Quite literally 11/10 as far as mystery-horror-thrillers go, at least for me personally.
The elevator pitch would be something like Higurashi meets Steins;Gate, coupled with an impeccable summer island & small town atmosphere. It could be described as a murder mystery, it could be described as a thriller... it's also a horror story about good old human greed. It even has a conclusive ending plus epilogue. It's a closed story.
The villain has a reasonable enough motivation. The story thankfully didn't take any sort of "it's a virus!" route.
