Considering the content inside of this season is way worse than season 1 and 2, the fact that we had to suffer subpar animation is lessen by the hope that better arcs will get a better animation, so despite this being a positive review, I dont dislike the fact that people are speaking up about the issues in its animation, aslong as it is done reasonably.
Still, the only fights that mattered were nicely animated which is a good consolation prize, it is not like they threw good animation ins the first 3 episodes and the rest were slop, the director clearly knew where to invest
...
more time and money which is undoubtly nice, this is not a fumble, this is a production problem, I am sure the studio would have done just fine had they had more resources to work with.
People have to remember that this issue is not caused by directors and artists but by greedy decisions by the excecutives. Also if you watched S3 of one punch man hating it all the way through, atleast give toujima kaimen raider a watch, you will certainly enjoy it more.
It was nice enough 7/10

This review will serve as an entire series retrospective.
My hero academia is about a boy showing that the spirit of a hero is more important than the power of one. It was exciting seeing someone without powers suddenly get an incredibly strong one but with limitations that only the right person would be able to use.
The first two seasons are the peak of this, a lot of characters feel important. It feels like the first academic year of these heroes and how they are starting to evolve little by little. We get the stein battle which was probably the best arc.
In season three we get
...
the training camp arc which is where the flaws definetly start to showing up. Lets do a million percent ignoring everything previously stated because it is flashy. Now that we have taken all the possible soul from his power, lets now make the shoot style which makes no sense, it is only made by convenience because they needed him to stop breaking his arm every arc.
I agree he needed something else, some kind of way to stop him from destroying his body constantly, but shoot style just isnt it. Such a pathethic way, I think full cowl was already contributing enough, he could have tried to learn to use the movement with both feet and arms to use his nimbleness in combat, but no, lets just create this shoot style that makes no sense and undermines everything stated.
Season 4 was mostly good, I think the last arc was a total waste of time, I dont really get why have a good charismatic antagonist and getting rid of him in a single episode. I think this is the exact problem of rushing the entire story in the first year of the mc. We only have one bad guy in all mha, which is all for one. I think arcs that explored different villains polishing deku would have been much better than all of these heores incrementing 10x their powers in a single year.
Season 5 was the spawn of a devil, I think 20% of the fanbase must have dropped it in that arc, such a slog where nothing happens, jesus christ.
Season 6 some concrete problems start to arise, I hate the infantilization of these villains, the fact that they run around making excuses of these villains constantly from this season until the end is honestly just exhausting. We got one villain that kills and drinks blood of people since they were a kid, maybe there is something wrong with her and she doesnt deserve a single ounce of empathy after having killed hundreds of people? The other bad guy got unjustly hit by his father once because he had curiousity about her grandmother and because of that he is just a sorry poor boy for the rest of his entire life? Make it make sense please, if had he killed a few people until getting to his teens, okey not his fault. By the point he is almost an adult he probably contributed to thousand of people getting killed, he deserves no empathy, he deserves not a single consideration for anything else than getting killed in combat, thats it.
Society turning on heroes for what is the tamest things possible, they only have two reasons, a killing of a villain that was gonna kill people and the son being one of the villains, thats it, and the fact that "oh you didnt protect us so dont protect us anymore". Instead they could have perfectly made it so more classes participated into the attacks, which would make more sense than only class 1-A and B, with all of two and three years missing apart of the three seniors, make it so students die and now the media has a reason to hate heroes institutions, but oh well.
You also got the heroes not figuring out a way to incarcelate or kill all for one? Dont tell me it was impossible because it could not be impossible, if not he would have been immune to everyone attacks when he got released and he wouldnt have been forced to use the regeneration.
What the hell was the sense of time in this season anyway, Hawk infiltrated the bad guys enough to make them trust him, he must have been a plant since years maybe even since he was a child. Nop he was a plant a whole one week, wow.
Deku was fighting everyone and the whole city was in ruins, atleast give me that it was a month, a month of cool deku, nop, it was a couple of days because we gotta make it to the graduation lads.
What I really dont get of season 7 is why in the hell did they send the two bad guys they wanted to separate most in such close proximity, like yeah lets send the blood girl like 100.000km away but lets leave all for one only 20.000km away, make it easy for him, why not. On top of that, wasnt there a better spot than right in front of an hospital to have a warfare? Really?
I am not even gonna pay mind that they could have sent all of them into an active volcano because if they had done that the two final season would have been 3 episodes long, so I will let this slide completely. But the fights just werent worth it for the most part, nothing really felt intense, all of the moments felt manufactured because they wanted to get to that exact moment no matter what they had to do to reach there.
Final season was not really that bad, mecha all-might was interesting and bakugo was hype to see, but I hate how the deku fight was not serious at all because he wanted to save him instead of killing him. It was a bit pathethic seeing Yoichi the first getting killed immediately.
Along the finals seasons it just felt the more they revealed about the story, the worst it was. The infantilization was the main culprit apart of having no more villains at all. Deku felt like a poser becuse he just became reliant to his power and when he unlocks more powers it doesnt really feel that significant given that you dont feel like he has overcome his one for all yet.
On top of all that I dont really know why they give tomura infinite powers when he uses like 3 at most, how is the guy that steals any power he touches have less power that the guy that had to pass it from life to life.
On the post credits they never really mention how did deku pass his last two years of mha, I mean the guy literally has no powers, he had no iron man suit yet. Who cares about the side plot of corrupt people using heroes as assasins. Who cares about anything that wasnt tomura apparently.
This season gets a 5 and the whole series gets a 7/10, for how long this all is, I dont think it is really worth it for a median watcher to watch the entirety of mha. It is all just bland compared to the first couple of seasons and every bit revealed just made the show worse. At times it contradicts the whole premise of the show with deku heavily relying to powers and the power of friendship more than anything else. The show wants to be realistic but at the same time it brusehes off any problem that isnt all for one or tomura. The infantalization of key characters feels awful considering their continued actions long term in their lifes. When some hero overcomes and advances their quirks stops being satisfying the moment they start ignoring all the rules of individual people quirks, which feels cheap and manufactured.

Just cool, if you like baki you will probably like this.
It also has some added context humour but it is mostly about being cool. I 100% stand behind their fights, they look cool, they feel cool and that is the only thing that matter for animes like these, one of the best animes of this season which sadly isnt getting enough attention.
I think a lot of the criticism you can give this series falls flat when it is not trying to be what the people that hate it wants it to be, it is just cool fights with cool characters, thats all.

This is so goddamn boring and unfunny, I dont even know what people see in this, tried to start this anime several times, after watching city and enjoying it a lot I tought, "oh I must have missunderstood nichijou all this time", wrong. I never missunderstood nichijou, it is just boring, a quarter of the time are incredibly small and repetitive quips that are never funny.
Half of the time is the child proffesor which is as annoying as a character can get, you just want to stop seeing her the moment she is on the screen, it is so infuriating, she is not cute,
...
not smart, not adorable, not funny, nothing. Only a quarter of the time can be considered funny with the girls, though I could not give more of 0 f***s than when they start doing japanese puns, jesus why so many.
I am just in awe how this is so praised while city is dying over there with no attention and less score, this is so unwatchable, I wouldnt finish the 24 episodes even if they paid me 5/10 mid as hell.

So I came across the mal site for touch many times, and because of the poster I always thought it was a manga and I got it wrong, that happened again, again and again.
Now I have finally watched it and I can confidently say that it is by far the author best work, better than cross game, better than mix, better than anything else. I would rank this as the best dramatic sport anime of all time.
No overexplaining rules 20 times, no "huh I unlocked this new secret ability and I will demolish everyone", no rushing it on a single year, no not finishing the
...
last year (looking at you ace diamon).
It is just perfect, the humour feels so natural, you can actually feel characters think about stuff and develope as persons. It has drama, humour and entertraining matches, you cant ask for much more.
All of this encapsulated with a perfect cohesive ost that directly tells what the characters are suffering inside.
Honestly the only fail of this anime is the annoying rich kid which becomes a baseball genious and a rival to the main character, and the way they dealt with him leaves a lot of room of improvement.
But overall a fanstastic anime, a must watch. 10/10

When you make a short you want to have a cohesive meaninful message behind it, baan doesnt really have anything.
The gmc escapes his world because of a controlling mother and ends up adopting a random orphan which is the fmc, she feels like a burden and escapes to the original gmc world, gets frustated, gets a job, is told to not use magic, she accepts her magic, she comes back to her world to reunite with his father, the gmc.
At no moment it is clear if the fmc quit her job or not to come back with her dad, which makes the whole experience
...
more confusing. If she didnt leave her job the whole premise is visit your parents? Meanwhile hypocrital gmc wont visit his family even once?
If she left the job, the premise is drop everything for your family? Which is still even more hypocritical for gmc.
So the only message that kinda works I guess, is that if you treat well your child, they will want to come back to you but if you dont they wont ever visit you????
I am gonna be honest, this just makes close to 0 sense, and considering there really isnt anything else you can take out of this anime short, it makes this that much pathetic

Certainly not bad, character design is really good, stories themselves arent bad but it leaves you wanting something with a more continued story, little mysteries are planted around but nothing is really tackled at all in these 24 episodes which can lead to people leaving it with a bad taste.
Still not bad 7.5 or 8 out of 10, watch if you like mushishi style mysteries.
But like I said if this was something else rather than yokai of the week, it would be much much better, the story just sorta dissapoints a little bit. No major arc or anything of that sort.

Like everyone else, I will use this review to express all my feelings about the entire anime. Firstly, I have never been a big fan of AoT, I always found it confusing how every season it seemingly felt like another show, again and again and again. Which was pretty spot on when season 4 started.
So season 1 is pretty incredible, a solid foundation of an innovative and creative idea, a civilization surrounded by giant walls. Incredible fights, with incredible animation, with spot on music on the best moments.
The problem is that all the promises the show had were piggybagged into the basement for 3
...
straight seasons, 58 episodes with the basement being the promise thing to explain it all, the death of erwin and everything that happened up to that point all rested on the basement, and the only answer the basement gave was the following "You probably already know there is another civilization out there but yeah there is a civilization out there that think you are demnos, kinda makes sense because we can be converted into titans lol"
This is not what they told us directly, but it is what it felt like, atleast to me, so much time and when we are finally given the answer, we basically have already gotten it, and it was something that simple anyone could have guessed on season 1.
To me the show tried to do too many things, is it a show that prioritizes the attacks and defenses of certain wars, or why are we in the middle of their recruitment training, what are we even doing trying to rescue eren. Why are we having an internal conflict about the queen right after that? This is not really an attack on the logic of what happened, but the themes were confusing.
But oh well we got the pop off that was season 3 part 2, so right now, 60 episodes in and we got a couple of good fights in season 1 and season 3 part 2, why? Thats why I hated AoT, it felt like such slop.
Here comes season 4, and wow, it is cool, time skip so we are going to see a grown up eren more powerful than ever, armin must have gotten a lot smarter considering he already was on a young age, they must have improved a lot their technology, and we got a global conflict.
Lets see what they have planned
The plan: Nothing.
It turns out Eren just went by himself to do stuff, no one really know what was the point of it, was it so they would leave the paradise island alone, nope cause they came right after. Was it to make contact with zeke? Nop cause they already made contact, they could have simply parted ways without the war, they could have smuggled zeke out, or even activate the power at that moment.
So yeah season 4 didnt have a lot of merit, meanwhile we have to watch gabi like two thirds of the part 1.
When I saw S4 part 2 I wasnt that interested in it, but it surprised me positively, I really enjoyed episode 4, everything started to make sense, he had to manipulate everyone in certain ways to make sure to achieve his goal.
Lets see Eren true plan
The plan: Still nothing
I get his goal, I really do, destroy every advanced nation so no one can go after paradise island, but wouldnt that just make paradise island the next tirany country?
This review is way more random that I usually make them, I am just confused, it is a lot of content, and it is not that easily to digest, there are a lot of good things, on episode 4 S4 part 2 I really thought they would bring it home, but it just sucks, I am sorry, everything just sucks, all the promises, all the results, all the relationships, everything just sucks.
The morale of the story for mikasa is to never forget your first love? The morale for armin is that genocide is good? The morale for zeke is maybe I should have thought the plan more? What even is happening.

I always thought this was the pinnacle of animes, after rewatching it again as an adult I can confidently and without any doubt say that it is overrated and by a lot, I actually dont think the anime should recieve a little more than an 8 and it is sitting at almost the number one spot with a 9.1
Now I hope you will hear me out, the animation is great, the sound, music, movement, fights, the fundamental ideas behind the anime, it is all great. Lets go for the bad, for an anime this long, it is important that it remains consistant and sensical, additionally
...
the resolution of certain buildups (character arcs) have to be worth it.
The Eldrics, they go on a search for a philosophers stone because they believe thats how they will get back their body, except midway of the anime, in episode 26, edward escapes glutony belly and sees the door where alphonse body resides, without paying any price. So now, tell me why alphonse couldnt have done the same? I refuse to believe that edward would forget that circle, or why does that circle in specific get to have no cost associated to it at all?
Then we are told the eldrics will take another solution, with xing transmutation, the problem? When they finally meet in the north, they dont exchange anything, the eldrics couldnt be less precupated about something they spent they entire life on, which is just weird.
Finally they get their body back, but it seems really cheap because it doesnt build up into anything thats previously stated, just that he had to get to the door, but we already knew that he could have gotten to the door in any of multiple ways. Finally edward gives up his ability to transmute to rescue alphonse, instead of using their dad philosopher stone, the issue is that his dad was going to die the next day anyway, the whole point of it feels cheap and manufactured.
Scar, we see the same moments of the war in 10 different perspectives across the entire anime, I wouldnt blame anyone from being sick of this entire plotline, which goes across every single arc. I liked scar initially, but it just drags on so so so much. Then you get to his brother research and he finally has his two arms, which was an entire other plotline about marcoh and may. All that buildup and story time, for their only use of both arms being killing a half killed wrath. So much screen time to not even impact the final fight at all, I mean he didnt even show up after defeating wrath against father, it seems like such a waste.
Country of Xing, we are talked about two prince/ss and about the country a lot, but it just feels cheap, there are 12 royal prince/ss, we dont really know what each of them are fighting for, we see 2 of them in Amestris and I assume the other 10 are doing similar-esque stuff in neighbour contries to gain power, but all that is just irelevant in the story, it is just fabricated side story that impacts nothing, it pads the other story lines but its use is very wasted.
Now we get to the promised day, in which they have a couple of days to prepare, they have the forces of both north and east Amestris. The north invades central, kills pretty much every guard inside and secures the place for the eldrics, scar and literally everyone. What does the east forces do? They explode a single train and call it a day, wow.
It is just so absurd that one force takes a whole base down and the other does nothing the whole day of judgment, the elder grumman just doesnt show up at all after exploding the train, thats it. Whats worse is that the east clearly didnt communicate blowing up the train was his intention, because they didnt have any clue to what to do in the communication center, they even blamed the north of killing the general even before they knew there was a dead body of the general, it just doesnt make sense, they just sold out the north entirely and killed hundreds of soldiers in both sides, both doing so thinking they were saving Amestris. It makes no sense at all.
Going over general stuff about the series, one question is how the hell there isnt an spectrum of alchemy, everyone seems to either have total control, or unable to even create a wall. Imagine in the final fights where the soldiers are shooting down the corridor so people cant come, why cant they destroy the bridge with alchemy, or even with explosives, why cant the opposite force make a bridge then with alchemy, and so on, it just doesnt make much sense.
Small complaints here:
I have no idea why izumi randomly decides to go north to inform them about father and homunculus. Like no one really tells her to do it, and it seems weird she thought that she would convince them, specially considering that her master gold steiner didnt seem to be there. It only worked out because they already knew about the threats izumi came for, and it helped the north soldiers and finally went to central, but the logic behind it all seems weird to me.
Alphonse agaisnt greed makes no sense, for one, at any moment they could have transmutated alphonse body so it has no openings at all and they would have contained pride completely. Secondly when hohenheim trapped pride and alphonse, alphone just needed to transmute some stairs down, walk them down, transmute to close the staits, make a hole to get out, and transmute the hole to fill up.
They dont really ever explain the thought process when special alchemy like mustang's or armstrong punch transmutation, which feels frustating as mustang is probably the strongest out of the entire group and armstrong is definetly in the top 5.
Thats all, I still think it is a goood series, like between 7.5 to 8, but there just is too much dissapointment to really rate it highly, I am entirely sure that it is this high rated because of nostalgia and not having good criteria back then.

Simple show about tennis, it is the type of sports anime more focused in the journey than anything else. It isnt afraid to skip irrelevant matches and points. While a full match of 3 sets could definetly last 4 episodes in other animes, here at times they quickly wrap them up in a single episode.
To me skipping irrelevant stuff is a plus, the anime is ultimately focused on the thought process in which the protagonist advances and the fact that he skipped a leisure guaranteed free life for something that he loves, though the thing he loves is not only tennis.
Nor the anime or manga
...
are finished, both of them got cancelled at different points of time but I think it is worth the watch, also the show even if it is not very applicable cause he does have an insane innate talent for tennis but as I said I do think a lot of his thought process covers everything, if you do stuff thoughtfully and diligently you will get results, and this anime might be a little inspiring if you are in need of some.
8/10 Not groundbreaking but really good sports with a touch of romance anime
