Both are hilarious to watch and have similar character designs. Animation is roughly the same quality as well.

Both are slice-of-life, and both are done well. Where Azumanga Daioh is better in characters, Nichijou is better in complete insanity and animation.

Both have a interesting enough premise; both have action that varies from mediocre to pretty good; both have stereotypical characters with at LEAST one standout female fanservice character and both have, in my opinion, quite sh*t endings. Well, from a satisfying perspective at least.

(switch the two anime around) Both are animated by Brains Base, both have well executed fights and the English dubs, while I personally am a sub person are great, and in Baccano's case, is even better than the sub. They also both have a colourful cast of characters. Watch Baccano if you want to watch something a little more gory, and unlike Durarara, it is condensed in a 13 episode series (16 if you count the specials); both of these are among my favourites.

(switch the two anime around) Despite the obvious similarities of both being sports anime and have manservice, both have solid stories, that while cliché, are entertaining and great to watch. Kuroko has a more stronger cast of colourful characters and while they both have good animation, Kuroko is done by Production IG which makes the matches all the more better.

Fate/Zero

(switch the two anime around) Both are related to Type Moon, both are animated by ufotable, and both are scored by the one and only Yuki Kajiura (the music she did in Kara no Kyoukai is some of her best work). Both have great to amazing fights, and while Kara no Kyoukai has a slow start similar to Fate Zero, it will be really be worth it in the end.

Both have emotional stories and while at first, they both have unrelatable characters turn out to be really good and highly memorable. Both will have tear-jerking moments. This may be a controversial comment, but I cried more for Anohana, and unlike the Clannad series where you have to go through 44 episodes, Anohana only takes 11, so it is at least worth the watch.
