Hey there it's Jtb.

I prefer subbed but I do have some exceptions to anime I watched dubbed: 1) I watched it dubbed as a kid ex. Dragonball Z, 2) It sounds better dubbed ex. Fairy Tail.

My favorite anime and characters will probably change frequently. Also, just so you are aware, I usually put anime I'm not sure about in my on hold, then watch the first episode of them. If I like them, they go in Plan to Watch. If I don't, I will just put them in dropped. I know this isn't the traditional way to do your list, but that's how I roll. Hope to talk with people about anime we've watched and also get suggestions on new anime. See ya later people.

Also....... I completed the 2015 Anime Watch challenge! So yeah, feels pretty damn good, I must say.

I Finally Finished The 2016 Anime Watch Challenge! I think this might be my last one though, going to move onto some new challenges.

I think I recommended Evangelion before I watched it. I thought it sucked.

Well, I'm glad you liked it. I haven't seen it yet, but I did read Bokurano which is by the same guy(and has an anime adaptation), soyou might wanna check that out(i think it's Mecha but it's worth it). You could also check out Neon Genesis Evangelion because, while it's mecha, it's also really rather dark(it even carries the dementia tag, which is rare). But yeah, I'm glad you liked what I recommended you based on what you asked for.

Imo the first season was better, but the second one works out the characters more. I agree though that this is an anime more suited for fans of the mmorpg genre.

The manga version of season 2 was a fair bit better for Tokyo Ghoul. But beyond that I quit reading, the author kind of went off the rails with the story.

Good for you. I won't say you will get the same with Ergo Proxy however its mostly certain to get the same reaction to Neon Genesis Evangelion. That is if you will watch it.

Kaneki was one of the most annoying anime characters ever to exist. The second one mainly focuses on the cannibalism.... so if you really don't like that, I wouldn't recommend it. But the fight sequences are on f*cking point. Same with the second one, there are some cool battle scenes for sure. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Oh hell yeah, I definitely agree with you. I wanted to give it a 10 so bad, but there was something that stopped me and I can't quite remember what it was. I guess I must have to rewatch it then (:

the focus of cannibalism kindof steers on and off, but I got into it about four episodes in. if Tokyo Ghoul isn't your cup of tea, you can always check out Death Note but this has 30+ episodes, also Black Butler was one of my personal favorites, it's about a boy who has a demon as a butler. I believe Black Butler has 24 episodes. all these are a little dark and twisted.

hey! I read that you needed a recommendation for the anime challenge, maybe I can help, I thought Tokyo Ghoul was a good one, kinda gory, bloody, in general it has mixed results, but seeing how you like angel beats, it may be your cup of tea. there's only two seasons, with 12 episodes a piece.
