Yep, that's it, at first an lovely anime with things seems to be going smooth and well but hiding a shredder ending, when Elq started to appear and the humans back story shows up I was feeling something bad would happen... with that said...
But don't get me wrong, thought with that hard hit at ending the anime still lovely all along, the ending is something like, "the worst of the best" and "the best of the worst" at the same time.
I dare to say, it reminds me the Darling in the FranXX ending, but, a much better one.
