Simple show about tennis, it is the type of sports anime more focused in the journey than anything else. It isnt afraid to skip irrelevant matches and points. While a full match of 3 sets could definetly last 4 episodes in other animes, here at times they quickly wrap them up in a single episode.
To me skipping irrelevant stuff is a plus, the anime is ultimately focused on the thought process in which the protagonist advances and the fact that he skipped a leisure guaranteed free life for something that he loves, though the thing he loves is not only tennis.

are finished, both of them got cancelled at different points of time but I think it is worth the watch, also the show even if it is not very applicable cause he does have an insane innate talent for tennis but as I said I do think a lot of his thought process covers everything, if you do stuff thoughtfully and diligently you will get results, and this anime might be a little inspiring if you are in need of some.
8/10 Not groundbreaking but really good sports with a touch of romance anime

So I first watched parasyte when I was a young teen, after 10 years I decided it was worth a shoot to rewatch it, needlesly to say that I wasnt disapointed.
The main theme without a doubt is the circle of life, more so focused on canivores, forms of lifes that consume other forms of life to survive, parasyte has a double meaning because parasites in a broad sense is nothing more than a form of life getting its substance from another, which after seeing the show, makes you think if there is any difference between that definition of parasite vs carnivores, we both disregard any

other form of life apart of ourself to nourish us.
So yeah... the show spends its whole run showing how vile the parasytes are, just for us to be the other side of the same coin, and not only for being carnivours but for damaging the earth too.
Apart of that theme, there is the subtheme of growing, just like the parasytes grow in this anime, we see the main character grow aswell. We start off by being someone shy that after dealing pain to his mother, becomes a shell of itself, we dont see much of him but he probably didnt feel much if at all, would have certainly gotten bullied and would have never believed that he could be loved.
I am not saying this last part to make it seem that the anime is like something it isnt, but he undoubtly progresses as a person be it for having someone to bond, or for the many traumatic experiences. Which are two of the only ways to actually change in my opinion and the parasytes show it aswell, the two parasites with human host, the parasyte that became a mother, they bonded and grew much more than any other parasyte even when supposedly being weaker.
Lastly lets talk about the fragility of the parasytes, they mention this multiple times and if you really think about it you can really get to understand to what level of fragility they all have. We clearly see this with the 5-man parasyte, the reason he dies is not only because his weakness to compounds but also because he could not align all the parasytes to defeat izumi before regenerating.
And just like he could not align his 5 parasytes minds, I think something similar happens to every single parasyte, they need to be conceptually and mentally strong to remain whole, funnily enough they werent more easily defeated exactly because the military could not concieve of these alien-like manhunters to be frail, they are shown to think only about the possibility of ultimately killing them, which they intend to do with a high caliber shotgun. However exactly that is what makes it hard for them to be victorious.
Any use of fire, acid or mostly anything that affects cells in a pretty heavy way, just like they affect us, would have done the job much more efficiently. But they ignore that, just like we ignore everything that we put in the bound of not in our control even if it is in out total control, which goes over the many mentions of other live and the world suffering.

I am so confused, is this supposed to be a comedy anime? Nothing is funny but every plot line seems out of a mediocre comedy anime, the mc literally headbashes his head against a rock and jumps onto a truck while chanting magic magic magic over and over, then of course gets isekai'ed into a magical world with op powers (they never say why, he is just built diff I guess), on top of all that predicts the demon lord association out of thin air.
Then you got times where he guesses or goes to the exact correct position and by his own words he isnt

doing it on purpose, it is all coincidental cause if not he wouldnt be aura farming.
This has to be the most brainrot stupid show ever, how do people enjoy this, it is not funny, the fights are not intense, the plot is dogshit and they try to justify it with "oh but it is a parody", a parody making fun out of something that makes no sense only works if you are improving it somehow, you can parody someone pissing themselves by pissing in your pants, that doesnt make it any better.
The animation is generally fine but randomly they have shitty lighting ruining the whole mood.
There is nothing intersting out of it, it is simply the power fantasy of "I look so average but in reality I am the best", I dont know how such a superficial show has garnered so much attention.

This type of animes are why scoring 7.5 should be a thing.
Has a mystery, solves the mystery, the end. The show could have lasted 2 or 3 episodes less for my taste. The mystery was weird in the sense that it was done so the spectator could anticipate it, but the spectators and the main cast get different clues, the spectators know that her and the uncle had sexual relationship, so we could easily see from that point that she gave birth to a daugther there. In the other hand, the main cast has an unreliable narrator the uncle's wife, which doesnt reveal this information,

so they deduct it purely from elimination and the code.
Overall the show could have been better, magata getting to the rouf without getting detected by the system is a bit weird. Magata faking that she is getting arrested is also weird, I doubt saikawa would have done anything differently had she lied or not.

In my quest to see all animes over an 8 in score, I have found this one incredibly dull. There is nothing inherently wrong with episodic animes but the trade off of making episodic animes is that you gotta present something exciting each episode, this anime sadly doesnt do this, you know what is gonna happen the second the yokai of the week appears.
So, is atleast the slice of life aspect worth it? Also no, take the dullest mc you can imagine and make him 2 times more boring and you end up with natsume, you can predict how he will react to anything.

problem is how little consequential the episodes are, you never really feel like anyone is at any danger because they arent. You never feel the suspense or mystery a show like mushishi has, because this fundamentally lacks the ability to surprise the viewer or to challenge him at all.
I honestly cant believe how long it has gone for, if you are looking for yokai stuff just watch mushishi, if you have already watched that then watch in spectre.

Straight to the point, a complete anime in 12 episodes, clearly states what it wants to do and proceeds to do it, no bs around it, concise and to the point, I really liked it.
Good animation, good pacing, good backgrounds, really good in general.
A good palate cleanser after a lot of shows that fail to know what to do with their rom shows, just an anime about 2 introverts that are honest to themselves.
The rating perfectly sums up this show, nothing explosive happens but it is also a good all rounder 8/10
Dont forget to see the end credits texts, if they arent translated look for

ones that are.

Man why did they drag an episode for so long, you are telling me they forced us to watch the same episode 7 or so times, ALL OF THEM WITH THEIR OWN ANIMATION and they dont have the dignity to show us their slice of life last day that breaks the loop, it isnt anything special either, in any romance show this would have been the fireworks kiss scene, in any suspense anime this would have been a mystery slowly told via 7 episodes, some things really slightly changing in a way that if you pay attention you can figure out something cool.
But nop, f*ck

it, lets give them slop 2 months in a row, like who the hell thought this was a good idea? The animation was so good every single episode too, so why waste it on a story you have already told, you know they were able to give the sensation of the loop in 5 minutes per loop instead of 20 right? Or atleast every day they do different summer activities, there are only like 100 things you can do with friends in summer, who in the hell had this god awful excecutive decision, in my good conscience I cant give this more than a 2.
For anyone that hasnt watch it, nothing of this is spoiler, after watching season one skip directly to episode 5, jesus christ what a way to kill an anime, I loved season 1, I was binge watching it in my first watch, and then I encounter the biggest buzzkill that any anime has ever seen, deplorable.

I am incredibly dissapointed of this anime, I have been for about 3 to 4 years now, I began watching this anime since I was little, we are talking around 18 years ago, one of the things of my childhood that most vividly remember is the episode where takagi and conan are in an elevator with a bomb and ran is looking over from her school.
This anime/manga is beyond good, as a detective/suspense fan of everything, this anime is incredibly marvelous, all the cases were entertaining, you are never left bored and everyone that thinks they will enjoy mysteries should watch this yes or yes.
However,

this anime is not perfect, since the 800's episode it has gone more and more downhill, it has always had filler but since the 800's and beyond it has been so bloated, so incredibly bloated, to a point you have to wait 4 months for 2 or 3 episodes, yes a third of a year just for any little insignificant thing, and worst of all this is all way worse than what aoyama did before. I am not judging, I could have not come up with anything comparable to him, not close to 5 cases, and specially not hundreds, and even then he kept powering thorugh and I will love him for that forever. It is just that now there mostly isnt mystery, he has added so so many characters that just go nowhere, there are characters that were added in the 500's that still are yet to contribute anything to the story, nothing ever happens.
Worst of all is that the love the studio and production had for the show has died, mostly because they know they can get away with more and just gain more money but it is just sad that they dont even try to hide it. Firstly the elephant in the room the art change is really obvious there are around 4 or 5 times were the style has distictly changed, it is notmal for a show so long, but what is sad is the censorment of blood, things used to go crazy but those days are behind us. Secondly, the music and the tension it comes with has dissapeared for the most part, I think their beats are still memorable but the way they use them has gotten so formulated.
And last one of the things that pissed me off most is the 1000 episode special, which was just a remake of the 11th episode, the 11th episode is one of the fan favorites episodes so surely nothing can go wrong, it is a 50 minute episode, just make a 50 minute special. Whelp nop, divide those episodes in two 1000 and 1001, make them visually way worse and call it a day, you cant get more souless than that.
So with now approaching 50% filler rate, which probably can get up to 60% by the time the show ends, a lot of people might wonder if it is all worth it and the simple answer is yes, please watch this show, it is genuinly incredible, I loved every second of it for atleast the first 700 episodes and I have rewatched so many times because of it. It is a must read for anyone that likes mysteries and suspense, please give it a go, and please gosho aoyama end the series already, I know you can.

I watched this when it first aired and as I am trying to watch the rest of the top 1000 animes that I have never watched or heard about, I have wished more of them were like this one.
This anime has a clear purpose and follows it all the way thorugh with concise and entertaining sequence of episodes. Then I come back to this page and it is in the low 7's, when some of the worst and most boring animes are sitting on really high 7's and I cant help but wonder the flaws that people see in this.
This show is just so good,

and most importantly it is such a fresh air when you see these poorly excecuted plot twists in other shows

This anime is a sham and not only because of the animation quality, it should be beyond deplorable to copy 1:1 any other story first episode and yet this anime copies beat by beat the first episode entirely of mushoku tensei.
The fact that people think it is acceptable for any light novel, any manga or any anime to copy so much content from the start just because he thinks he could do it better shows how little creative and hollow people are, on one point everyone will do stuff like blindly critiquize anything just by a word association and in the other they will praise
...
for copying.
Not only that, not only it copies the same stuff: Born in another world hold by their new parent, running around as a baby, seeing their parent use magic, opening a book explaining that world, decides to try magic, and makes a big explosion that worries their parent.
This is basically what happens in both shows, the problem is that even when copied everything that made the first episode of mushoku special, completely fails on after end. All the events happening like observing magic abilities or the world are done in a voice in off as if he was retelling the story, instead of as if he was experimenting them for the first time. Instead of actually getting stronger with a methodical approach to the world magic system, he just becomes op since second 1, no mana training, just read in a book how to channel your ki and channel it.
People complain about the new trashy isekais every season but the fact that you guys are supporting manwhas like these of zero quality, is of why they make even shittier animes about it, everyone knows that it would flop no matter the animation quality, a shit better drawn is still a shit.
Dont even try to fool yourself into it being anything else but trash, it even supposedly cut content for the anime and still goes nowhere, on 15 minutes in mushoku, everything that happened in the first episode of after end already happened and with more quality worldbuilding and animation.
I hope this disgrace of an anime sends a message to stop blatantly copying stuff, if any other famous anime like fma, one piece or you name it, would have had their first episode stolen, I could already see 100 threads on every social media.
