Just a quick explanation of how my rating system works on my list.
10: Draws me into the world then holds onto me until the last episode. Leaves a void after the show is finished and makes me crave more. I LOVE any show that is rated a 10.
9-8: Amazing show that seems to be missing just that little bit extra to make it a 10. Enjoyable throughout the whole series and doesn't appear to have any major flaws that would detract from the show.
7-6: Great show that was above average but has a flaw or two that I have a hard time overlooking which prevented me from rating it higher. Might have a few episodes that were a bit slow.
5: My average show that I enjoyed but wouldn't view as anything special. It kept me interested and I would still recommend it to people who love the genre. A good deal of cliches exist preventing it from really being amazing. Some of the episodes might have been a bit strange or boring. Also has some sort of plot hole or flaw in logic that distracts me from getting fully immersed in the story.
4: Forgettable but not horrible. The best way I can describe this rating would be to say that I would not recommend anyone to watch this unless they are a die hard fan of the genre and want to watch everything in the genre. This show didn't really keep me interested for most of the episodes. Would have dropped the anime if I didn't care about completing series I started.
3-1: Not worth your time. This show was so bad I couldn't really see anything good in it. If you see this rating don't watch it unless you are a gluttony for pain and boredom.
Also, for anyone just getting into anime / looking to broaden your horizon, here is an anime starter pack I would suggest watching:
Your Lie in April (Drama 2014)
Steins Gate (Sci-fi 2011)
Monster (Psychological 2004)
Konosuba (Comedy 2016)
Berserk (Action 1997)
Ore Monogatari (Romance 2015)
Barakamon (Slice of Life 2014)
Highschool dxd (Ecchi / Harem 2012)
Hajime no Ippo (Sports 2000)
Gurren Lagann (Mecha 2007)
Every show on this list deserves a watch even if you don't think you will like the genre it represents or the art style.

Oh, yeah, I've actually planned to watch some of those, however, right now, it feels like I'm currently watching way too many series at the same time. So I've just put them on-hold for now.
"My hope is that the execution is done well enough to fully bring out that potential."
So many series during Summer failed to accomplish that, which was too bad. So I do hope so too, for this season! But as you said, let's wish that for every anime indeed!
So far, I really like Garo and Donten ni Warau. it didn't meet my expectations, since I kind of thought that they would be bad. They clearly proved me wrong.
How is that?
I never been a fan of the Fate series so I haven't watched that one. Probably will watch it some day though.
So far I really like alot of the shows this season. What about you?
Personally i dont really like log horizon after the 1st episode. I prefer sword art online though. The reason is actually pretty simple, there's romance in one and there isnt in another. I guess im actually strict in my taste of anime. Most of the animes i watched only consist of romance, with a few exceptions. There must be at least slightly be some visible romance for me to continue it. I feel that only romance could provide the suspense and the proper development to an anime. I would say the fate/stay night remake looks awesome but im a little confused as im not familiar with the fate series.
