think this movie was unnecessary, as I think the original ending is unapologetic, this is the perfect counterpart to whats going on physically in the end of the world. Anime is the perfect vehicle for art,I think the most sublime are those animes that dance on the soul's music, and Evangelion does that perfectly.
