Honestly, I was just watching because of the vicarious vamp-raping, but I ended up enjoying the story. I think it helps you see where all this anime misogyny comes from in a kind of a "suck on this, Sigmund Freud" way (might be unintentional, though). Not that it isn't obvious to begin with, but it got me thinking about it and it made me have a "why didn't I see this before?!" moment. It was a pretty cool experience for me.
Also, how hilarious is that their father is named "Heinz". It just makes me think of ketchup as fake blood or something. The downside is,
