this pilot, like any, was created for the purposes of getting investors, for lack of a better word, invested in the series. for certain people at certain studios to be like, "yes, we will take your show, please". they throw in their own original character, another inspector alongside zenigata, that does not seem to be in part 1. though he might have been in the manga. or maybe he was simply a red herring, because his existence results in lupin and the gang getting away again.
having goemon work together with zenigata is an interesting decision, though it doesn't really fit in with what we see

badass... worthy of a spot on the site? ...no.... but it's a badass trailer...
this is a trailer for the 2001 hellsing anime, by the way, not hellsing ultimate. the inclusion of millenium members is questionable but it was before they decided to make up their own villains for the show. this works better as a trailer to hellsing ultimate than it does 2001, though. but it was still worth the watch either way. best 3 minutes of my life. not really but it was cool. since this is a trailer for hellsing 2001, it has the artstyle of the 2001 anime so that means we ... |
