Story - The Sequel to the famed Season 1 Of Code Geass does just as good as it's predecessor if not even better. Hooking you in every moment of the way with a new Dilemma arising at the end of every episode. I mean c'mon who doesn't love cliffhangers! The story starts of a year after the events of season one with Lelouch having no memory whatsoever of ''Zero'' Living an ordinary life but unknowingly being watched by the Britannia government
But by the end of episode 1 we get the Lelouch we love The Miracle maker who's prepared to do whatsoever to achieve his goal
...
of world domination.
I found myself more pulled in to season 2 then season 1 as they add many more dynamics to it such as new characters with motivations always changing as the story progresses and Situations where you start to think ''oh s**t How's he gonna get out of this'' But also Surprising deaths that even got myself tearing up a bit. But the glory of this miracle Anime Is towards the final 7-8 Episodes Where S**t Really goes down and you find yourself in awe with events such as the meaning of what Geass And C's Really is! As for the Ending Which I just finished today, I have to say hands down I did not expect it to make me feel so much emotion for certain characters And Is Definitely in my Opinion The ''Greatest anime Ending of all time''
Art- While I'm not the biggest fan of the art it does have some sort of merit to it which cannot be changed and you wouldn't want it to be changed because it wouldn't be Code Geass Without The Specifically Character Designed Stick-man. But as for the Mecha Battles I Have too say the animation had me pulled in with the Awesome Battles Between these Awesome Mech Robots with each battle got you rooting for a different Mech! Don't be fooled the animation is beautiful with vibrant colors and beautiful backgrounds to match...But I guess I'm more of a fan of the 2014 and so on Animation But I do Give it a Princiefied Thumbs up to the standards during those times.
Sound - The Soundtrack goes so well with the scenes and gives liveliness to each scene. While I'm not biggest fan of soundtracks during anime and I don't really listen out to the Ost's Playing in the back As Long as it gives the right feeling to the scene I'm watching then your doing something right In this case Code Geass did. As for the Ost ''Stories'' When It played during Certain Scenes It fits perfect and gave me chills everywhere. If only they played it more.
Character - I have absolute no problem here as I love to get involved with the characters of a deep compelling story and I'm sure most of us do! And Code Geass does this perfect as it gives each and every character if not there moment to shine there Progression as a character and motives that even we can relate to. Such as Lelouch having such a deep Inventive personality never before seen on any anime out there shouldering the power to take on the world you really do feel for the struggles he faces on the journey to world domination and the character development he goes through but the whole cast goes through. A comparison I would like to make Is ''Light From Death note To Lelouch'' Light being a sociopathic man which I personally loved to an even Crazier man hellbent on becoming god of the world. Whilst Lelouch is in a sense similar. He really just meant good for the world. Even if he had done the things he had done he had his reasons and it was the only way to Achieve World peace so he shouldered that on himself to take war on and banish It from the world Of Geass. That alone makes him one of the greatest Main protagonist/antagonist in all of anime history. As For Nina She's just ''annoying'' Well Hell I guess even by the end you feel somewhat sympathy for her....ah Hell no she's annoying.
Enjoyment - After watching Season 1 Of Geass I was so excited to get onto Season 2 But I Never imagined myself Finishing it within the time span of two days...which took a few brain cells away from me But I don't regret It one bit and would watch the Dub All over again just for the sheer enjoyment of it. I found myself episode after episode wanting to find out what's going to happen next...Not many Anime out there do this but I guess Geass is just one of them Special ones You just have to love.
Overall - Code Geass Has to be one of my Favorite Anime of all time Season 1 Included The series makes you feel for the world as we can compare our world with The Brittanian World, and there Onslaught of the Japanese Makes you really Detest the Britannia Empire and the system They have put up Which makes it similar to our world. With things such as poverty and war and even ''God'' But Hell I do have to say it's been a one ride I've been on It's shame It's ended and I Can't re-erase my memory and watch the whole thing again Haha. But If your an Anime Viewer and still haven't seen Code Geass I Recommend you go watch it as soon as possible At least to the third episode to when it starts picking up. Hands down One of the Greatest anime out there as for now....''All Hail Emperor Lelouch''
