Overflow is an interesting hentai
And I know some of you will hop onto me and say "Kana, how exactly is this interesting, the story wasn't interesting, mc was bland and indecisive and overall it's a 50/50 show"
And although you not wrong with the animated adaptation (and yes you heard me right, 284672 for my readers out there), I'm willing to bet a number of you even considering that didn't make your enjoyment of it negated, since I feel the same way in a sense.
This will be a brief review since I am planning on reviewing a few other series, but I wanted to review at
...
least one hentai that I actually watched.
Story: Story for me is interesting in a similar sense domestic girlfriend is interesting (and I don't mean this as a bad thing).
The MC is conflicted on which of the girls he knew since childhood does he love more, and that's where the story part of this series is capped off at.
It does have an arc rather it doesn't take it anywhere with what it offers or just doesn't know what to do with it, you either stick with it to see where it goes or just drop it, it certainly ain't for everyone but it's nothing bad just I guess generic.
Art: As some can point out this is the most anime-looking hentai out there, and I think that's thanks to the animation and how it flows (especially at episode 1, others vary in my opinion).
Hell how I found out about this was from a youtube video, and for the first few minutes of me watching the first episode, I legit thought it was just a new weird romance anime whose subs might have come out a few days ago.
It was actually surprising and props to studio hokiboshi for animating like that, but that kinda is its saving grace from it just being a "meh" hentai, which doubles as a pro and con that I won't get into.
Sound: N/A (I watched this mute since my headphones were dead and I had nothing else, so I can't exactly rate it as of writing this 3:16 am CST. So I am assuming it's like any other hentai, VAs are nice, ending song solid, etc.)
Character: Just what I said in the story segment, the depth of the character (the mc giving this case) is just conflicted on who he loves more.
Most I can say is take it as you will, the mc was just there to voice his feelings (be it internally) and the girls Ayame and Kotone were cute.
Enjoyment: I had fun with it (and no not that kind of fun), it's a "series" that certainly has potential and It kept me entertained, I just hope the plot will actually go somewhere instead of it being back to back with the girls since that'll be a bit dull
Overall: It's a series that it's mainly eye candy while the actual plot (both the adaptation and book) is 50/50 which isn't necessarily bad (depending on what you want out of this), but I think its goal was to keep it short and sweet and not drag itself on to show off the fact that their anime-like as many regarded it as, which honestly it better off as that.
I didn't feel like I wasted my time with this and I just had fun.
Overall I think it's good, a bit closer to above average that very good.
Check it out if you just wanna see where this series go, other than that I think its episodes lengths along with it's run time is good for a one-off watch.

WARNING
This does contain spoilers on the character section, It is brisk but if you haven't watched one punch man at all or in the middle of it, I highly advise you ignore this review or just drop everything and watch it all now or finish up.
I think we all know what's it's like to start from nothing then eventually become something in the world.
Whether it be drawing, writing, cooking, music, etc.
Yet what some people tend to forget is you gotta either be incredibly good or incredibly lucky to make it big with what talent you may succeed in.
And in my eyes, one punch man is
...
a golden example to not only does it not matter if whether it be luck or pure talent but that people will see your work.
But also that anyone small or talentless can at least offer something to the world, and that's something I'm willing to bet ONE knew and strode on and in the end, it all paid off.
Story: It's very good and rather simple to understand, most villains primarily are portrayed to best explain it via western perspective as a Saturday morning cartoon types of thing but if they weren't reoccurring excluding possibly one guy in the series but we'll get to him, the shows strongest suit of course is it's writing and thankfully it's been mainly untouched as far as I know.
The only downside of the series some may say is as the title states, it's about a guy who can defeat ANY opponent with a singular punch, whether it be normal or serious.
My only counter-argument to that statement is if your willing to watch discount humanoid sun wukong live on earth and fight off his own species, teenagers that can transform into weapons and fight witches, and an egotistical highschooler with a god complex with a magic book that can kill people in seconds, and muscular spirit wielders fighters hunting down a vampire whose life goal is to take over the world and end a bloodline, with his own spirit wielding fighters weakness is sunlight punches.
I think a guy that can kill anyone with one punch isn't much to complain about as to how absurd the concept is.
Art: Anyone that has come across ONE's self-published works of OPM can without a doubt say that the manga was a much-needed upgrade in the sense of it's still funny and good, but the art can use some work.
And just like Yusuke Murata's work on the reworking of the web series, studio madhouse manages to capture the reworked mangas spirit damn near to a T, thanks to it and the freelance animators (which at the time I didn't even know they brought in).
I have generally no complaints at all for how the show looks, from the animation to character designs, to the color/colours used, it's all pretty and generally appealing.
Sound: The Original Soundtrack is really great (you cannot look me in the eye and say that the Opening song can hype you up or make you sing along), since it has been a while I can't get too in-depth of sound but all I can say is that it is great.
[Final warning of spoilers below for OPM, again at this point if you still haven't seen it, leave now and watch it]
Characters: All of the characters do have a purpose in this series, but most of it centering around Saitama and Genos, the character I can empathize with is Saitama.
He busted and broken his body to be the strongest and to be a hero, but the cost of that was not having a challenge at all which makes it dull and lost that energy to have him go on, and now he wishes to fight an equal, someone who can stand against his attack instead of being a one-shot wonder and done.
He was close to finding one with Boros but ended him with one serious punch, but for the fact, that Saitama, or even us the audience sees someone is able to stand against even one of his attacks shows that that wish Saitama was hoping for can be plausible, but the main question is who, although fans can guess, speculate, and theorize.
In the end, the only person that knows who can be Saitama's equal is ONE and only time can tell as to who it is to rival Saitama.
My only gripe with some of the characters is just personal disliking (can't recall all the names and not gonna bother) or just one-shot villains that felt like lost potential which I get is the point as stated before
Enjoyment: I just had a ball with this series and honestly loved every minute of this series, I can't exactly think of anything negative about it unless I get real nitpicky about it and be critical, but I can look over them and I already am taking up a good chunk of this review so let's wrap this up.
Overall: One Punch Man is anything shy of nearly a masterpiece for an anime adaptation and shows that any ordinary person can rise from small to big if given enough time and OPM truly shows.
this series is a without question 9/10 and my gold must watch stamp
I strongly recommend this series to anyone who likes animation or just likes fun and enjoys good writing in general and looking for a good time.

(Warning: review contains a spoiler for the movie, you've been warned)
To be fairly blunt with anyone who reads my sorry ass review, the only racing anime I've known is initial d and although I have yet to catch the show I also have yet to see another racing anime that catches not only my eye and my attention, but also makes me want a series more than ever long after it's release (In terms of racing anime)
Enter stageleft: Redline
This is one of those one in a blue moon movies that's a work of art and holds a good sense of a world that just asking
...
to be explored, sadly it's a one-shot wonder coming from madhouse since it's a 0.0025% that they'll be willing to revive the film that nearly sunk them.
Not gonna dive on that old scar anymore so looking past that here's some of my thoughts on the film.
-Story
The story for redline is fine, bare bones but fine. It's not something that's revolutionary but nothing that's so bad it's insulting to the series.
My main issue is a lack of the character's backstory but more on that later.
Again fine but bare bones and I wish they could have given some depth to some of the characters (like JP, Frisbee, and Sonoshee a little bit).
The World of redline however is self-explanatory, some bold and in our face and some subtle enough to go unnoticed.
-Art/Animation
Do I even need to say anything about the art or animation?, it's amazing and it feels like it's coming straight from a comic book.
I have very little to nothing to say about it except for it's just...amazing and that they went fully hand-drawn with the movie is just flat out beautiful.
-Sound
Similar to art I really don't have much to say for sound except that it's great, not that every single track stands out outside of the races but it's good nonetheless. A small thing that I really appreciate about it is that whoever is in first they track changes, like when JP is in the lead the guitars kick in, or when sonoshee is in first it shifts with backup singers coming in.
It definitely comes off as the soundtrack was planned to be adaptive.
-Character
The characters are solid enough to not feel one noted as far as I've seen.
and to recall back on the story section for some character's backstories, mainly JP, frisbee, and sonoshee.
It's a bit tough to describe my issue with it but I guess it's the lack of explanation on how they met (excluding JP and sonoshee), now granted JP (and spoiler incoming) is doing these races to bail frisbee outta debt with the mafia for frisbee pulling a loan out to have JP race again (If I recall correctly, and if I am wrong please forgive me). But it was missing....something to me I dunno.
-Enjoyment
Obviously, by the score, I very much enjoyed the movie and it really shot up as one of my favorite anime movies in a long line of anime movies I've seen thus far, and what's very mind-blowing to me is that it's not only just 6-7 years of hand-drawn animation with painstaking detail on pretty much every frame-by-frame animation, but also that this film released in 2009 and it still looks like a brand new movie that just came out recently (but that is debatable).
-Overall
This is for sure a must watch movie in my opinion, it is a shame that Takeshi Koike was let go from madhouse since he was a very underground animator and when he's finally given his shot he then just disappeared and back into the abyss, but for the level of effort and passion poured into this movie I cannot recommend redline more than enough.
I really liked it for its art and soundtrack and the characters not being one-dimensional, but its story could have been somewhat polished more in terms of letting us see more of the characters and why there like this.
And it's ending (which I won't spoil here) but it was truly, in my opinion, the best way to end the movie, and I'm not sure if it's me but it felt much more than what it appears to be and has the brimming potential to be a lasting series if studios just give Mr.Koike another chance at the series and make it something special.
And overall to best explain the film, it was the straw that was worth the camel's back and you'll most definitely not regret watching every second of it.
