Sword Art Online immediately impressed me at first sight. Anyone who have at least once played a MMORPG would definitely love the concept. I mean, who wouldn't? It would be a lie to say that you never wanted to be in a video game before... or at least thought about it.
Unfortunately, the impression shattered like a wine glass fell to the floor after episode 3. What a buzzkill that was...
To avoid spoilers, I will not go into details. I shall proceed to the review:
Story 6/10
Despite having a brilliant premise of being stuck in a virtual world, the story isn't all that great. The Aincrad arc
...
progressed too fast in my opinion. There's 100 floors dammit! Let us enjoy the surroundings a bit.
The thing that ticked me off the most is the storytelling. For some reason, I felt like the author just threw me around Aincrad and Kirito was just there (somehow...). Then some events unfolded (mostly drama) and awesome BGM tell you what to feel. I honestly didn't like that.
The story got a little bit better during the Alfheim arc, just a bit.
This story lacks goal in my opinion. It just can't compete compared to becoming a Hokage, Pirate King or Shinigami related stuffs... Then again, this is my thoughts on the story.
Art 8/10
The art is good to my eyes. No complaints whatsoever.
Sound 9/10
I think the VA did one hell of a job portraying the characters. Plus, the BGM is awesome as well as the OP/ED songs. But, I am an audiophile...
Characters 5/10
The characters are way too normal except for Asuna and Kirito, which is way too superior compared to everyone else. It felt like reading a Mary Stu/ Gary Stu fanfiction but I just can't flame it... The protagonist didn't undergo much adversity at all!! Kirito is just - fortunately - too awesome because he was a beta player. On the top of my head, I can't recall a single moment when Kirito lost in a fight... he wins all the way.
Asuna was apparently Kirito waifu for some reason... (yeah right!)
Compared to all the other female characters, she's the most beautiful, strongest, fastest, of all.
Enjoyment 6/10
Meh...
Overall 6/10
It's fair enough to count as an anime. Not a good one though...
It's overly-hyped.

Support,
Kindness,
Encouragement,
Troubleshoot.
This anime revolves around those four points. In short, it's an anime about a club which help anyone and everyone regardless how big/disturbing/annoying the request is.
First of all, I read somewhere that this show is somehow derived from Gintama. I can't say anything about that because I've never seen Gintama. I didn't feel like catching up with hundreds of episodes...
Let's get back to Sket Dance shall we?
...
Story - 10/10
This is arguably bias among fans. One might say it barely have any plots, while the other is vice versa. Anyway, IMO Sket Dance do have a plot and an interesting way of telling a story.
They use a lot of 'requests' from the other students to flesh out the main characters. So one will get to know the protagonists traits and characters as they kept watching.
The most interesting thing is... some 'request' trigger a flashback on one of the main trio. Needless to say, these flashbacks is heartbreaking/ tear-jerking/ dramatic/ important to the story. They slowly explain how SKET DAN came to be... By the end you would understand why there is a SKET DAN in the first place.
See that? By the end, they explain how it begins... How could that not be interesting??
No, the story is not mainly about the past. The present itself feature itself with a lot of relationships issues. I will spoil nothing.
Art - 10/10
In my eyes, the graphics were beautifully done with intricate details.
Sound - 10/10
This may be bias coming from an audiophile, I love almost all animes OST and VA. All of the animes I've seen have great sound and Sket Dance is no exception.
The VAs are really good too! I could feel the emotions portrayed.
Characters - 10/10
The characters in Sket Dance plays a VERY IMPORTANT role to the story. I think it's the way they relate the characters that made this anime really alive. Each characters have their special personality which come with a ridiculous idiosyncrasies. The main character, Bossun himself has the biggest flaw of all. Don't get me wrong, these flaws are the reason this show is so good. I won't tell what is it...
Enjoyment - 8/10
I couldn't give a full score to avoid being to biased. One might say the repetitive pattern of request becomes dull throughout the series while some says the otherwise. IMO, I enjoyed all the episodes. Oh! Another thing is Sket Dance tends to break the fourth wall a lot with a certain character. This can only lead to two things: you find it funny or you find it disturbing.
Overall, Sket Dance is definitely worth watching regardless what genre you like. It's a well-rounded anime which mix the genre with deft writing and planning. I'm hoping they animate more episodes from the manga because there's much more to be told!

"Jokes are to be made on the spot, so too misunderstanding to be dispelled right away"
I think there's some misunderstanding about Hyouka's plot. It's not your average flashy anime for sure, I assure you. To say there's no plot would be unfair to the creator because there's one in fact. To avoid spoilers, I won't mention the plot; the hint is the characters themselves. Then again, this is my opinion.
Story - 9/10
It's not flashy as I said before but there's a subtle advancement of characters. Relationships were strengthen, bonds were connected and the characters developed. A hint, after you finish watching all the episodes... compare
...
Oreki Ep22 and Oreki Ep1. There's a huge difference.
Enough with the characters... now to the story. I pretty much enjoyed all the 'mysteries' the author had written. It got my head spinning at times. You'll start to predict the answers along with the characters themselves at some point of the anime. Admittedly, I only managed to guess a few of the episodes right...
In short, people who SOLELY like action animes like Naruto and Bleach probably won't enjoy this as much.
Art - 10/10
Kyoto Animation really nailed this! The graphic is superb IMO. No complaints whatsoever.
Sound - 10/10
I freaking love the soundtrack! I think it's one of the aspect that sets the mood of the anime. I'm trying to find it though...
Another reason that drawn me to this anime was the VA. I love Satou Satomi voice acting in K-on! so in Hyouka. She managed to flesh the character perfectly. Not to mention the 1st ED song was so good!!
Characters - 10/10
The characters is the key to any story no matter what. In Hyouka, the characters is really life-like and believable. The best thing is their correlations! Each character complement the other's.
Enjoyment - 9/10
I can't give a full score because I found myself yawning a lot in one episode...
Overall, Hyouka is a generally nice anime in my opinion. There's a storyline divided with a few arcs throughout the anime along with interesting knowledge. You might learn something from watching this anime...
p.s. This is my first review. I don't really know how to write one so I blatantly followed the guidelines.
