Before I start writing this review, I would like to tell you that this is my first review I've ever done in this site. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Story
So far I've watched 11 episodes of Yosuga no Sora, and I could say I honestly enjoyed it for a while. The first episodes are quite subtle and less intense than the upcoming ones, but personally I prefer them better than all of the other episodes. Why? anime about an almost-perfect good-looking guy who gets all the ladies (even his own sister, there's incest at later parts of the anime) and have sex with all of them. Sure, I would be fine if there were a few parts where he and one girl would kiss under the moonlight or hug each other passionately, yet I can't really help but feel awkward (not to mention a bit disgusted) when seeing H-scenes in every episode. I don't get why did the producers put so much effort on explaining the story behind each girl if they only wanted to have sex in the end with the main character? That feels way out of place with the whole drama building up in each arc.
Art
I would say the art is very good. When you watch Yosuga no Sora, you'll see many details on the surroundings and even on the characters themselves. The effects do really match the enviroment as I really enjoyed seeing the whole background flow seamlessly while watching. From the small waves I saw in the schoolyard pool to the breezing trees up on the temple, the art works dynamically to put more 'setting' into the story.
Sound
Voice acting is excellent. I couldn't sense any hint of cheesy lines (even though some of the subtitles are quite cheesy themselves) in the intense scenes. You could feel the emotion the voice actors put in because Yosuga no Sora can really pull you into the story as you further watch it. Soundtracks are really good and BGMs blend with the scenes, although some were less matching at certain parts of the anime.
Character
In Yosuga no Sora, all the main girl characters are given a decent story of their own. Viewers could easily understand the relationship of each girl with Haru (male lead) and what are their personalities. The thing that was lacking is the fact that Haru and Sora (female lead) both do not have a clear story where did they come from and so forth. All we know is that they moved into their grandfather's house since their parents died and have been living there ever since. More detail could be given to those two as they fill the main roles of the story. Other than that, side characters are quite developed enough to be more interesting in their respective arcs.
Enjoyment
This anime was definitely worth my time, but there were some parts I realized Yosuga no Sora could be too 'perfect' and rather 'unrealistic' for anyone who's looking for pure enjoyment. Could it be that the Haru is a flawless character who is handsome and attracts all the females? Or maybe there were too much underdeveloped romance which eventually lead to H-scenes? I like both harem and ecchi, yet this was over the tip of my usual scale. So much that I felt uncomfortable watching Yosuga no Sora. There was just too many ecchi in this series and not enough drama.
EDIT:
After watching the final episode of the series (I was at the eleventh when I wrote this review), I realized Yosuga no Sora did a good job on capturing the audience's attention in those drama parts. It makes you aware of what it feels like to go against people's opinion; go against what the world has to say to you; go against your own morals even. The story arcs (especially Sora's at the end) are quite progressive enough to make you let go of the love scenes for a while and focus back on the romance the anime offers.
Overall
Decent anime in my opinion, yet it lacks consistency in development since the viewers' attention is always being obstructed by constant H-scenes and excessive ecchi. If you like casual anime which are less serious, I wouldn't recommend watching Yosuga no Sora because it deals around intricate plotlines and you need to think quite hard to understand the whole concept of the story. But if you prefer watching drama series with a lot of romance, or perhaps you are a softcore hentai fan, go ahead and watch Yosuga no Sora.
