One Piss is hands down one of the most childish and badly written Shounen I've come across. There is absolutely nothing interesting about One Piss. It fails at literally everthing it tries to attempt. These are the reasons why One Piss is trash.
STORY: 0/10
One Piss is about a trash character called "Luffy" that wants to become the pirate king. He gathers a crew of even more awful characters that also have dreams of their own. Almost all of these characters are one dimensional and do absolutely nothing to accomplish their goals. Nami wants to draw a map of the world, yet there isn't a single
...
scene in the manga showing her draw anything. Usopp wants to be a brave warrior, yet after 800+ episodes he's still a coward. Sanji wants to find All Blue, he does absolutely nothing to accomplish his dream. Luffy wants to become pirate king yet there are so many filler arcs that have absolutely nothing to do with this.
Here are some examples of arcs that have absolutely nothing to do with the story: Alabasta, Skypiea, Thriller Bark, Drum Kingdom, etc. None of these arcs have anything to do with Luffy becoming the pirate king, yet they each are at least 40 chapters. Even the arcs that are actually relevant are awful. Dressrosa is one of the most poorly written Shounen arcs I've come across. 120 episodes of one arc, bad characters that get too much screen time, generic villain with a generic back story, terrible animation, slow pacing, etc. It cant get any worse than that. For some reason Oda isn't capable of making a story arc that isn't extremely long anymore. He says that he isn't going to make long arcs after dressrosa, yet he makes even more bad arcs that are too long.
One Piss arcs are essentially the same thing every single time. The plot is very formulaic. They go to an island and make friends, beat up the bad guys that are oppressing the country, new cremember (sometimes), feast, and then repeat. I mean it continues this bullshit over and over again for over 800 episodes. It already starts to get boring during the Skypiea arc, I'm surprised I could actually tolerate the rest of this trash.
One Piss has some of the worst fights I've seen in Shounen. It's actually hilarious how One Piss fans criticize other Shounen like Fairy Tail because of "friendship powerups". One Piece does the exact same thing. Every single fight is won by Luffy's sheer willpower, not because he actually outsmarted his opponent. Every One Piss fight is the same exact thing: Luffy tanks evey hit, villain tanks every hit, but then somehow the villain loses because he isn't as durable as Luffy. This is why One Piece fights are extremely boring. It always just ends in asspulls/plot armor. Luffy has won many fights that he shouldn't have won, especially his battle against Katakuri. Katakuri injures himself because a random character interfered in their fight. If you cant see how much a contrived plot device that is, then I don't know what to tell you.
One thing One Piece fans praise about this series is how good the world building is. In my opinion, it doesn't mean SHIT if One Piece has good world building. Why should I care about how detailed Oda made the world of One Piece when the crew is just stuck on one island for 100 chapters? The world building is irrelevant if we barely even get to see the rest of the world, besides the Island they spend 200 chapters on. For fucks sake they've only been on 5 for over 300 episodes.
CHARACTERS: 0/10
There are rarely any interesting characters in One Piss For the most part, all of the main characters are poorly written. They just get their sad and generic backstories and then they never get character development again. A perfect example of this would be Nami. Sad backstory, then gets no development for the rest of the series. Usopp is another example. After 800 episodes, Usopp still is acting like a coward. 800 episodes and yet he still didn't develop whatsoever.
I used to like Sanji until post time skip One Piss completely ruined him. He hasn't had any shine in post timeskip. He loses every damn fight, and he wasn't even in the most important arc of the timeskip. Then Oda makes an arc all for Sanji, which ended up being absolute trash. He just gets a generic sad backstory, doesn't actually change as a character, and then he still gets no shine whatsoever. No one should ever compare this trash character to Zoro.
Speaking about Zoro, he's the only straw hat that actually developed as a character.
Luffy is hands down the worst Shounen protagonist of all time. Luffy has no character development. None whatsoever. He has no internal characterization at all. None. Any chance he had at character development was ruined because he just ends up going back to how he previously was. If an anime/manga is over 800 chapters/episodes long and the main character doesn't have the abiltiy to reflect on his actions, then that's an absolute problem for the story. To be honest, there's nothing interesting about Luffy. He's just the basic Shounen protagonist that we always see in any Shounen.
There are no good villains in One Piece. The only villain I enjoyed is Crocodile, yet he's just a generic villain anyways. Besides him, every other villain is bad. There are no complex villains in One Piece. None whatsoever!
ANIMATION/ART: 0/10
Do I even need to explain this? One Piece has the WORST animation I've ever seen in ANY anime. I'm pretty sure everyone can agree with this. I've never seen a Shounen with worse artstyle than One Piece. The characters look extremely ugly too, especially in the Whole Cake Island arc. I don't know why Oda loves drawing ugly ass characters.
ENJOYMENT: 1/10
How can I possibly enjoy an anime that has bad characters and a bad plot? The truth is, I cant. It was at least decent until Oda completely destroyed his manga. The only reason I gave it a 1 is because of Zoro

Not only is this the worst Gundam anime, it's one of the worst anime of all time. In this review I'll be talking about both seasons. There will be some spoilers. Im going to have to include some of them to truly prove how terrible this anime is.
So the very first reason why this anime is terrible, the characters. The only character I actually enjoyed was McGillis Fareed. I will say that he was an enjoyable character to watch since he was so mysterious. Other than that, all of the other charactets are bad. Since the moment I started this I knew the characters would
...
be terrible. This anime has such a large cast of characters, and that is a problem. Since there are so many characters, barely any of them had character development at all. Almost every single character is one dimensional, and that is absolutely terrible. The thing is, I wouldn't have too much of a problem with the very minor characters not getting any character development. The problem is that the main character (Mikazuki) gets absolutely no significant character development throughout the entire series. Like seriously, he hasn't had a significant change in his character since episode 1. The other character, Orga Itsuka is just as bad. Now I'm going to have to include a spoiler, so if you arent caught up you might want to exit this review. There is a character that goes by the name of Shino. He sacrificed himself in an attempt to kill the enemy leader in episode 45. Once he fails, Orga Itsuka tells tells everyone to go back and rescue Shino. This is just one of the many examples of extremely bad writing. He has been leading all of the orphans for such a long time yet his leadership skills didn't develop at all. That was his moment to shine and actually develop as a character, but they fucked it up. He could've actually started acting more like a leader but he didn't. Once again ladies and gentleman, this is onle one of the many examples I have for this review. It's already bad enough that most characters don't get developed, but if the main two characters never had any significant character development, then that is an absolute problem for the story. My next point is that this many episodes in this anime have no story progression whatsoever, specifically the first season. All they fucking did was fight battle after battle until they escorted that one girl to earth. The plot of this anime is somewhat similar to the plot in Jojos Bizarre adventure part 3. The main cast of characters just had the goal of arriving to a destination. This was really bad in the case of this anime, since a shit ton of episodes had no story progression at all. What made Jojos Bizarre Adventure part 3 at least interesting was the battles. Each battle was a masterpiece in my eyes. It was so much of a pain to even get through part 1 of this shitty anime because it's extremely slow paced.
The animation and sound are really the only good things about this anime. The openings and some of the fight scenes are pretty damn good. I won't talk much about this anyways. The good animation and fight scenes wont redeem the bad writing that this show has.
This anime has many useless characters that contribute absolutely nothing for the story. An example of a useless character would be Atra Mixta. This character was absolutely useless. She was simply just a one dimensional character that did nothing but flirt with Mikazuki (which is very cringe since she appears to be an 8 year old). This also brings me to my next point, the romance in this anime is done horribly. It's extremely bad. It just turned somewhat into a harem with Kudelia and Atra (the worst characters in the story). It was so poorly done because there was so much build up between Mikazuki and Kudelia's relationship, but then he just ends up with the girl that appears to be 8 years old. Not only this, but the romance is just extremely cringey. It makes it even worse because the characters have minimal to none character development. The romance between Akihiro and Lafter was terrible. All of that build up just so she can get shot by a RANDOM person? That's extremely bad writing. This also brings me to my next point, the way the characters die in the end was EXTREMELY bad, especially in the case of Orga Itsuka. He just randomly gets shot by a random person! That's the absolute worst way to kill off a protagonist. If you're still reading this review, I want you to do something. Think of a long running anime that you really like. How the fuck would you feel if the main characters just gets killed by a random person that shot him. It's fucking pathetic isn't it? Instead of making him die in a badass way like Shino, the directors decide to get him killed like that. That's extremely bad writing. This anime pretty much did the same thing Akame Ga Kill did, killing of characters in the dumbest of ways. What makes it so bad is that the characters have zero depth to them, so us as the audience really couldn't care less if they die.
So here is an overall summary of my review
Animation: 8/10
Sound: 8/10
Characters: 0/10
Plot: 0/10
Writing: 0/10
Enjoyment: 2/10
Overall: 2/10

It pisses me off how how the minimum rating I can give is a 1. This series doesn't even deserve a 1 because it isn't good at anything. This is the only series I've seen that truly fails at every single thing it tries to do. The story started off with Natsu trying to achieve his goal of finding Igneel, not too bad right? But throughout the series, he literally does nothing to achieve his goal. I mean even the first 100 chapters of this manga, Natsu didn't do a damn thing to try and achieve his goal. That's just fucking ridiculous. That's bad writing...
...
It's as if the mangaka just completely forgot about the point of the story. That's not even the worst part about it though. The entire plot is just complete and utter shit. Some of the arcs are just random dark guilds attacking the Fairy Tail guild, that's how simple it is. The phantom lord arc and the tenrou island arc is literally just a random group of dark guilds attacking fairy tail for whatever reason, and then the fairy tail guild uses their nakama powerups to beat them. That's just a horrible way to get the main characters into conflict, and also a horrible way to introduce a villain. And almost every arc I've seen in this manga is just bad... The only decent one is the tower of heaven arc. The worst arc in this series is definetely the grand magic games arc. I've never seen more asspulls and deus ex machina, and retcons. Erza getting friendship powerup to defeat minerva, laxus beating Jura so easily and quickkly, even though it was stated that he's one of the strongest mages. Plus it doesn't make sense for Laxus to be beating Jura when he hasn't even trained 1 bit, and he got beaten by Natsu. This also proves this shitty series also has terrible powerscaling. Someone that gets beaten by Natsu early in the series can become a lot stronger without even fucking training. One of the worst asspulls in this series is when Erza was fighting Akuma. That was one of the worst fights in the series. It literally made no sense whatsoever. The characters are really fucking bad. By the time I finished this series I realized for a second that there isn't even ONE interesting character. Some of the characters used to be good, but they completely got fucking ruined. -Natsu: Extremely generic protagonist. A complete fucking luffy copy. If you haven't seen Fairy Tail yet, just think of all the cliches a shounen protagonist can have, and there you go, that's what Natsu is. He gets absolutely no character development throughout this series. He was close to getting character development when he fought Gildarts, but his development literally just reset since he hasn't learned his lesson. Even after he fought Gildarts, he still wasn't capable of reflecting on his actions. He has no introspection. If an author of a manga isn't capable of making a character display ethical or psychological development, that is an absolute problem for your story. He has no internal characterization, none whatsoever. He has no fucking internal dialogue (which is actually pretty fucking ridiculous), none. He fits none of the criteria that make him a good character. His whole character is based on Nakama bullshit, which is extremely cliche... Natsu is an extremely flawed character, and I'll give more reasons to that. Another problem with Natsus character is that he only gets involved in conflicts because the "bad guys" hurt his Nakama. I know One Piece also has this problem, and it really pisses me off. Natsu only gets involved in conflicts concerning his nakama. This isn't a good way to get the protagonist involved in conflict. The reason it isn't good is because it's the cause of all the friendship bullshit. I don't think it happened in evey arc, but I know for sure it was most of them. Gray: Used to be a cool character until his character also was based around nakama bullshit. Now he's no different from the rest of the horrible characters that constantly talk about nakama. Lucy: This character is pointless, only in there for the fanservice. Most of her fights end up in asspulls just to progress the plot. I actually think she's the best (least worst) of the main cast. Doesn't make her a good character though. Erza: By far the worst character in the entire manga. All of her fights end up in asspulls, every single one of them. She used to be a badass early on, but become a damsel in distress. It's just fucking disappointing. Even the character designs are fucking lame. All the girls look the exact same, just massive boobs, and the same damn face. Most of the characters that do get developed, it really doesn't matter since they became the same sissys in the end. Their development didn't even matter at that point. Another thing that Fairy Tail does bad is the characterization. Most of the characters have poor characterization, and have little to none development. I'm going to give one example here. Elfman and Mirajane act the way they do because their younger sister Lisanna died (before the series started). But their characterization was completely fucking pointless after they find out that Lisanna is still alive in another dimension. There was literally no point to their characterization if Hiro Fagshima just brought them back. And the funny thing is, Lisanna literally had no purpose after she came back. She literally didn't do shit, she was useless, she had no purpose in the story. Basically, Hiro Mashima ruined two characters for no reason at all. And another thing that pisses me off is how characters just get brought back to life constantly, and once they do get brought back they don't get any character development whatsoever. The author of this manga fails to realize that killing characters might actually make series a bit better. Killing off characters can lead to character development, but the author fails to realize this. So pretty much none of the characters in Fairy Tail are well written, or at least decent, including the villains. There isn't a single villain in this series that's considered well written. Most of them are villains for the sake of being evil. Most of them are extremely generic. The thing that angers me about this manga is how fucking generic it is. The main character has fire powers, that's the most generic it can fucking get! It's an extremely basic battle shounen, and it has every cliche you can even think of. The lack of creativity in this manga just proves the author didn't put much work into it. I've seen other battle shounen that are quite generic, such as Yu Yu Hakusho or Boku No Hero Academia. The difference between them and Fairy Tail, is that they actually are good at what they do. Fairy Tail isn't good at anything it does. The worst part about Fairy Tail is the asspulls that happen every damn fight. Here is how it goes. Main character gets beaten up badly by the bad guy, Main character makes a speech about friendship, Main character beats villain with a random power never before seen (which is considered an asspull) That's the recipe used in every fairy tail fight. Not even a single fight is won because they train, it's all friendship powerup bullshit. Even worse, the main characters never fucking lose! fights against villains! There is no sense of danger in this manga, since none of the main characters will EVER die. At no point while reading this do I feel like the main characters will die. That's just BAD writing.. The main characters can defeat every single person they fucking want to, even if it's a god. All they have to do is yell out a friendship speech and yup, they fucking won. There isn't any suspense in this manga, when the fights are the exact same every fucking time. That's how fucking bad the power scaling is. We know damn well that some of the people Natsu has beaten are far stronger than him, but since his Nakama are involved he can completely destroy them. Another thing that this manga does bad is it's combat system. Every person has a random power (magic). The reason why this sucks is because it's so generic. Who would want to read a series where the characters have the most generic powers? It just shows how little effort the author has put into making this horrendous manga. I'm almost done with this review, but I just have to add this in. Fairy Tail doesn't have an interesting/unique world. We barely know about the setting at all. The world building is complete and utter shit. Now I'm just going to summarize some of my points. Fairy Tail has no well written characters, none whatsoever. Fairy Tail is extremely unoriginal, literally nothing about it is creative. Fairy Tail has horrible fights that aren't suspenseful whatsoever. This manga has more asspulls than anything you'll ever read/watch
Overall rating: 0/10
Absolute filth that should've never been created.

Yu Yu Hakusho, one of the classics, and by most people considered one of the greatest anime series of all time. Yu Yu Hakusho is better than most Shounen anime out there, and it's my favorite anime of all time
One of the best thing about the series is the characters. Each character is unique and very interesting. Yusuke Urameshi is the main character of the series, he was a delinquent at the start of the series, but he is the character that gets the most growth and development. Kuwabara is the 2nd protaganist, has a somewhat friendly rivalry with Yusuke. Hiei is a demon that
...
started off as a villain at first, but then as the series goes on he becomes more of a good guy, due to Yusukes influence. Kurama is the most chill out of all of them, and like Hiei, he is also a demon. Each of the characters have some interesting character development, . It's impossible to not like the characters if you were to watch this anime.
Another very good thing about Yu Yu Hakusho, is the story arcs. The first saga is introducing everything and all, but the series really starts to get interesting in the beginning of the Dark Tournament saga ( or maybe a couple episodes before that ). The Dark Tournament arc is one of the greatest arcs of all anime and manga. The action is very good, and each and every match of the tournament is suspenseful, along with the fact that the arc has an awesome villain Toguro. The Chapter Black arc is also a 10/10 hands down. Most people say that the final arc (Three Kings arc) wasn't that great due to it being rushed, but in my opinion it was decent. The series would've been even better if the 3 kings saga was just a bit longer.
The animation isn't top notch and it's a bit outdated, but the fight scenes are very good. At some moments the animation is very good (yusuke vs kamiya) but sometimes it doesn't look that great. I still give the animation a 7/10 though. I don't need to make a separate paragraph for sound, so i'll just say this: the OST's and the opening are 10/10.
Overall this is a very good anime, probably the most enjoyable anime i've ever watched in my life. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good Shounen series.
