A main character who believes himself to be average among humans, but is actually borderline monster... A supporting character who is much more skilled than the main with powers that exceed what is expected of her age... A power, ability or form that one must be able to control at all times to be able to live as a normal human... Both Tokyo Ghoul and Shingeki no Kyojin have elements that are similar to one another.

Fairy Tail

Hot-headed, fiercely protective, always wanting to throw down in a battle of skill... Remind you of someone? Naruto Uzumaki? But also, Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail. Both characters are in search of something. For Naruto it's a place in the village, for Natsu, it's his adoptive father the dragon, Igneel. I believe that both animes are quite alike and with similar supporting characters (Sakura from Naruto and Lucy from Fairy tail), although the story isn't alike, both are about taking risks for friends and protecting the ones you love, while fighting for what is right.

Looking for another story about a hot-headed protagonist, who also happens to be short, blonde and an orphan? Look no further than Edward Elric and the anime series's Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood. Unlike Naruto who is searching for his place in his village, Ed is searching for something else, but both characters fight through the hardest of times to get what they're looking for.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

'Code Geass' and 'Death Note' are both what I refer to as strategist's animes. They both include an individual, very smart for their age, as the main protagonist. They both appear to be good, but with an evil side to them, and this is why these animes are both impressive. I found that both animes had me guessing the strategies and plans that the characters had put up, trying to get past them, but failing miserably, due to the gargantuan plot twists. Both animes have an art style that I love, and develop each character very well. I would wholeheartedly recommend both animes and the sequel to 'Code Geass', which takes off at a seemingly impossible point.

'Durarara!!' is what I first thought of when I watched 'K'. There are a few similar characters, whether it be personality wise, or appearance. A second thing, is that 'K' is about what I'd think of as gangs although in the anime they are referred to as 'clans'. Both animes had a similar feel, although 'K' had a lot more to the 'super-powers' side of it than 'Durarara!!' I would recommend 'K' as although it is short, it has an extremely well developed storyline and heart-wrenching end, and the animations are very well done. I would also recommend 'Durarara!!' as it is one of the best animes I have come across, with flawless animation, and some of the best characters I have ever found in an anime.
