Story: The story in Speed Grapher is just so intense it is addictive to see what will happen next and how Saiga's gonna get out of this one.
Art: There is no "lazy animation", the detail is superb.
Sound: I gave this an eight only because the ending theme is so very very BORING. And the lyrics... "I'm all jittery like a horse's tail"? That's, like, the worst simile ever. The opening theme is fantastic, though, and the dubbing simply kicks ass. You will hear lines like "Get me more diamonds, you cocksuckers!", "Geez lady, that was fucked up", and "Try not to crap yourself with excitement."
Character: ... The characters are great and they have different sides to them. Like the gun-toting detective woman you'll meet in episode one. You think you have her figured out, but then in the third volume it turns out she's more than meets the eye.
Enjoyment: This is a nine only because I don't like Tsujido (sp?). Just plain don't like him. Yeah you are probably saying that should go under 'Character', but I don't enjoy this character... I found out his voice is Greg Ayres, and that might be why I dislike him.
Overall: MUST SEE.

Franz Kafka's stories are known for their weirdness, and so it was inevitable that at least one would be adapted to anime, where a little bit of weird is the norm. ("The Metamorphosis" is available in graphic novel format) But I'm surprised that it's this story, of which I've never heard, was the one.

The story in "A Country Doctor" was hard to follow. Perhaps I'd understand it better if I read the story on which it's based. A lot of it is probably supposed to be metaphors for stuff. Like when one character suddenly bit another character; that's probably a metaphor for humans' cruel nature ... or some such thing.

The art may seem really odd for an anime. Characters are depicted with body parts growing larger, and instead of walking, swinging across the screen weirdly. (It's hard to describe this in words... you'll understand it when you see it.) For this kind of "psychological" anime, it seems an appropriate style of art. It probably also represents the inconsistent ways in which reality is perceived.

The sound is outstanding! Just, no other comment than that.

Since it's only a twenty-minute film, the characters don't have much time to develop. Worth noting is that when the main character, the doctor, is thinking, two black, childlike figures appear behind him and speak the inner dialogue. It's a strange effect which probably represents the duality of something or other.

I enjoyed this a fair bit, just to watch and see what the hell happened next, and seeing if I could find any hidden meanings in it.

Overall, though, it has a pretty weak story. I recommend watching this if you're bored, if you're a Kafka fan, or if you're taking a class in philosophy, psychology, cinematography, or one of those classes where you have to find the hidden meaning in shit.

Story: The story makes sense while you watch it, but if you think about it too much it begins to seem kind of stupid. So my suggestion is don't overthink it. There was one continuity error, but it's only noticeable if you overthink it. The ending is a bit weak too, but I am almost never satisfied with endings so that probably doesn't mean much coming from me.

Art: The visuals are stunning! Have to see it to believe it. The 3-D meshes with the 2-D in a way that no other anime really accomplishes. (For example, the 3-D in "Last Exile" or "Ghost in the ... Shell" are good, but a bit too distracting.)

Sound: The soundtrack is really neat, from the background music to the SFX to the character's voices. The only quibble I have is I didn't really like the sound of the opening narrator's voice, but luckily you don't ever have to hear it again.

Character: All the characters are great! From the chibi-SD girl who is the "Chief", to the android policeman, to the Diaper King (who manages to be really badass even though his name is "Diaper King"), to the quirky porno director, etc. etc. The characters don't have much backstory, but, again, that's only a problem if you over-analyze it.

Enjoyment: Extremely high rewatch value. Watch it by yourself or with friends, or both!

Overall: This Korean movie is a weirdly kickass piece of work that rivals much of the cliche'd series that come from Japan.

Story: The description of this series sounded interesting but it is executed poorly. 'Doki Doki School Hours' is like the inbred offspring of 'Azumanga Daioh' , 'Pani Poni Dash', and 'Digi Charat'. Series begins 'in medias res' and has no real plot or drama. The pace is really hyper, and throws me off. Each episode is a series of short gags, like a 4-koma comic or something, interspersed with character profiles for scene transitions

Art: It's drawn well, but I highly dislike the extreme 'manga-ness' of it. 'Manga-ness' includes things like large Japanese text on the screen 80% ... of the time, displaying a character's name every scene they are in, and "profiles" of the characters appearing on screen for two seconds (Not enough time to read it, and I am a very fast reader).

Sound: The opening theme was forgettable, the ending theme was not much better, but what I really want to talk about is the LACK of sounds. Instead of having actual sound effects, the animators just write the sounds in kana on the screen. ALL THE TIME. So, instead of putting the sound of a heartbeat in when a character is nervous, there's just these HUMONGO "どきっ! どきっ! どきっ!" all over the screen. The same is done with regard to the sounds of walking, eating, laughing, etc. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING. Also instead of maybe putting some damn music in to convey the mood, the mood of the character is just written in GIANT kanji above/behind/next to them. Look, writing things like "concerned" or "serious" everywhere is okay IN A MANGA. This is just ANNOYING.

Character: The characters are actually done well. This is the thing I had no problem with. But you must be constantly reminded what character is currently on screen, usually with big flashing text at the top and bottom. ANNOYING.

Enjoyment: Like reading a manga without having time to properly look at each panel. NOT ENJOYABLE.

Overall Doki Doki School Hours is just poorly done. You just have to watch it for yourself to get a feel of how s***y this anime is.

This is a very good manga, even if you don't know anybody with autism. If you do, the manga has little blurbs of advice interspersed with the story, which I thought was a nice touch.
I noticed that there is never any trouble with insurance, or tuition, because it takes place in Japan.
One area where the story was sometimes not very realistic: Sachiko is often looking to choose a daycare/kindergarten/school for Hikaru. When this happens, there is usually a daycare center that treats the disabled kids really negligently, and then there is one that treats them awesome. She rarely sees any schools that have both good ... and bad things about them.
People who have not read manga before can still feel comfortable with reading With The Light. The best example of this is the sound effects: Rather than replacing the kana with English, or putting a cumbersome glossary of SFX in the back, the equivalent sound effect is written along with the kana. So next to ビュッ (byu!) is written "whoosh!".
The characters are believable, and overall it's a pretty well-done story!

This is a fantastic anime, very fun to watch! My friend was like "Do you want to watch Daichis?" and I said "What is it about?" and he said "It's like The Incredibles, but it's better, funnier, and it's anime!" It's not really like The Incredibles, I mean it does have a superheroic family, but that is about the extent of the similarity.

Story: is pretty pretty good. a little bit of everything: drama, comedy, action...
Art: pretty kickass.
Sound: this anime has the BEST opening song EVER.
Character: some characters appear to be flat at first, but there are surprising depths of character.
Enjoyment: i enjoyed it very much.
Overall: ... It's worth watching if you ever get the opportunity.
