This might just be the best teacher-student relationship anime i've ever watched.I can hardly find the words to express my overflowing emotions at this moment. " A great teacher , opens the mind and touches the heart of the students" , as a student myself , never have i been able to find such dedication in a teacher , the one who puts his all to connect with his students on a personal level, one who brings out the potential which lies deeply within the student , one who resolves conflict and delivers endless encouragement. That is Koro-Sensei. I'll be writing an overall review for

the 2 seasons since i assume it only make sense for those to watch the 2nd season after the first.
Story: 10
A bunch of misfit students gets streamed into a class . specifically " E class" , through the woods and bumpy hills , situated far away from the original campus , the students are discriminated in every way possible and are forced to endure their agonising school life through harsh and dilapidated environments. These students are however tasked with rather unorthodox job, by the government , of killing a yellow , slimy octopus with a scholars cap, whom it's super speed match that of mach 20, and will blow the world in a year's time. little did they know , that "monster" turned out to be their homeroom teacher. Whoah ,now that's
not what you see everyday. And from there, everyday adventures and life take it from there. Sci-Fi , Romance , Comedy . name it all , albeit Assassination classroom is themed with cliche genres . the premise however takes a stab to it , and added spice of originality to it. Despite it's contradictory title , the main attraction of the series is actually its comedy , executed at precise times and unexpected moments with essence of freshness with minimal blood and gore which is to be expected from "assassination " type themes. Koro-Sensei's variety of expressions are rather amusing and hilarious which i find it always quite delightful and appealing to watch. This series crafts a "slice-of-life" mood as the story pointing randomly at different directions at time , whereby students are taken to places they've never explored beyond the school. Once again, i would like to emphasise the originality of the plot and for
that , a 10 is very well deserved .
Art: 9
I prioritise graphics a lot , it's one of the factors that make plays a decisive role in whether i drop and anime or not. The characters and scenery are outlined by dark and bold black lines which sets a rather pronounced contrast to the bright light and colourful gradient inside the outlines , very much like the art in "Attack of Titan" but more distinct in the shading. The animation is fluid with smooth frame rates , like like Koro-Sensei's wiggly tentacles. The art its able to fit with its current situation , making characters look eerie/hideous and scary during dark moments , or setting a mist of monotonous yellow/beach-ish colour when reminisicing the past. but since I benchmarked the art of notable Anime such as Steins Gate or Kotonoha no Niwa to this , i'll have to limit it to 9 points.
Sound : 7
I absolutely loved the ending , the build-up is so intense and sentimental that my overflowing emotions erupted at the climax point , makes my hair stand up and goosebumps everywhere as i think about all that they have gone through, the fun they had and the adventures and journeys they ventured. The OSTs were fitted perfectly , flowing smoothly with every scene. Unfortunately, i did not find it's opening to my appeal except for it's over-enthusiastic signature dance that was repetitive throughout.
Characterisation : 9
The premise is exceptionally good at characterising as it brings out the inner personality , monologue and the past for most characters . Especially Nagisa , Koro-Sensei the principal and so on. It manifested the dark/ conflicted past which becomes the reason for the behaviour of specific characters while successfully displaying the weakness and strength of every individual. Each one has a distinct trait of its own and made each individual stand out. Assassination classroom focuses heavily on the characters and does a decent job with it.
Enjoyment :9
It made me laugh so hard , made my tears flow( It doesn't happen to me often) , sympathise with the protagonist and sometimes the antagonist , or even want to give the character a good punch in the face. I really enjoyed this show , it made me feel like i was part of the class. I could relate and connect with each and every characters , it has definitely been a wonderful journey , and will become an anime i would still enjoy watching even after years. It left me a sense of nostalgia of my primary school days and a post anime depression syndrome which i am trying hard to cope with right now . Thanks for the emptiness , for that , i had one point deducted ;)
Overall:9
As ludicrous as the synopsis may seem , i used to think that this anime could be one of those typical stereotypical cliched themed classroom , and was wrong to judge it . Its has definitely made it to my top 10 best anime list and strongly recommend it .influenced the way I will live and think for the rest of my life . It legitimately moved me to make certain decisions, for better or for worse , as In that sense, no other anime can compare, as no other anime has provided an equivalent reaction on my part. Now then , would you embark on a feels trip ? :)
