YO I have an anime suggestion for you. It's a series called Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index). I think you'd like it because the animation's pretty amazing, there's lots of action, there's cute girls, the city it takes place in is very fleshed out, there's clashes between magic and science (although "science" in the show refers to psychic powers lol, but in the show that is considered a scientific thing), corrupt churches, etc. If you have time you should give it a try :D
