Both feature little kids as main characters. Both deal with love relationships featuring adults. Both have a trio of children that plot to help certain characters fall in love. Also, both deal with the importance of family and human vs human relationships. Overall they're both pretty good G rated anime, for anyone that just wants to relax and watch something nice and entertaining.

Both deal with someone with a specific view of the World trying to change it. Both have fantastic elements to it (alchemy in Fullmetal and "magic"/mechas in Code Geass) that adds a certain mood to the series. Both are very dramatics stories with lots of twists, but not without their comedic moments. Both are great shows, that will make you think, laugh and perhaps even cry.

If you like animes where the main focus is love and relationships between characters, and all the emotions that come from it, then you will like these two shows. Both deal with a lot of powerful dramatic themes, such as sorrow and nostalgia. They deal mostly with being separated from the person you love/care about, and how that can affect your life. During the course of the show you might get attached to the characters and really experience their struggle and their pain. Plus, you can really relate to the characters if you have been through something similar (and perhaps even if you have not). If you watched one of them, and liked it then you are likely to like the other as well.

Senjou no Valkyria

First and foremost both are set on fictional worlds: KG is sci-fi set on the future and VC is set on fictional 1930's europe (actually called "Europa") in a WWI-like era. Both feature awesome female main characters that fight for what is dearest to them against many foes. Both also feature strong relationshsips between the characters and have a feel of fellowship and union. Both feature kick ass heroines with superpowers. They may feel like the show is all about action and such, but the more you watch, the clear it becomes that the shows actually deal with some mature themes.

11eyes

Both feature kick ass females as main characters (altough in 11eyes the protagonist IS a male). Both feature strong love stories set during a period of conflic and how those stories intertwine with one another. Valkyria Chronicles is less dark than 11eyes set during a wartime period where the two main chars have to protect their country and deal with each other at the same time. 11eyes is more dark (rated 17+) with some explicit sexual scenes and ecchi, however the similiarity between these animes is evident once you watch them (most of all when it comes to the characters, and their views of the worl around them) - also, both are set on fictional worlds.

School Days

Both have a main character that can't decide between many girls he can choose from (indecision!). Both take a dark tone mid series when problems begin to arise. Shuffle! has a more overall light mood with some funny moments but can get heavy at times, whereas School Days tends to be much darker altogether. Both are good examples of how indecision can lead to serious problems, especially when it envolves human relationships. Also both plots occur mostly in High School featuring students. They have very good plots and have a lot of twists and turns. However, these shows are definitely *not* for the weak of heart.
