As a child I thoroughly enjoyed cartoons from boomerang to cartoon network, but you can only imagine how blown away I was seeing Toonami. For the first time a show wasn't all jokes, but had an in depth story with twists and turns. There was action and animation that would fill me with more excitement and ongoing fascination than any cartoon ever did.
However, i didn't really pull away from the mainstream stuff until I reached high-school. I even joined an anime club that i would later become the president of. Through the tutelage of my seniors is when i really began to broaden my horizons, them encouraging me to watch all types of anime old and new.
Now I have watched or read over 100 anime/manga. I struggle to remember a lot because I have a habit of binge watching until I reach the last episode. If the anime or manga is still going I tend to drop it and many times forget to return.
