Dandadan (Manga) add
Preliminary (3/? chp)
DANDADAN is a batshit insane manga and i love it.

Something important to point out here (after seeing so many reviews here neglect this fact) is that the mangaka was the main assistant on Tatsuki Fujimoto's Fire Punch, and Chainsaw Man, as well as Yuji Kaku's main assistant on Jigokuraku. Thats right people, this work isn't just recommended by those famous mangaka. Its by THEIR FORMER MAIN assistant

It is just as unpredictable as Fujimoto's Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man, completely ignoring most if not all convention about shonen writing.

Its jokes while crude and mostly sexual, are funny due to the mangaka's impeccable comedic timing.

The ...

Mars Red (Anime) add
Preliminary (4/13 eps)
Mars Red is without a doubt one of the best shows airing this season, and yet it is overwhelmingly underappreciated, with one of the lowest scores of the season (6.88 as of the time i'm writing this review). This has left me completely befuddled and I struggle to comprehend how somebody could give this show less than a 7 or a 8 after watching the first few episodes. The possible reasons for which i will illustrate briefly below

Mars Red starts off with one of the best, if not THE BEST opening episode i've ever seen in anime. The writing was simply BRILLIANT, for it introduced ...

Fire Punch (Manga) add
Fire Punch. Predecessor of the beloved Chainsaw Man and Fujimoto’s boldest, most disturbing, depressing, nihilistic and controversial work ever.

Currently the community is divided on whether to love it or hate it and it seems like the vast majority of readers seem to dislike it, dismissing it as utter nonsense and confusing, cheap edgy, and directionless writing. I too was once in their shoes, feeling absolutely lost and conflicted about whether I loved it or hated it when I flipped the final pages…

But upon several re-reads, I’ve come to the conclusion that Fire Punch is a prime example of a masterpiece, the greatest a manga can ...

Platinum End (Manga) add
It was extremely edgy from start to finish...

The art was beautiful though. the character designs of the Angels were ethereal and breath-taking. They looked beautiful and terrifying at the same time, which makes sense for a higher being.

The battle mechanics of this "battle Royale" was very refreshing as it featured fresh original ideas and concepts

However that's everything good that can be said about this work... the rest of the manga was rather mediocre in terms of depth and it featured rather shallow, surface-leveled character development, where some characters had personalities equivalent to cardboard.

But The ending was something I did not expect redeemed all ...

Kemono Jihen (Anime) add
Preliminary (5/12 eps)
It's sad how overlooked this show is because of all the sequels and big name shows this season. Kemono Jihen really is an underrated, hidden gem that hooks you in from the first episode.

The show may look kiddy to you but don't let appearences fool you as it is a surprisingly mature and dark show. Part of the new wave of "darker" shonens that are unafraid to show morbid, disturbing things every so often.

That said, even though the atmosphere when our gang goes out solving mysteries is often dark and unforgiving and contrasts heavily from the lighthearted and wholesome slice of life moments that ...

Chainsaw Man (Manga) add
Chainsaw Man is a breath of fresh air in today's overly-saturated isekai manga landscape as well as amongst its rivals/comtemporaries in jump. It doesn't rehash traditional character archetypes or stick to long established shonen cliche anime/manga tropes. Instead, it delivers an original, compelling, and even believable work of fiction.

story: 10

At first glance, Chainsaw Man may seem like your typical run off the mill shonen story. where the good guy pummels baddies and saves the day. but right from the get-go, you'll quickly realise that it ain't so typical, it's a morally grey, nuanced read. Chainsaw Man throws convention out of the window and does ...
