Both have a similar sense of adventure, and explore a well built world full of fleshed out characters with their own flaws and personalities. Both have an unique artstyle, even though they're very different from each other. Both deal with darker themes than you'd think when looking simply on the art. Personally I think both have amazing artstyle and animation, and both features very memorable and wonderful soundtracks.
