The main appeal of this series are the insanely detailed blowjobs. Anatomicaly perfect lips and tongues will create trails of rendered saliva as they slide through a penis. Blowjob scenes will go for dozens of pages, finding every possible camera angle to show a specific licking technique. And if the visuals aren't enough, most scenes are punctuated by the main character's inner monologues thoroughly describing every physical sensation he feels.

If that was all it took for a good hentai it would have been a 10/10 series, but unfortunately there are many other aspects that don't keep such a high standard. For starters, all the girls ... have pretty much the exact same body. When combined with the extreme focus on just one type of sex scene that leads to quite a lack of variety. It's still really impressive how many different ways the author managed to represent those blowjobs, but that'll only get you so far. In fact, it'd probably been better if the other sex scenes had been removed entirely, as they just feel like filler.

Another problem with this type of hyper detailed realistic approach is a lack of emotional depth in the story. The first chapter starts fine with a main character whose desires are relateble and lead nicely to the main fantasy of this series (getting your dick sucked as a school assignment). From the second chapter onwards the author just keeps introducing new characters whose personalities could be fully explained in an elevator pitch. We don't get any glimpses of their internal worlds other than the fact that they really REALLY love sucking cock. Their relationships (either with the main character or with eachother) are never explored either. Just as an example, chapter 4 has an incest scene, but it never dives into the psychological aspects of the kink, instead going back to the raw physicality of penises and tongues rubbing against each other.

Anyway, it's a pretty good doujin if you like blowjobs I guess.

Junk Land is a straight hentai about nerds having sex with each other. For a nerd who's attracted to other nerds, such as myself, this one was an absolute banger!

This is a very well produced hentai. With smart use of cuts and animation loops, this OVA manages to maintain a solid animation quality through it's entirety. The female characters are the focus of the sex scenes, but they do spend some time developing the male characters as well (which I always appreciate). There are 3 sex scenes in total and (from my perspective as a male viewer) they escalate in intensity very well.

All the characters ... are fairly well developed for hentai standards. Their relationships and nerdy personalities are expressed through their character designs and dialogue. You get the sense that these characters are fascinated with sex despite being so inexperienced, and I really identified with that.

Overall, it's one of my favorite hentai OVAs so far. Strongly recomend!

Rennyuu Tales The Animation is a compilation of 3 short hentai stories. Each story focuses on a different straight couple, quickly establishes their relationship and then immediately proceeds to a sex scene.

I imagine each of these relationships is better developed in the original manga, but out of the 3 we get in this adaptation only the last one has any sort of arc to it. It's about an idol who has difficulty taking sexy photos because she doesn't look "womanly" enough (the photographer's words, not mine). Her solution then is to learn to be confident like grown woman by having sex for the first time ... with her boyfriend. It's a dumb litlle storyline but it is kind of cute, and it adds a little more emotion to the sex scene.

The characters and their relationships are actually the best part of this OVA for me, even though I wish there was more of it. The 2 first stories are not as interesting as the last one, but they all try to establish some sort of believable romance between the characters. All the girls have their own personality and relatively creative designs. And even though this is a straight hentai with focus on the female characters, it seems that they did put some effort when creating the male characters as well. This all builds up to make us a little more invested when the sex starts.

Speaking of which... Unfortunately the sex scenes are nothing special. There are no creative situations or positions. Just the same old blowjobs, paizuris and 69s you've seen in a thousand differrent hentais before. The most arousing scenes for me were actually the ecchi scenes before the sex: Nyarko's dance, Rin falling down the stairs, Yuna's photoshoot... But there is nothing great here when it comes to visuals. I mean, I already expressed that I like the character designs, but the animation is as stiff and lifeless as most hentais out there.

Overall this is just... OK. It's a fine hentai that only lasts one episode if you're into straight porn and you have half an hour to masturbate. Just don't go in expecting more than that.
