The plot progresses just fine; it just might feel a little boring because the plot is primarily tied to character development and character relationship development. A literal slice of life working at a family restaurant.
I think they delivered on that very well, if maybe a bit gradually. Maybe I didn't notice; I binged all three seasons and movie in 3 days, so I might be biased
but I promise there's a reason its rating only goes up
