When I first saw it, I couldn't believe there actually existed an anime that focused only on Karl Marx's life & biography. Then I watched it, and the fact that it was Chinese made sense. It made me a little upset - after all, it was a kind of propaganda. Also, as seen in the anime, Marx-kun didn't like many compliments, and you know what? This anime is basically it!

When I was a child, I used to enjoy this kind of anime very much. I didn't care if the character's background stories were lame or the anime plot itself was awful, I simply lied in front of the TV for the whole episodes and anxiously waited 'til next week to see what would happen after.
It's a pity I'm not a kid anymore. When Saintia Sho was annouced, I jumped with joy. Finally I would see a kind of "what if the saints were girls?". Then I waited for it, watched the episodes... And got upset. I would say that at least the manga is truly ... Feb 3, 2020

Well, how can I say that? It's just a very ordinary anime with ordinary characters. Basara's motivation is just... unbelievable. And not in the good way. I mean, I wold give 3.5 stars out of five for this anime because it tried. And failed. It seems like an alternate version of Highschool DxD, and would be great if it wasn't a low budged project AND everybody's motivation weren't so mediocre.
The first episode is OK, which means I thought it would be a great idea to buy every volume of the original manga. Well, I didn't regret that, because I had met this story in ... |
