also note: skaro has episode two of dororo up as well now!
also, if yr. interested, there is a dororo pilot posted on youtube that was made before the anime by tezuka's production company to promo the show - here it is:
only problem is, the guy who did this never posted the second half (maybe someday...)
i'm a huge osamu tezuka freak, and dororo is definitely one of his best! check it out on skaro hunting society (best fansubber group on the net, especially for old, esoteric stuff) - here's the link for episode 1: http://skarohuntingsociety.blogspot.com/2012/01/dororo-1969-episode-01.html
...also, if you get a chance while yr. there check out a couple of my other all-time favorite anime oldies: gegege no kitaro (1968) (first and best yokai anime and manga) and cutey honey (1973) (genius series based on equally genius go nagai manga)......enjoy!!!
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (LOGH). It's just CG without the powers but it's more rich in detail regarding plot and character development. If you observe Lelouch and the main protagonist from LOGH (Reinhard), their motives are too similar. They're also considered tactical/strategical geniuses as well.
I'm not arguing one is better than the other but CG would not exist without LOGH, Mobile Suit Gundam and Death Note. But LOGH maybe a bit slow and dialogue driven so you may need to take it with a pinch of salt. It's also very old. I've not finished CG yet btw.
