I want to start off by saying this is a good show. At the time of my writing there is still one episode left but i highly doubt it will salvage my one glaring issue with the series. before going into spoiler territory here, i just want to summarise my issue with giving anyone who intends to watch this show a glaring CSA and Pedophilia trigger warning.

SPOILERS:
the story incorporates two plotlines involving adults inapropriately interacting with children. Hongo and milo-sensai aswell as sugawara and her former acting teacher. both of these plotlines are , in my opinion, handled very poorly. lets start with milo sensei. ... milo sensei, in his whole storyline of hongo trying to get him to sleep with her, is shown as just being strung along, helpless to actually stop her advances and at some parts complient. that is blatantly false. from the very start what milo sensei should have done is report that an underage girl is catfishing older men trying to gain sexual experience and needs help, but he doesnt do this. instead he keeps the situation going and escalating for his own sense of self assumably. for his ego. he claims over and over again to not be attracted to highschool girls but then why does he keep it going? Painting hongo the LITERAL CHILD in this situation as the bad guy is blatantly wrong and also comes across as victim blaming. I have seen this kind of situation myself and trust me it always ends up with the teacher in jail and the kid in therapy and later completely regretful and resentful of what happened and the abuse they've suffered from someone older. hell, as someone who myself was raped by someone older than me who was supposed to be taking care of me at the time the way this anime tackles this subject makes me sick.

there is less to say about sugawara and her acting teacher, but it still needs to be adressed. This plotline is handled a bit better, but still not very well in my opinion. characters reaction to him being a pedophile a surface level shocked and not more. izumi even telling sugawara hell help her pursue him. his character in total makes me sick and while having sugawara kick him in the face was very satisfying, it does not resolve the amount of handwaving the show does towards this pedophilic character.

all in all i think, without those aspects this show could have truly been something great but as it is i would not recommend it to anyone.
