im just being nice to the guys who made it.for me no anime deserves 1 or a 2 coz its fucking hard to make an anime u get the picture hundreds of mangas are out there just waiting to be turned into an anime then comes the difficult part of directing,voice acting,animation,graphics and what not so im just considering it and giving this a 5.although i would give it -5 for wasting my goddam time.

And if you need help to find some good anime or something like specific, I'll try to find something that meets the requirements for you :) I think I know a bit much anime now ^^

Btw try to give Monster a shot. If you like crime or detective stories and such, you would love this. I'm currently watching it and I'm certainly liking it a lot. At episode 55

U are pretty optimistic mate. Even though I feel like u are denying some of the things I am saying. I know u said u agreed that it has downfalls, but flaws just cannot really be overlooked. To be honest they left more stuff unanswered than even answered them and things began to be a lot messier than u think in season 2. If the anime isn't logical within the rules of its own, then it probably isn't that good. Info-dumping is basically lazy writing, where u give pieces of information out in the blue without being subtle about it. Here they used the dialogue to use info-dumping.

Good to hear u enjoyed it, but anime isn't always about sick battles. Tbh that's a little bit downgrading imo, if u have that mindset.

Btw shinsekai yori is not underrated according to Myanimelist. It's like rank 100'ish. But yes, it is underrated in Japan though as the sales didn't went well.

I can see why people might like owari no seraph. It has some decent visuals although generic character designs. The battle sequences are eye candy and looks cool and the voice actors did their best to convey the characters emotions. But that's not all the medium (anime) can offer. That's why believe it ain't that good.

Tbh you can see anime however you want it. If you are enjoyed it that is all that matters. Just don't be ignorant to every shows flaws. Even a series like shinsekai yori has its few flaws.

Not really that much no. If I told u I gave first season a 3/10 and second season a 1/10, I think it tells a lot. It became a lot more a mess than it already was in season 2. I could tell from the first episode of Owari no Seraph that this is not going to be good, u know why?

The introduction is pretty much people dying, and we get nothing out of it. The end. Four years later. WHAT?
Time skips should be handle with care as it a narrative tool that shouldn't be used for the sake of "time skips".
A LOT OF Info-dumping in dialouges of something we clearly can see and it's horrible. You cannot do that in times of writing.
Flashbacks with info-dumping, because the author clearly can put emotions into the dialogue.
Predictable outcome. Like seriously. HEY GUYS I GOT THE MAP TO GET OUT OF HERE FROM A VAMPIRE – Mika. SURE LETS DO THAT – Everyone else.
Tragic "backstory" for the one dimensional generic shounen character. You cannot point out really any form of development yuuichi had in those 2 seasons like seriously. He is as flat as he could be.
Killing pointless characters without any motives from the vampire. Seriously there was no purpose of doing that as it tries to be emontionally impactful for the viewers, but seriously, who cares for these kids anyway? The vampire be like: I like to see the despair of your faces that's why I'm going to waste so much of our food resources as much as possible. This is bad writing. It is just an one dimensional villain character, for the sake of being the villain without any motives. This is like Biba from Kabaneri that's was apalling. His motives were revenge of his father and that's why he is going to kill everybody! Like wth.

I think u get the idea now. Although the only character I "liked", u see that it's past tense, was Shinoa. Until she quickly became an annoying plot device character so it didn't even matter anymore. The reason why I "liked" her was the few similar character traits of Holo from Spice and Wolf.

Season 2 makes much less sense, and things become a trainwreck, which is why it is lower than season 1.

Edit: It seems Like you haven't seen kabaneri.

As you can see, I love this medium, because it has a lot to offer and that is why I'm pretty harsh with my scorings. When I see something like (this is a typical example) Sword art online gets praised for nothing. You normally get pretty upset that series like for example Shinsekai Yori, which you have seen does not.
