That's surprising, I often find people cite DR2 as their favorite! Maybe that's just because I'm among them, hahah. But I do agree that V3 had some of the best mechanics, and some solid trials as well! I thought they did well after really throwing the audience for a loop with Trial 3-1. I have to agree with the art style being a step up as well; certain V3 cast such as Korekiyo and Kaede really stick out in my mind. What was your favorite trial from all three games? Least favorite?

I'm definitely in the camp of people that disliked the ending of V3 - many aspects of it almost felt cartoony (and not in a danganronpa way, either), and the way they explained the killing games and how it was all essentially faked really didn't sit right with me at all. It takes all the arcs I really loved and says, "yeah, this is scripted". It's not like it stops me from loving them regardless, but it just gives me a funny feeling for not being "authentic", if that makes sense. Like finding out a musician you really like is an industry plant or something.

Yep i've never touched Higurashi yet. I know i'd like it since it's When They Cry just don't have the time for a 70+ hour game like that anymore. I played through every Danganronpa game recently and didn't mind the length because it has actual gameplay, i lowkey get bored of static vns these days haha. As for anime i've been watching Bungou Stray Dogs season 4 and it's cool the last time i saw the series was in 2019.
