Since there are so many mixed reviews I'll be honest about why people may dislike or like the anime so u can decide for yourself ;

•The reason why ppl may/-not like the CHARACTERS as they did in S1 :

Because they are strong now and it's not "interesting". Fair point am I right?
And some people don't like smart mc in isekai animes who don't care about virtue signaling and just do the things they find to make sense.

But also some people like characters that make choices that make sense in a lot of ways even if they don't care who will be hurt in ... the process like a naive person who can't make decisions with their own personality. But ofc except the mc there are the ones that are pretty classic trying to be unnecessarily "cute" and "wholesome" like Raphtalia.

Also, I need to warn you, if u are someone who doesn't like fanservice but at the same time can't watch something that has a girl character in it without sexualizing it u shouldn't watch the anime since u may consider a few characters as fanservice material even there is literally no visaully over-sexualized characters.

•The reason why ppl may/-not like the STORY as they did in S1 :

Some people may not like they strong now and it's not "interesting". Don't get me wrong he is not OP or something in a way that doesn't make any sense. It completely makes sense why they are that strong unlike the isekai characters in other animes that gets a power up once in a while out of nowhere. But some people just want to watch the same "getting strong" arc forever until the end of the 5th season over and over and over again. Not me tho.
Other than that I feel like they could go with something more interesting after ep 6 cuz like until episode 6 they are trying to do one big thing and achieve it. So u feel like ok anime is about to finish cuz there s nothing more to do, like there's waves and there are these heroes from another world. So the other 7 episodes feel like they want to do season 3 so they need to find a way to extend the length of the series and it's the solution. It's not horrible but also not that interesting. Still better than a cliche harem isekai.

First thing, for people like me who like to watch strong characters who don't rely on power-ups, it's really fair. But as I said after ep6 it's up to you but still better than a cliche harem isekai. If I need to explain the first episodes without giving any spoilers, imagine a huge cross-server raid boss event which is so hard to beat, that's basically it.

•The reason why ppl may/-not like the SOUND as they did in S1 :

no need to write a paragraph there s nothing that sounds awkward or weird or uneven etc. Nothing crazy nothing horrible. There were some awkward noises in s1

•The reason why ppl may/-not like the ART as they did in S1 :

It's literally the same. There s one individual thing which they did with CGI just like other wave bosses and I don't think it was that awkward. Yeah it's texture resulation was a bit lower than the other ones don't have an idea why it could be better and it wasn't horrible either. It's not Fate Series "no one" expecting top-quality VFX/CGI, at least no one should expect that. But also it's 2022 and they didn't do anything to raise the bar.

•OVERALL•

1. It could be better
2. We can say S1 is better cuz of some reasons but it's not like they ruined the series we will see if they want to ruin the series in S3
3. Still better than average isekai
