I first discovered anime in the 70's at the beginning of my 21 year Navy career, then due to operational commitments did not have access to anime. After retiring from my 25 year second career as a 911 Dispatcher, I rediscovered anime. I was/am amazed at how far anime has come since the early 70's and now that I am retired with the availability of the internet and streaming apps, I have been spending my free time watching only anime. I guess you could say I am one of the oldest (yes I am in my 60's) otaku/nerd's.
