Angel beats is nothing out of the ordinary. Its not bad, but not great either.
Its a "middle on the tree" eyecandy to be more precise.
The artwork and backgrounds is great but most of the greatness ends there.
There are few characters that are fun to watch and most are very generic, but those that are usually fun makes you laugh again and again. Or atleast smirk.
It does have moments of hillarity, it does have moments of sadness but you stop careing about most of the characters halfway in the series and that is the big problem of this anime.

This anime was a mixed bag for me personaly and i will tell why short and easy.
The art, backgrounds and most of the characters are great fun, but. The story is dull and the development for the main character Haruhi is poor to none. Ive never seen such a boring character before. She rarely show anny emotion and is neutral too pretty much everything happening around her. What keeps you watching is the other main characters cause they are great fun to watch, specialy the twins and Tamaki.

What can one say about this anime?
Well i can say that i really like the main goal of the serie.That a group of 4 "handsome" guys are given the task to turn a hidden unkept woman into a real lady. But the story drops that really fast as the guys seem to give up trying after a couple eps and usually just accept her odd behavior. Its heartwarming that they do but the main goal was to turn her into a lady.
