I have heard so much hype for this show hearing that it's one of the darkest anime of all time with great characters and a great plot. Boy were they wrong. Deadman Wonderland may be a classic, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I genuinely do not understand what people like so much about this show. There are some positives don't get me wrong, but the positives are severly outweighed by the negatives. Let's talk about them shall we?\
Here are the positives: The theme song is an absolute banger. The art style is nice and fluid and fits the style that the
...
show is going for. Most of the side cast are well written and the villains do a good job of making you hate them, and for what it's worth I think it has a cool concept. And as someone who hates gore, I think it was actually done well. Now that we have that out of the way let's talk about what the show does wrong. EVERYTHING ELSE
This is one of the worst paced shows I have ever seen. Everything is just, here's a plot goodbye, here's a thing goodbye and with little to no explanation. I heard rumors that they couldn't make a second season and that's why they had to rush it into 12 episodes, but if you're going to do that maybe don't shove 20 different plots into it. When you can't even come up with a satisying solution to the main plot, what right do you have to give every character a side plot? Oh yeah did I forget to mention they never even solve the main plot. This is where we get into spoiler territory so stop reading here if you care
The main plot of the show is that Ganta is framed for murdering his whole class and is sentenced to death for it. The head of the prison he is sent to is aware of the fact he didn't do it and doesn't care. He also puts all his prisoners into death games for his own amusement. Now do you think they ever solve who actually did it or if the guy gets any comeuppance? F*ck you? All that happens is Ganta and his crazy waifu escape the prison, he goes "oh well I guess we'll never know" and the show ends. WHAT?!
Deadman Wonderland is an absolute mess of a show that leaves you feeling so unsatisied with everything in it. And if you tell me to open one of those books we're gonna fistfight. Avoid Deadman Wonderland at all costs. The dub of the show isn't even all that good to begin with.

Well when I heard this anime was from the same creators as Aru Asa Dummy Head Mic I got a little scared. If you haven't read my review on that, spoiler I didn't like it very much. However unlike that this show does something that that show didn't, ASMR. Finally an ASMR anime that I've always wanted, but does that mean it's good? Well...kinda
Ok so yes there is actual ASMR in this show and for people who I bet aren't professionals, they don't do a bad job. They have soft voices and the triggers they do are what you would hear in an actual video.
...
This is definitely a show you cannot watch without headphones though, you need them for the full experience.
But besides that there's not really much else going on here. The episodes are about 3 minutes a piece meaning you can probably blow through this show in about 30 minutes. However just know going into this you have to not really think about the show whatsoever. Because the story of this show makes no sense whatsoever
Why would doing ASMR make a mother want to have another baby? Why do two sisters do ASMR to try and win the love of their brother? I know it's anime, but that's never actually been a good reason. The show is actually quite lewd too, there's lots of butt shots and girls moaning which if that's what you're into then go off, personally not my thing though.
Overall here's my thoughts, if you like ASMR this would be worth one watch and that's it. The actual ASMR is good, but besides that there's nothing else here to enjoy. It is possible to have ASMR and have a good story, again I refer you to Senko San, but here the main focus are the sounds and lewd scenes. There's nothing overtly wrong with the show, but it's not one I'm gonna come back to. After I write this I'll probably forget about it, better effort than the next time they'd try it though.

Oh boy where do I begin. Okay so I know you saw the score I gave this show, this is my personal favorite anime of all time just because of the huge impact that Danganronpa has had on my life. I genuinely think I wouldn't have gotten back into weeb stuff if it wasn't for it.
However I have to criticize where it's due, this show is heavily flawed. The biggest problem is the runtime. You cannot do Danganronpa in 13 episodes. What we get here is more or less an abridged version of the original game. Which if you are just here for the story
...
and don't really care for the dating sim or character development part of it, then this is for you. However I can't say I would recommend it over the game.
That's not to say this show is bad. It is still great to see things from the game in animated form. It's really cool seeing more of the characters emotions come out and to actually see them move around and interact with things outside of a text box it's all really nice to see. The executions are still great and the animation is really nice and fluid. The only thing that really throws me off is the voice acting, after hearing their voices in the game it's really weird to hear someone else voice them. I don't know why you couldn't just hire them again, maybe some contract issues or something.
Overall maybe if you wanna get into Danganronpa and have ADHD to the point you have trouble focusing, then I say watch this. Even if you played Danganronpa I still recommend watching this just to see the actual animated version of it. However if you want to get into Danganronpa fully I'd just go play the game. I'm all for it getting an anime and I honestly hope they give the second and third games one as well, but for the love of God give them a bigger runtime.

What the hell happened here exactly? The first season of Uzaki Chan was such a wonderous show full of laughs and heartwarming moments. So what happened here?
Everything in this season just becomes so repetitive and boring. Every episode is literally just the characters going "They like me what should I do about it?" "Maybe ask them out?" "NO THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!" Literally that's all that happens for each episode. They tried to cover up the flaws by introducing more of Hana's family, none of which I found to be that interesting. Like do we really need a subplot with her brother being jealous
...
of Sakurai's appendage? Yanagi was the closest one to interest me with her interactions with Sakurai, but the charm wears off quick. The jokes became extremley repetitive as well with the main ones being a goofy ahh cat making a face or Hana's mom thinking Sakurai wants her
The biggest problem with the show is just how toxic Hana turns in the season. Hana finds out fairly quickly that Sakurai is interested in her, but doesn't want to date him. At the same time though she doesn't want Sakurai to date other women either. I get the point is that Uzaki is lying to herself, but it's just so toxic and abusing if you really think about it. What happened to last season when the two cared about one another and just had a good time between themselves? Let's just throw all that out the window.
When Sakaki becomes the only character I like in the show, there's a problem. He actually becomes great being the only voice of reason in all of the cast. I think that's the only think I genuinely liked about this season. This season just left me both bored and infuriated at the same time. Such a shame too because I was genuinely hyped up for it too.

*Sigh* you could've done better
An anime about kickass girls going into a world where Japanese Folk Lore and Urban Legends come to life? Well sign me up Debra. Except then I was thoroughly disappointed. On paper this sounds like it could've been one of the coolest shows ever. It literally has everything a guy could want in an anime. Then you watch the actual anime and things fall apart. What could have been with this anime turned into a comedic slice of life about two women with sexual tension between them. Yes they do fight these monsters from urban legends, and by fight I mean
...
Sorawo just stares at the monster while Toriko takes an ungodly amount of time to aim at it.
This show is like a minefield of moments that should have been awesome, and they managed to avoid setting off every bomb. Now this isn't to say everything about the show is bad. I do actually have some positives. Kozakura is a great character, definitely my favorite in the show, and Sarah Wiedenheft does a great job bringing her to life. The art style is nice and it really shows when Hasshaku comes into the show. Who would've guessed the best part of the anime would have been the second episode? Also the stuff with the army guys wasn't bad either.
Besides that though I'm really struggling to remember just anything about this anime. It's so largely forgettable and it didn't have to be this way. The concept on it's own was enough to grab my attention. I have heard that the novel is better than the anime, but I haven't read it so I can't say anything yet. Overall I don't know exactly what I should feel about the anime. It's not horrible I have definitely seen worse and there are things to like, but I honestly think in the end I just wasted my time.

For an anime that has a whole plot revolving around ASMR, it does it's best to not stay true to that whatsoever. Now I love ASMR and I was excited when I heard a show about it was coming out, but this was without a doubt one of the most boring things I have ever watched. The ASMR if you can even call it that is about 8 seconds long in each episode and has loud sounds over it like the dummy head mic doing the generic happy anime character sound. I know each episode is only a few minutes long, but I feel like
...
with that time frame you couldve made the whole thing ASMR. Even if you didn't come for that, what you get underneath is one of the most generic slice of life highschool anime that has been done a million times before, except better. There's nothing overtly offensive about this show and it's a breeze to get through for what's out already, but I think I'd rather stare at ice melt for three minutes instead. If you want an anime that has actual relaxing and dare I say ASMR elements to it and is an all around better slice of life, watch The Helpful Fox Senko San.

Look it's not an anime that's gonna blow your mind. It doesn't have amazing character development or a story that really hooks you in. However it is something that's easy to watch and a good anime if you just wanna relax. It's cute it's charming and overall I came out of it with more good memories than bad. If you're looking for a extremely funny Slice of Life with tons of plot development look elsewhere. If you're looking for a show that you can watch and turn your brain off for a while this is it. The protagonist is literally the most relatable character ever
...
so it's definitely one you can easily self insert yourself into.

Let me preface this review by saying that I absolutely love Food Wars. It's genuinely one of my favorite anime of all time and even though The Fourth Plate did start to get a bit stale, the ending was perfect and the show overall is a beautiful story from Start to Finish.
That does not apply to this season
Food Wars The Fifth Plate feels like Bonus DLC that no one asked for. It was hinted at in Season 4 that Soma's Father was to compete as part of the Blue to become one of the world's top chefs. So it was only natural that Soma would
...
be challenged to do the one thing that his father couldn't. However they went about it in the absolute wrong direction. I don't know what this is, but at no point in the season did I genuinely feel the enjoyment I did past seasons. It feels like they completely forgotten about everything that made the show work in the past and tried to cover it up with more women's clothes getting ripped off.
I don't wanna sound like one of those people who don't want to accept change. I was in love with the Tootski Train Arc and that was a different enviornment than usual. However this just does not feel like Food Wars. The characters were not interesting whatsoever, the plots were repetitive and everything is just so out of place. For Example, Did Food Wars ever need a suicidal old man who was gonna take his life after eating food? That's such a dramatic overtone on the show that is usually overly lighthearted.
Not everything was bad, I did enjoy the first episode leading up to the Blue Competition and the challenge to create food with cheap Convienence Store products was interesting. Also I liked Soma's and Tsukasa's interactions, but did you notice anything? That's because that was things that had already been implemented in the show prior. If this was a standalone show then maybe it would've been fine, and thats why I gave it the rating that I did. Knowing that this was the final season of Food Wars however, this hurts me.

I've always been told how great this show is, I admit that when a show gets hyped up a lot it usually falls flat for me. However I gotta say this is one of those shows that lives up to the hype.
Yes let's get real, the show is all about fanservice, but they somehow make the plot interesting still albeit a little bit silly. The art style took me a while to get used to, but after a while I actually grew to like it a lot. There are nice colors in the background one can miss if they don't take time to look
...
at it. The characters had a nice flow of progression, and their story arcs didn't feel forced whatsoever. The comedy was there and the fight scenes were just *chefs kiss*.
The only reason I don't rate it as perfect is because the plot is once again really silly if you think about it and not every episode is a hit. However I think in the end this was an enjoyable watch that still has me thinking about it even after I finished it.
